Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - I think age is only a number. What matters the most is if you get along with the other couple and can see your self with them in that way ;)

Lake Powell 2013? - -
We would like to join the trip timing sounds good. We have a boat and truck to pitch in we can have couples ride with us if need be. was just curious because we new to the swingers thing. is it balls to the walls or what happens happens no push or a free for all lets hang and have fun.Would also like to know what to bring so can plan.
It's a fun time with a chance for a hook up if you are looking for one. No group I have ever been with would put pressure on anyone to do something they didn't want to do. Last year was very low key and people hooked up but it was never a wild crazy party. Lots of nudity and fun flirting but never any pressure to do anything. PLAYNW3 thanks for dragging me behind your boat last year, hopefully I can get you to do it again.

what the f#%@ was he thinking? - swingers still deserve respect - I have to agree. Unfortunately it is guys like that that make even just dating almost impossible for us "nice guys". It ruins it for men like me. Guys like that think they are such a gift. Far from it! Didn't your parents teach you clowns some Manners? On a lighter note, there are still some good classy people out there, not just for the "lifestyle", but in general socially. Keep the faith folks, you will find those good ones and want to keep them as long time friends and associates. Take care all and have a wonderful Independance Day!

Here's something Ive been curious about - -
I think over the years we've pretty much seen and heard it all in regards to this subject and who is and isn't a "real" swinger. It kind of all boils down to semantics, doesn't it? Is it really that important to label it and each other? If swinging is a more of a mindset then yes, singles (male and female) are swingers too. I think, perhaps, that what some of the couples might be trying to get at (inelegantly IMO) is that in many ways perhaps singles don't really have as much invested in the process as couples do. As a swinging couple (remember it used to be called "wife swapping") you are in effect opening your relationship to some very real risk. If you don't think that's the case you either are in denial or haven't been around the scene that long. Singles simply aren't running the same risk although it could be argued they do have some risks, especially single females who at very least have some safety issues going into sometimes unknown situations alone. I guess you could argue single males also have a few risks as well. Also, of course, there is the whole argument of singles "not bringing anything to the table". An oft quoted argument to denote they don't have a partner to "swap". True enough in some regards but not entirely true in that they bring themselves and variety to the table for those couples not looking for a couples swap or who want to fulfill other fantasies or who have difficulty finding a fourway connection or attraction. Ultimately I think it's unnecessary for couples who don't want to play with singles (most often it's just single guys, a double standard perhaps?) to diss singles by saying they aren't swingers. And it's also probably not necessary for a few singles to complain that they aren't given an equal place at the table when they indeed do not come prepared to risk the same that couples must risk. Bottom line. Swing how you want to swing and don't swing how you don't want to swing. There's actually room for everyone even if we aren't all necessarily sitting at the same table.
Absolutely agree. Well said Mr Evil! BTW...Do you know if those X-Ray glasses really worked?? I always wondered...still do. I have particulair attraction to "landing strips"....They could be real handy sorting out potential play partners!

lets talk about meet n greets - whats yours like? - There are several area groups that have meet and greets every weekend. Some happen in bars, resteraunts, and dance clubs. The number is so large (140-400) that it is a complete take over and the place is warned that the swingers are coming in. We do also have some swinger clubs that people can attend. There are several people that post that they have house parties. People that attend house parties can be from 20-60 people at least.

wife with other men - ahhhrrrggghhh - If you are going to be swingers the first thing you need to do is set boundaries for each other, if you are worried she is going to something you may not agree with sit down first and talk about what is ok and what is not!!! You can both enjoy this life style and not have to worry about jealously for example only play together. Go to parties, have another couple over or go to there place, etc. If that would be easier for you then you both are there and both in the fun. To be in this lifestyle you MUST TRUST YOUR SPOUSE!! you can't look at this as cheating because you are both committed to each other you are just sharing you sexual lives with other to fulfill a need no one in this lifestyle is looking for a new life long love just friends and fun. Make sure you talk to each other and express why you are worried set limits you both are comfortable with!!!!! If you don't think you can over come being jealous this life style is not for you!!!

Hedonism, Tempations, Sandals, or others? - - If you ever get a chance to do the Young Swingers Week at Hedo (especially in March) do it! In March they take over the entire resort and limit the guests in age and only couples...no single dudes. One member of the couple has to be 45 or under. The people that go are amazing! We made friends all over the US and Canada and have places to stay if we are travelling. Just spent Halloween in Denver with a couple we met at YSW at Hedo. They have theme nights every night, play rooms, top shelf alcohol, good (not great) food, day time activities (including free daily scuba trips if you are certified), four or five on resort restaurants (as well as the buffet), no tipping allowed and a lot more. We like spending our days layng on the beach or partying in the nude pool where you have hundreds of fully naked people around you all the time. The resort has a mandatory nude side and a clothing optional side. The resort is designed for swingers instead of just being lifestyle friendly especially when YSW takes over. It is truly an amazing experience that we highly recommend trying at least once...and once you have been, you will go back. We can not recommend it outside of YSW weeks because we have heard there can be lurking single men.

Imus Fired - The beginning of the end of Free Speech? - - Well it would seem that the people have the right answers are the swingers (lol). I am happy that a discussion like this can take place and that valid points are brought out that all of us can agree upon. Unfortunately for us and the future generations our friend TR's wishes that it would all just cease to exist is probably a very long way off (as far as our entire society adopting this idea). However we (the minority---(all races that agree racism should be eradicated regardless of what nationality it's against) can try and improve our own litle space and just hope that it becomes infectious. I personally would like to be treated and try to treat others based on the way the carry themselves regardless of what you look like (it seems that people are not only mistreated based on color but height, weight, education, social status, financial income, and yes even choice of music preference---as noted here just to name a few). In a perfect world we would all be blindfolded and could only draw conclusions about someone based on their actions, and then again would even that be correct??? I mean I enjoy the fact that people are different from me and enjoy different things---I can learn from them and hopefully have something to offer them as well (not just sex---mind out of the gutter, just for a few---lol) This was made clear to me as I learned the name of an african American nascar driver just from reading the replies in this forum. While I doubt that the few of us here have the perfect solution to make this ugly problem go away, it is at least comforting to know that there are PEOPLE in this world and on this site that seem to have a genuine concern for the fair treatment of all, and for that I'm glad that even though it was a cyber meeting--I still had the chance to communicate with you all......................

Meeting new swingers? - Where to meet them? - I think this is a hard one. In a small town, there probably wouldn't be a local swingers club so you'd almost have to resort to hinting around at bars or social gatherings. Obviously, you don't want to just come out and say 'Hey, we're swingers, how 'bout you?' But maybe trying to converse with a couple you may be interested in and gradually throwing out a hint here or there may be a way of going about it. Feeling out the conversation without being too forward. Maybe try to create a normal friendship with the couple at first, then introduce conversation that hints to the wild side down the road.
