Swingers at work... - - Yes it's fascinating, what kind of reaction you will get from people when you realize that you know them from some where else. I (male) had a similar experience on one of my many business trips. I was visiting a place far from home and was searching the local area as I do for someone to meet and try to find a tour guide of the local area. I have always figured why not be a swinger, because if we hit it off then everyone wins, new friends in different parts of the country. Anyway, I arrived at my business location and after about three days of working with this certain gentleman I notice A photo on his desk that was identical to one they had on their profile (different site mind you) now we had been working together for almost a week straight and he was a very nice man. So I pondered how I would suggest that I had seen the picture somewhere else, I figured that a nice little greeting card was the way to go. I politely wrote in the card, something along the lines of "I believe I have seen you and your wife on the site (bla, bla, bla,) and was interested in whether you two would like to spend sometime showing me the local area. Not once suggesting that we play. I gave him the card on a Friday, and I let it go for the weekend, hoping to chat with him and see what their reply would be. When I arrived at my work station on the following Monday I found out he called in sick, and had scheduled vacation for the rest of the week that I would still be there. I never did get any reply other then the cold shoulder. As I said it's very fascinating what kind of reactions you get from people.

How Do you Find Out - Question about Friends - For the most part, DON'T ASK... There are WAY more NON-SWINGERS in the country than swingers, so your chances of your friends being swingers is slim. There are a few things that will point to swinging. Check her closet. If there is allot of club wear the chances are better. Ask about their vacations. If they mention a place like HEDO they are pretty much swingers.. If there is a couple you would like to play with you can create a fun night and when things feel right, ask if they have ever thought about swinging... Keep in mind that not all swingers want to be KNOWN due to family, friends, jobs etc. Good luck... ... Steve

find a girl to join us - - Ok, are you effin' kidding me? I am so sick of ppl whining because they can't find a single woman. Does this website look like finda3sum.com? No, it's a site for swingers! Go to craigslist and come back when you're ready to play the game like it's supposed to be played!

Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - Pretty interesting all the different cars we all have. Just as different as all the swing styles and personalities. Well if any of you with the classic cars, muscle cars, Camaro's, Mustang's, Corvette's or similar sports cars get out to a car show or cruise shoot us a message and with time permitting hopefully we can make it out.

When age matters.... - - To me it seems it really is a matter of attraction and yes everything is relative. With most of us wanting some level of anonymity as far as public pictures are concerned our profiles are unwrapped packages. Our profiles display numbers for age, weight, etc., and we probably all consciously or unconsciously make erroneous judgments based on those numbers. I have a friend I work with whose weight, by the numbers, would turn some people off. A photo would do her partial justice unless you didn't like tattoos, which about cover her. To see her in person, with that smile, those eyes, her enthusiastic yet thoughtful hyper animated self, she is very attractive. To know her personality, well she is the kind of lady everyone wants to at least live next door. Pebble Rock forgive my old dude ramble, but I think that at least for me the more I esteem and enjoy other people as they are for who they are the more I esteem and enjoy my own company. If sex at some point happens then great and if not then that is fine too. I do not approach anyone with the expectation save the Mrs., and she toward me because we have established for thirty years that we really like each other. To harbor a can we fuck now, can we fuck now, can we fuck now attitude with am eye singly fixed toward sex could lead to disappointment due to the unmet expectation. I enjoy the vanilla world and vanilla people immensely and so why would I not enjoy that same sort of human non sexual intercourse with people that are that are swingers where the possibility of sexual intercourse also exist. It is a possibility and if you jump in the water with no expectations and a positive attitude perhaps a probability with some delightful people. As for rejection just because someone does not want to have sex with you does not mean there is something wrong with you. As for the hyper critical sorts, I find that the appearance first and always foremost attitude that some swingers display is really unattractive but only malevolent when they go on the attack to insult others. I really have a hard time believing they are really deep down that shallow. They are also most probably mostly wonderful people just trying to find themselves and feel accepted just like all the rest of us. As for age cut offs. We do not have any so long as they are consenting adults. We began swinging when I was 49 maybe 50 and she was 43 maybe 44 and we have had sex with one couple in there twenties quite a few times, and one couple they also know once that are also in their twenties, a number of couples in their 40s a few times and a few times with one couple in their late fifties that are now in their early sixties. As for singles our lovers have ranged from their twenties to their forties. We have been so busy as of the last two years that we do not get out much, hence we have not played much either, but the last time we actually went to a meet and greet almost a year ago we met a delightful sexy couple in their early 40s that are also extremely busy that we do not see enough but when we do it is most gratifying in most every way possible. Have we had people try and manipulate us into sex or or be rude to us? Yes we have. Have made some mistakes ourselves as swingers? Yes we have. You cannot make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. In a few months after finishing a couple of goals we will be back in the swim on a more regular basis with no expectations. Just knowing the possibility is out there is exciting in and of itself.

What really defines a TRUE swinger? - -
We never have viewed single males as swingers. To to us and most of our swinging couple friends single males are cheap sex toys you carefully pick from, use them on rare occasions and then return them and forget them. Sounds harsh but the great thing is that is exactly what the majority of single males that we have all met like. We have only met a couple single males out of hundreds that have broken the mold and surprised us.
For the record at least our experience we have met far more couples where one or the other of them is just plain weird than singles. In fact we almost prefer singles over couples for that reason. Either way life is too short for bashing fellow Lifestylers. People should take their bad attitudes & imagined desirability somewhere else!

Disneyland swingers - - Going in the Spring.

Single Males - -
...get a girl to join you....Not only do you now "bring more to the table", but you have the added credibility that if you can find and finesse a girl into joining you in this little adventure we call swinging (whether it be a girlfriend, a wife, a second cousin twice removed, or just a hot fwb) you might just not be a giant douchecopter.
Ignoring the need to "finesse" someone and unhealthy gender stereotypes in general, this line of reasoning is a little troubling as it presumes that a male's company is inherently worth less. Or that an absence of semi-romantic relationships somehow speaks poorly of his character. I personally think approaching someone whom you aren't already fairly close with and soliciting to go to a swingers party is a bit out of line. Especially if her company is sought as an accessory to demonstrate to others that he is not, as you say, “a douchecopter”. Call me old-fashioned.
I know we can't be the only people who secretly wonder just a little bit about some single guys and why they aren't with somebody. Do they secretly hate women (yes, we've met some that actually do), are they just too lazy (or busy, maybe...but hey, we're all busy) to find someone, are they serial killers and/or just not very nice guys?
Oh, I hope you are! That's a really unfortunate outlook to have. Promising relationships take time to find, let alone build to the requisite amount of trust and stability to try things like this. In the mean time, I don't see anything wrong with someone pursuing their interests while still holding out for someone worthy of their emotional investment. To me, that behavior is quite attractive should be respected! It doesn't get any better than someone who is confident, self-actualized, and motivated to pursue their desires. Sadly, it sounds their gender influences whether this is seen as a desirable trait. I'm not sure how long you've been out of things (30 years?), but it's easy to forget the struggle when you're comfortable in a marriage. Things are more fluid. People don't feel the need to settle down like they used to.
I know many will say they've tried and swinging is a deal breaker for most women. After almost 3 decades in the swinging trenches meeting and talking to other people, both couples and singles, we would disagree....many, if not most, women could eventually come around to the idea of swinging once they feel safe and secure in a relationship.
This is just confirmation bias if the evidence comes from a sample of people you have met while swinging.
...those of us who DID put in all the blood, sweat, and tears into a relationship and allow it to grow to the point of daring (don't think for a second we aren't risking a LOT in opening up our relationships to other people!) to allow others access to our significant other sometimes wonder why some others want to take a shortcut to all the sweet swinging bennies with little or no risk on their own part.
If you're not comfortable sharing your wife with someone you might view as a potential competition, you definitely don't have to. On the other hand, there are a lot of people enjoy it :) This smacks of the old “you must suffer as I did” chestnut.

Slowing Things Down - An argument for taking your time. - That's a lot.... did ya'll cramp up typing this? Whew ! On the topic, we are always friends first... it makes the actual play much better ( in our own humble opinion )
A nice, slow, buildup might be ideal. In the vanilla world, the buildup often begins long before the first date. You meet a co-worker, or a fellow student, or someone who you see at the coffee shop, and there is some immediate attraction, and eventually you connect on a more physical level. If we are hoping to make those sort of connections, within the swinging lifestyle community, then we are going to have to find a way to run into lifestyle people frequently, and casually. If there is no, or limited opportunities to just run into swingers, enough to build relationships like that, then the way we end up meeting is through dating. If you are swiping right and you are vanilla dating, online, if there is shared chemistry and attraction, you will have a second date and so on and so forth. If the chemistry is super hot, even in the vanilla world, people sometimes fuck on the first date. If the sexual intimacy was superb, that might just accelerate the depth of the shared communications, the amount, and the quality of the time together. The way we see it, if there is some super hot chemistry, on a swinging date, if sexual intimacy happens, the same sort of acceleration in the relationship might happen. It might not. If it doesn't and the sex was good, well, good sex beats mowing the lawn. For us, we raised five kids, who all grew up to be happy, healthy successful adults. All but one of our kids have significant others. Some have kids, which makes us grandparents. Our kids and our grandkids, really like us, love us, and we really like and love them, so we spend a lot of time together. We have friends from work and friends from the neighborhood, and we have jobs. Seriously, dating, at the level we dated, when we were wooing each other, in terms of time, well we just don't have it. If non-monogamy was the openly celebrated norm, and friends openly fucked each other, as a normal part of a friendship, then we would all just naturally end up in those sorts of relationships. Well, except the assholes. Assholes don't flow into meaningful relationships. They take advantage of people's vulnerabilities and loneliness. Manipulation isn't friendship. Demanding people, who wish to break you into the vision of their expectations don't want to be your friend. No give, just take. You'll never be able to give them enough. You owe them nothing, and yet, they will shame you for not giving them exactly what they want when they want it. If we can all just avoid the assholes, then what we do get to share with good caring people, is a privilege and for lack of a better term, a blessing. Good people, reaching out, accept and defend each other's vulnerabilities, even if that means some disappointment and patience, and that takes an honest caring person. Sexual desire honestly expressed is surrounded with vulnerability, and romance even more. I changed subjects there for a moment. Since what swingers do is considered taboo, as a social norm, then that leaves dating. Let's face it. Dating is hit and miss, when it comes to making a lasting connection. When four people are involved dating becomes maybe a bit more complicated. We are not apposed to the slow burn buildup. If we meet someone and there is a spark, that is the motivation. If there really is a nice shared spark, and they want to jump ahead and build the fire, we probably won't say no.
