question about kinks/fetishes - terminology question - I know this may be self explanatory.but I(male) am JUST a guy and i dont get it.
the term s anal sex "giving" and anal sex "recieving"
anal sex "giving" means BEING penetrated? or does it mean DOING the penetrating?
anal sex "receiving " would then mean the opposite.
EX: Female likes be penetrated anally so she is giving or is she receiving?
She would "giving" her anal opening to her partner but then again she would be "receiving" her partners organ into her anal opening.
I looked in the swingers glossary and found nothing that differentiates between the two.
Call me dumb, ignorant or whatever I dont care. As long as i get an honest answer .
my wife likes to be penetrated anally and i like penetrating her anally but i am just not quite sure which is the correct way to mark the boxes in the kink/fetish section of the profile.
Thanks and Happy Swinging

Bubulaplease - Sandy station? - We went to Sandy Station and were immediately approached by someone who knew we were swingers. I guess we just give off the " I'll fuck the shit out of you." vibe. That being said, we loved the club, the ambience,(except the music) but the people were super nice. Can't wait to go back.
How do you spot a Swinger..?! - tell tell signs of the lifestyle -
The mention of "Hedo" strikes me as fairly good 'code'.
Funny you should mention that. Not sure that would work so well: we went to Hedo 2 and were surprised by how many vanilla's there were there. After a few days, we took to breaking the ice by asking if they "were on any lifestyle sites?" or if they "had their profile posted anywhere as a couple".
Being that we were at Hedo, we were obviously not afraid of offending anyone (it is Hedo after all!), but it quickly let us know what their status was. Even still, the couples we ended up hanging out the most with were non-swingers.

P.S. Oh, and then we had my college friend who, when we told we were going to Jamaica, asked if we were going to "that Hedo3". 90% sure he is vanilla.
Hanging out this weekend - Habits tonight?? -
We enjoy it if there is a couple we are interested in they have sections that aren't so loud that you can talk. But yes it is loud. And we have run into lots of swingers there lots of times. But I hear that a lot I think most people don't talk to people or just walk up to a stranger(s) and say hi. But I the male half does a lot that's how you meet people and then once you chat a bit it comes out that they are swingers. Not a big fan of he meet and greets it's always the same people unfortunately. And that's great for some but we haven't really made a connection at any that we have been too, yet.
We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. Well, maybe Mr. Delicious will put on a collared shirt just in case we head that way but for now we are thinking maybe the Green Pig sounds fun.
Std and sti testing...? - -
We have a $40.00 co-pay. If physicians are doing their job, they will ask you questions. Whereas our physicians know that we are non-monogamous we always have a non judgmental honest conversation, with our physicians about our sexual activities since our last examinations. Testing does not replace condoms, and that is especially true if you are willing to play with someone who does not get tested on a regular basis. Swinging multiplies the swingers risk. Risk prevention is a choice. We feel less comfortable playing with someone who always uses protection but never gets tested than someone who may have occasionally foregone protection but gets tested regularly so long as they have been tested since the last time they had swing sex without or really even with protection. Which leads into the next paragraph.
Sometimes people choose to form relationships involving maybe just two couples, or a small group of people that get tested on a regular basis and remain exclusive, partly so that they can play without condoms. Yes there are still risk, and you have to be really careful about who is in the group, and really who even knows about the group. Yes we have been part of a group like that in the past and it rocks! Oh well, people get new jobs and move away, or go back to monogamy, or want to play the field again and groups disband. We would do it again with the right group of people.
We count ourselves lucky that as swingers we have remained healthy. Swinging is risky. Certain types of activities add to the risk. Anything that increases the level anonymity between sex partners, or decreases any participants level of personal choice and control adds to their risk. Testing and condoms reduce the risk but they do not eliminate it. We all make our own risk verses reward choices. Testing at least lets us know that at that point in time we appear to be safe to play without putting our lovers at risk.
Dear Delicious— thank you so much for your thoughtful reply/discussion here. There ARE a lot of factors and risks to consider while in the Lifestyle; we’re all after fun, right? Good to be thinking of ways to avoid negative consequences that would put a big damper on the fun...
A&E New show about swingers... - neighbors with benefits.... -

Why would any industry sponsor shows about the positive side of Swinging? I doubt there is any big money in promoting the swing lifestyle any more than there is profit to singing the praises of plural marriage. The vice industry might even suffer financially should swinging really catch on. This is a lifestyle that must eat the crumbs that fall from the gay lesbian table to acquire any "me to" acceptance. It seems like social and financial suicide for the deep pockets.
They had a swinger pride parade in new Orleans this year. Maybe in 20 years we can have a table too.
Except that's a false equivalency; swinging is a choice people make. No one is born as a swinger. This is like comparing wearing contacts to having green eyes; one chooses to wear contacts, one doesn't choose to be born w/ green eyes.
Game ON....which sign is Hornier...(is that a word?) - zodiac signs of swingers? - At our crazy all niter two weekends ago at JJ Western Swing, we started asking people what their sign was. It amazed me that most of the people there playing were either Taurus or the majority, Gemini.
Now I know all you Scorpio's are going to jump in here and claim it's YOU. Everyone agrees you are the most promiscuous... but seriously.... I was surprised.
I am wondering if Gemini's maintain this professional, analytical front during the week and on the weekend the evil, naughty, nasty twin busts out. Can anyone enlighten me?
I do know that I sure enjoyed playing with that guy, which ever twin was taking over!!
The game is on!
xoxo Tori - Taurus / Tan - Gemini

Are swingers moral? - Who determines what morals are? - There's so much to write here, so I think I'll just bring up two points. In my experience, someone who has realized Atheism through careful and philosophical thought, tend to be much more moral than theists. Furthermore, the bible has to be the worst script imaginable to derive ones moral bearings--especially the old testament. If taken literally, the bible has many examples where rape, genocide, incest, and much more are excusable under certain conditions.
KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was a a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. They alos had a marriage and family therapist who talked frequently throughout the story. Here is the link to the story on the KUTV website. Oh, and they mention Habits and Club 90.

Admit it, you'd love to see a Get Gephardt story on Swingular.
{Serious consumer protection music fades in and then out again.}
Man in silhouette - "I was promised loads of free and easy nookie, a lifetime of it! And at a low, low price. All I got was pictures of dicks even uglier and wrinklier than my own. And this Heidi lady who never even showed up!"
{Gephardt nods w/ an empathetic brow furrow.} "We reached out to the owners of the website for their side of the story; we'll update you when they reply."
{Gephardt grows old over the following decades and eventually dies of old age before owners reply.}
Having a hard time meeting people - - Chocol8ee, KUDOS WELL PUT!!!We have also been told to go look in clubs..LOL in prior comments to yours on this post. Lifestyle???? Him does not everyone in the world live a differnt livestyle I am so sure that no 2 diffent house hold live the same, similar yes that same no! Who am I or anyone on this site or any place to judge any1. I have my opion yes but, to tell some to post a pic (when i send an email or reply I always attach a pic) or go to another site because they dont like your so called lifestyle is messed up. People reserve the right to have privacy for what ever reason in there life. Judgemental should we say. The infamous unicorn is ofcorase ideal in many cases, but to want to explore beyond that is also great. I personal do not care to learn about the swingers lifestyle if it is being shallow to others. It seem to me that even though swingers everyones lifestyle is still different cuz we have differnt wants, needs, or coursesites. We just have similar interest puting us in a swingers click so to say.
