KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - I can't say too much since we were Mormons when we first started swinging (still are, I guess,...technically). But it's been hilarious over the years to meet so many LDS couples who played HARD on Sat. night but left the party early to get up for church the next morning. The REALLy funny ones were those who would email us on Sunday night telling us they were going to quit swinging (Sunday guilt?) and then about Wednesday write us asking where the party was going to be the next Saturday night. One couple we knew did this almost weekly! LOL

We go to a quiet little bar with a deck over the water, and what do we findout.. The waitress and her boyfriend are into swapping... we find out there are people here, meeting in bars with out the net.. when we meet, folks we are interested in a public setting, and we tell all potential playmates we would prefer to meet and see how things go.. We try to stress we make no plans to play that night... But we dont rule it out either.. Depends on everyones comfort level.. Plan for anything expect nothing the first date... Ya never can tell...

Finding a balance - Swinging and Religion - - I do think that the Christian church has it wrong regarding non-adulterous sex. After all Jesus said that the law was made up of love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. That says nothing about voluntary, non-cheating sex. Wannabes and net fakes - Will the real lifestyle members please stand up - How many of you have taken the time to examine just how many of the coined and meaningless profiles there are on the net in general, not just here on this site. We have been in the lifestyle as life as allowed for over 25 yrs. Long before the introduction of the net. Now it seems the lifestyle as an entire new perspective. Lets see we have who knows how many version of "swingers" Hard, soft, mild, wild, interested, looking for, etc etc. That said and in consideration of all of these well coined and copied versions, I have a suggestion for one, HOW ABOUT "REAL" Real replies to emails or messages, Real arrives for scheduled meetings, Real post genuine pictures, Real is proud of their gender and does not have to "fake" another's, Real would never open a dialogue with "interested what are you looking for", Real has actually either involved themselves in the lifestyle or at the least have a genuine desire to physically do so, not play games. And finally, "Real" respects others by being real in person, on the net and or the phone, Give it a try people, you may find this lifestyle very interesting by being "Real"

LDS Survey Results - - Believe what you want to believe, but how can you judge anyone else for their actions or beliefs? So what? you don't agree... no need to get nasty or judgemental of others who believe differently than you do. I venture that since you were once a practicing Mormon, you feel the need to be as judgemental as you deem others in the religion are. Quite sad that you must have had some bad experience with someone who was active LDS which put a bad taste in your mouth. People aren't perfect. Nobody is. One must strive for their best and make their own decisions as to how to live their life. If that means I go to church and serve in callings, I'm not being two faced. I am exactly the same person at church as I am with my friends, both swinger and non-swinger. Do people bring their sex toys to church to use in sacrament meeting? No. Well, they must be two-faced too. Who I am as a core human being is not defined by us having extracurricular bedroom activities. There is no lying or deceitfulness. You may think it's wrong, but my husband and I (and several other LDS swingers we know) are comfortable with our choice to play and can still be decent moral people. I don't wish to argue, just wanted to voice that I don't feel ANYBODY has the right to judge.

The national divorce rate is 3.4% with Utah slightly higher at 3.6%. The percent of divorced residents in Utah is reported as 9.3% which is the 18th lowest in the nation. Don't ask me how those numbers reconcile. It has something to do with immigration into the state I am guessing. New Jersey reports that 8.5% of it's residents are divorced and that is the lowest in the nation. Well what do you think? Did more than 3.6% of all the swinger couples, that you have met end up getting a divorce? Was it over swinging? Are more than 9.3% of the swingers population divorced? This would include all the singles now swinging that were once married. One woman telling the media how swinging ended her marriage is anecdotal at best. Do I believe she is telling the truth? Yes I do. Do I personally believe swinging ads an extra element of jeopardy to a marriage? Yes I do. Do I believe there are quite a few people that would be happier staying away from the swinging lifestyle? Yes I do. Never-the-less, most of the couples, we have personally met, that are swingers seem to enjoy swinging and frankly enjoy doing it together. Do I believe there are quite a few couples who will enjoy swinging? Yes I do, we certainly have enjoyed the lifestyle experience as do a lot of swinging couples we have met. In the end if you are a married couple you have to make the decision based on the two of you, as to whether or not swinging is a good thing in your lives individually and as a couple. As for statistical models as to the divorce rate within the community of swingers well there aren't any. This isn't really a news story it's sensationalist journalism designed to attract viewers. Anyway, the divorce rate has been going down since the 1980s and swinging has been on the rise since the 1980s so you could make an analogy that swinging is saving marriage. Yes it would be a bunch of anecdotal bull shit just like this story.
