Damn Utah couples! :) - - (This should start a little debate and raise the hair on a few people's necks) There are many hotties in Utah. Sexy, fun, people who are great to hang with (and play with). Well.... If you think you want to go to Utah to meet these sexy people, we suggest a visit NOT a permanent relocation. We lived in Florida for 10 years and then moved our family to Utah for 5 years. Its hard to describe how difficult it is to live a "normal" life in Utah because the Mormons control so much of the total "consciousness" in the state. Especially if your wife and kids are Catholic. Utah is beautiful and the people are nice. However you almost have to go "underground" in order to have real fun and enjoy things that elsewhere are commonplace. The government, liquor laws, and the social interactions are heavily controlled by the Moron church. The mainstream populace, as well as the non-mormon citizens, are heavily influenced by the Church and because its everywhere... it seems normal. Its hard to see what I'm talking about until you get out of there and look back. Utah is a great place to visit, a great place to ski and play, but its definitely not "The Place" for free-thinking swingers types. Disclaimer: I grew up LDS in Utah. Graduated from high school and a major University in Utah before moving out of state. Most of my family is still there. Growing up in Zion everything seems normal until you live elsewhere and move back.... then you realize how the Mormon church controls almost all aspects of life there. We return to go skiing and visiting family multiple times each year. Its a great place to be from. Now if you live in Utah, there is no need to get all pissed off and write a diatribe about how much you love your state. I love Utah too. I just hate the heavy-handedness and the hypocrisy of the faithful. There is also no need to try to explain how you get along just fine in the Beehive state... I'm sure you do. Unless you grew up as a Utah Mormon, moved away for an extended time (no, a mission, or a cruise to Mexico, doesn't count), and then moved back to experience the contrast, you don't have a real understanding what I'm talking about. :p BLUEDECEMBER... Rather than travel to Utah for fun.... why not travel to "full-swap land" for an even better adventure??

Swingers Next Door! - ABC news story on Swinging! - There is a REAL reality show about swingers! Or as close as you can get. Completely unscripted, completely real! They only ask to restart a scene if they missed audio or need additional video (they are trying to tell a story, so it only makes sense that they do this)... The show represents the lifestyle in a sexy and accurate way. We've participated in the show two different seasons (on 5 episodes total) and will continue to do so as long as they let us. They do it with integrity and we are both incredibly proud to say that we are a part of such a great show. It's on Playboy TV, it's called SWING! Nothing like the drama filled, scripted, and utterly unrealistic show on A&E. We highly recommend checking it out! We're going to try and have a party as each episode releases for the upcoming season with our lifestyle friends (everyone should!). Oh, and the other bonus, it's on Playboy TV, so there's plenty of nudity and sex!!!!! Need I say more?

Curious Question - - Actually POOHBEAR... its a major secret society, (swingers), that have been practicing underground in this area, away from public opinion ever since the pioneers came west. Recently it was exposed by the 20/20 news show and now everyone wants to get in on the action. Seriously... most of the western area of Nev, Utah, Ariz. etc is desert and the cities grow where ever water is available. That means alot of empty space in between cities. As for the number of people in lifestyles... I think alot of us just got bored and had to find something better to do than go bowling at night. Swingers Next Door! - ABC news story on Swinging! - I've heard that the A&E show is just what I thought it'd be, the young & beautiful and tension emanating from the vanilla neighbors. Of the 3 things I expected, so far, apparently, there hasn't been a marriage destroyed by swinging, but I'd be surprised if that doesn't turn out to be part of this "reality" show. But after just 1 episode, it looks like I'm 2 out of 3. I'm sorry, but I really think the show is an attempt, probably successful, to exploit something most people would find edgy and fascinating. I'd love to see a REAL reality show about swingers, but somehow I doubt that will ever happen because it wouldn't fit the "successful TV show" formula well enough. The closest I know of to an honest portrayal of things society thinks are taboo was that "real sex" series. And look how long that lasted. Certainly not long enough to have covered the many things that would have fit into the show's premise. If it was still running now there'd still be lots of things out there for new episodes. My suspicion is that while the title might have been, the actual shows just weren't sensational enough for it to be a long term success. ~ Terry
