Elusive FMF - Your thoughts? - Hello All! Forgive the long post - but I simply wanted to respond to what VP stated SO well. Posted by VP: Here's a question: Is it that a single swinging female is all that elusive, or is it just more likely that a woman who's secure enough in who she is to have a liberated lifestyle is probably more likely to have a boyfriend / husband? Thus making it a simple fact of life and society that the whole concept of a liberated single female is for the most part a myth or at best a temporary state. Guys are programmed to be tomcats. There comes a time when "every boy must become a man". But little girls are taught that "sex is something only for your husband". Society accepts single males prowling about generally - that's why when a single guy get shat upon in a swingers site, the resultant wailing bears striking resemblance to a chorus of whining mules. They don't get it: "They don't like me? Why? I'm hot..." Now if a woman were to go out there looking for it, then she's branded a home-wrecker, "slut", "whore", or worse. Tell me you'd sign up for that cruise? IMHO: I think when a couple starts kvetching about the lack of single females, they might do well to have a look at why it is that they want just a woman and not her S/O. Chances are, deep down those same paradigms that are causing the lack of single females are deeply rooted in their own attitudes. ---------- From the "not so elusive" Te: From my perspective I would have to agree with these statements wholeheartedly. On Premise in Tampa? - - Hey guys......There is a swingers convention in kissimmee that weekend its going to be a blast...

KSL swing story - - For those of you guys out of town. This is the transcript from the KSL website. "Everyone has shared their partners with everyone else in the room." "You're in happy valley and you think nothing like that could happen." An Eyewitness News Investigation takes us inside a delicate subject few people like to talk about -- infidelity, couples cheating, in secret, in the open, and joining a movement that appears to be gaining momentum. We heard persistent rumors that spouse-swapping and adultery is commonplace in certain suburban neighborhoods. We discovered those rumors were based on at least some truth. People told us they were being recruited -- marriage counselors say they are seeing more if it. There aren't statistics or easy answers, but it's clear the effects can be devastating. Love, commitment, holy matrimony. In Utah, where marriage vows and family values run deep. Woman: "They said it was more exciting when their spouse was involved." This story will open eyes to something many would like to keep secret. "It was taboo within their religious background." "I thought, this can't be happening here. This is Utah." Sometimes it's kept very quiet, among neighbors and friends. Other times, it's out in the open. Studies show infidelity is to blame for more than half of divorces in Utah. What we found surprised even experts. We knocked on doors, attended a party. We heard stories by phone, by email, but nothing could match what we heard in a pocket of Draper. "Something was wrong with every other neighbor in that neighborhood." Her husband's indiscretions shattered their marriage. "Intensely, intensely painful. It's the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life." The divorce final, he remarried one of their neighbors within a week. It seems adultery ran rampant. Up the block it was consensual with other married neighbors cheating together. People told us they moved to get away from it and stayed inside to avoid it. Across town one woman told us she just wanted to run from it: "Everyone in the room had shared their partners with everyone else in the room. These people had been married five, 10, 20 years." She and her husband were invited to a barbeque with couples from Draper, Provo, Sandy and Salt Lake. A doctor made a move. "He's hitting on me, like he's single, and his wife's sitting right there. I think, there's another motive to this party and it's not just to hang out and meet new people." They got out of there. While there's no data, experts say it's proof of a trend. Vicky Burgess/Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist: "I think, because sexual relations and sex itself is more open, I think we're seeing more of it." We found there are several parties where couples can meet. Randy Chatelain, Ph.D./ Marriage and Family Therapist: "I believe this kind of behavior is going to catch up with a couple, because where does it stop? What more do you have to involve to create the high?" Hundreds of couples pack a popular Sandy nightclub. "A lot of people nowadays have fantasies and they want to fulfill them with their significant other. This is the best way to do that." This man, who asked not to be identified, built a business, helping couples meet at parties. His website suggests spouses can be in love and still enjoy sex with others. "They figure, 'I would much rather do it with the person I love than have them do it behind my back.'" From the looks of it, he's pretty successful. He has 4,000 members living in Utah. How fast is it growing? Four years ago there were 150 members. How common is it? Posing as a married woman, we signed up on a website aimed at so-called "swingers." In six days, 70 married men, most from Utah, ask to start a fling.

Newbee! - Need advice - First off, expect to run into some flakes, people who will agree to a meting and not show up. There are all kinds of different reasons someone might do that, but just the fact that they don't show is the important thing. It's kind of sad, but it's just a fact of swinging life. But keep in mind that those people are not that majority. Second and this is what's probably causing you difficulty, is that it's in many ways a numbers game. If what you are offering is what lots of people want, and if what you want to do is what lots of people are into doing, you'll have large numbers of swingers out there who could be interested. If either of those are something not very many people want, the number o people gets limited. If there are 4000 people on the site whose interests re the same as yours, you'll stand a much better chance of finding people with whom you're really compatible than you would if there are only 100 or so out there. And, while the actual numbers I used are likely way wrong, you're in the second category. You might want to think about adding that while you want the hubby to get a BJ from a guy, it isn't actually a requirement. In fact, if it were me, I'd leave that out altogether. While people do sometimes find someone online, meet with them, and then hook up, that happens less frequently, I think, than people hooking up after meeting in person at an event or party. When you meet in person, both couples can get an idea who the others really are, and whether or not they want to play. If both couples decide they want to, that's when you can talk about what you'd like. You might even want to forget about the guy-guy stuff at first, and bring it up as a possibility after you've known the couple for a little while. Men in general have a real problem with male on male sex, and just bringing it up at the start might scare some people off. But if you do start some kind of playing relationship with someone, do not try to sort of sneak the male-male thing into it, say in the middle of a play session. If you reach a point where you think they might be open to it, make sure you discuss it beforehand. That having been said, there are bi guy on the site. In fact, there's even one whose username is something like bi for couples, a single guy who wants to play with both halves of a couple. You probably ought to go to some meet n greets and some events so you can meet people, rather than relying on just the site itself. Probably the best place to meet and hook up is at parties, and you need to meet people so that you'll get invited to some. ~ Terry

Party every sat night - - ENTRE NOUS In Washington DC every saturday night there is a nice club that opens for swingers. ABC laws do apply, but it is a great way to meet other couples in the area. You don't have to join the website, just look it over for info about the club. http://www.entrenousqueen.com/AdultWarning.html

Now that you're one of them there fancy swingers... - -
It's very nice of you to bring ice cream to an event, FRIENDLY. There is always room for extra ice cream or maybe a casserole or a bundt cake.
I dunno, once they start to bring ice cream, I become a bit of a dessert snob. I want white chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake next time.

question about kinks/fetishes - terminology question - I know this may be self explanatory.but I(male) am JUST a guy and i dont get it. the term s anal sex "giving" and anal sex "recieving" anal sex "giving" means BEING penetrated? or does it mean DOING the penetrating? anal sex "receiving " would then mean the opposite. EX: Female likes be penetrated anally so she is giving or is she receiving? She would "giving" her anal opening to her partner but then again she would be "receiving" her partners organ into her anal opening. I looked in the swingers glossary and found nothing that differentiates between the two. Call me dumb, ignorant or whatever I dont care. As long as i get an honest answer . my wife likes to be penetrated anally and i like penetrating her anally but i am just not quite sure which is the correct way to mark the boxes in the kink/fetish section of the profile. Thanks and Happy Swinging M&L

WHere the fuck did manners go? - - My wife and I are on different ends of the pole with this one sometimes. She does not always respond when she is not interested. One reason for that is the fact that she gets bombarded on other sites with mail from single males, even though her profile clearly says she is looking for a bi female. Even when she says "no thanks" some people still persist. So I think, and this is just my opinion, that some people mistake the term "bi-female" for "easy POA". That makes a lot of people a little irritated after a time, and they simply don't bother responding. If I greet someone, it is normally not because I am trolling, it is normally because they have interests that I or my wife share in common with them. If I don't think someone is a good fit for us, I don't see any problem shooting the breeze a bit. It just never progesses to a conversation about sex. It seems that some people, I repeat, some people, have associated swinging with strictly sex, and it seems like people don't want to just meet people any more. I know a lot of us live very busy lives, and we get together with fellow swingers when we can to "let our hair down", but let us not lose sight of the fact that we all come together on forums like this to make friends and talk with people that understand what we do. As friends, it would be nice if we were politely sent away, but sometimes people just don't do that. They may feel bad about it, and just not say anything, or they may be fed up, and just not bother. We shouldn't take offense either way. Some people just don't feel like dancing. So, with that, if I email you, and you tell me to scram, my pride may sting for a bit, but I will move on, and you will not have to present a dissertation on why we are not appealing to you. You shouldn't HAVE to do that. :!

Paranoia Strikes Again - -
Her security clearance level would be impossible for any of us on this site to predict. It all depends on what they decide she will know that they don't want the rest of the world to know. That will be determined by the unique particulars of the job she will be doing. Unless someone on here has done the exact same job, it's a rare person who will have the knowledge you're searching for from us. And Cheffette is absolutely correct. They will find everything possible on you, and mostly from those who know you. "Why don't you like pie? Your 5th-grade cafeteria monitor said you threw yours at another kid." Yes. They will check that out. They will scour all your social media, probably even hack your computer (maybe they're doing it right now as you're asking these very questions of us). Anything that can compromise your wife enough to make her give away secrets will be checked and they will ask you about it. That's regardless of a Secret or Top Secret status. Does everyone around you know you're swingers? What would you do to keep them from finding out? Sell secrets? That's what they'll be asking themselves. If she thinks she may not get the job by being on Swingular, You should probably delete the account, scrub your hard drive and stop telling people on the forums about your wife's impending security clearance background check. You may be doing more damage than you think, and, if they do find that you're on here, posting this in the forums, they will see that you aren't capable of keeping your own private matters under control which will make her undesirable and a risk to them. Good luck!
That's why I'm wondering if anyone knows anythng about that job. Clearance levels are assigned to different jobs, whether someone's military or a civilian. Although it isn't too unusual for somone to start with one clearance then have to get a higher one if their job or resonsibiities change. Like they start out as a worker bee on something with just a Secret but some years later become a supervisor over others doing that same job, and have to have a Top Secret. Or like when I reenlisted in the Army in '79, all I needed for my job was a Secret. Then they later sent me to a school in Monterey for a different kind of job, and I needed a Top Secret with a Sensitive Compartmented Information endorsement, so they did one of those Special Background Investigations.
