How Do you Tell - Need to Know - How to Tell... How To Tell If Someone Is A Swinger By: Sherrie Hurd Break Studios Contributing Writer Want to know how to tell if someone is a swinger? It is fairly simple to tell when taking certain details in consideration. A swinger is someone who is in an open relationship which allows each partner to date other people. Whether it is in marriage or just as boyfriend and girlfriend; swingers are very open to options outside the relationship. The first indication of someone being a swinger is their overly friendly disposition. Swingers are usually very eager to please whoever they meet even to the point of purchasing rather expensive gifts for their new friends. Contrary to what most think about them, they are not overly flirty as much as just extremely helpful and courteous. It is all in the eyes. The gaze of a swinger is different than that of others. They usually make solid, more aggressive eye contact with those who they have affection for. The majority of their flirting when first encountered is done with their eyes. The eyes are the most effective and safe ways to gage reactions. Swingers are very "touchy/feely". A sure sign of someone being a swinger is their desire to make repeated physical contact. Swingers love to hug and even touch the shoulders of arms of the object of their affections. At times their desire to make physical contact is overwhelming. The swinger is always quick when suggesting a dinner date with their new friends. What better way to get to know others than to throw a dinner party with drinking and invite 'prospective' friends. Swingers know that their lifestyle is a minority lifestyle that some have an aversion to. Couples in an open relationship always want to approach 'hooking up' as delicately as possible. Although swinging is an alernative way of life, it is becoming increasingly popular in todays more tolerable society. More and more couples are learning to accept the mechanics of an open relationship and allowing their identities to be know either through discovery or outright announcement. Where do you hang out? - Running into each other - We don't hang out there but we've heard that more than a few swingers like to frequent The Cliff Dining Pub in Draper. Not sure where it is or even if there ARE any cliffs in Draper but it sounds like a nice place for a drink. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fly-fishing Swingers - New Swingular Group - I like to Flyfish. Been doing it for many years.

Are you still interested! - Dynamics amoung swingers - We have experienced this also...I think it gets to be a friendship, which involves emotional attachments...Even though so many claim "friends first," they do not want friends, they want someone they can talk to and then jump into the sack with...but that is it...no emotions... Just his opinion...not a fact nor something he has researched...just opinion based on experiences...

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

Psychology Research - I need help with a research project. - My husband and I have been Swingers for almost 8 years now. I am an undergraduate psychology student and am currently working on a research project. This research project is to compare the relationship styles of both swingers and non-swingers. I would like to have a large amount of swingers participate in this survey. Please message me privately on here if you have any questions about this survey. Thank you in advance to everyone who takes this survey. https://saintleo.us2.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bgxl3Dl7pex4N1j Rachel

Geocaching - - oops, I didn't mean to imply that hashers are swingers. Hashers just like to have a good time with other adults, run/walk throught the city/woods, and have a couple of beverages while singing raunchy not kid-friendly songs. It's worth a look.

International Swingers - Error - We meant 'MOREFUN'!
