Utah Meetup group - - So ive been asked to post my thoughts to get people more active and going to meet and greets. This is somewhat of a copy/paste of what ive said before:
Events that have requirements or have an adventurous nature get alot of responses and lots of people going.
One thing on these meet and greets is the incredibly shy new comers. The hard thing is getting people actually meeting and separating the cliques. So one thing ive thought about is having a meet up where everyone is required to introduce themselves to at least 10 new people before the meet and greet concludes. The greeting must include your name, age, years in the LS, what your looking for(another couple, single(m/f)), a fantasy, etc just stuff like that.
For some telling a new couple you enjoy watching your spouse get fucked by someone you just met might seem awkward, but its less so when its instructed as part of a greeting.
Plus Reminding everyone your all SWINGERS, this is the point anyways lol. Your not meeting a random person, your meeting a swinger whose there with intentions the same as you!
Even like adding a fun after party thing like a Meet and Great Score that people get to post on the forums after the M&G which everyone gets to see just how involved people were and to improve it for the next one. Like every couple you meet gives you 10 points(max of 100 for 10 people), Get someones kik/phone number(50pts, max of 5), Play with someone you met from the event that night(350pts). The next day everyone can post their points an you get to see just how involved everyone is. You get 500pts you were fully involved. if your short anywhere then hey you get a chance to improve next time and it kinda adds a naughty adventure to things.

How do I go about getting a couples-only event approved and posted to the site? I am interested in inviting Utah Swingers to a Moulin Masquerade Meet-and-Greet Burlesque Show to be held on February 14th in Salt Lake City.

That's why it's so funny to see the threads from the "vanilla hunters". Kitten160 - Threats - The virtual world allows people to do a bit of vetting before they agree to meet someone in the physical world and there are some advantages to that. Having a profile is a bit like fishing for friends. Sometimes the online bait looks pretty good. The downside is that anyone with a credit or debit card can buy a membership. Predators (sexual sharks) have bank accounts, credit cards, debit cards and such. If sexual predation is his or her motive of course a sexual predator would buy a membership on a swing site. Online can be like a shark cage. Sexual predators can see us, but they can't bite us unless we leave the cage. The more aggressively they attack the cage the more dangerous they must be. We hold off on phone numbers until we feel pretty comfortable. Back before the social media explosion the only way to get know about, let alone get invited to a swinger's meet and greet was to be invited by someone already involved, and usually they had to get your attendance approved, by the organizer, before the invent. So there was some added layers of protection, that were not fool proof, but often effective. Basically, people did or didn't know much about what's going on or who might be involved on the weight of their reputations. Really a good or bad reputation will still affect who you will meet or who you will connect with even today.
There may well be some real legal ramifications involved for the administrators to allow a public trashing of someone's reputation, because the accusations might be true and they might be slander. What is and will always remain appropriate is to tell all your friends and acquaintances within the lifestyle about anyone you know for certain is dangerous.
With all of that said, having been involved in the community for awhile, and yes we used to attend the big events from time to time, we have to say that the vast, vast, vast majority of the people we have met have been good people. Yes there have been good people we didn't see eye to eye with, and yes there have been just a few awkward moments, but still we have found that most of the swingers in the community are good people. As for the sexual sharks circling around the community, even though they may know more than we would like about where we are swimming, we can and should be protective of one another and let each other know when they are getting too close.

Favorite bars in utah - - There are quite a few people that are part of a couple or singles that frequent places like Piper Down that do not have swingers profiles that do decide to have sex with others as a couple or whatever if it just feels right! It will not feel right until a connection is made. Maybe it is the Irish influence (Piper Down is maybe more Scottish than Irish but we love it) As we found it to be in Ireland, if you can relax enough to enjoy people enough to really connect without any expectations or expressions of urgency that you are "after it now" that all sorts of hijinks including sex can happen. Swingers frequent Habits and Club 48 and some frequent Club 90 in our experience. A lot of healthy happy singles and couples here in Utah are at least in the back of their minds a little bit on the sexual prowl when they go out on the town. Swinger are a bit more overt. Having an eye open and maybe even with some hopes that you will find something exciting out there in a world teaming with possibilities is exciting! Entering into a venue where there are more than a few grinding the sex axe that will be disappointed if the sex possibility does not happen can be a downer.
