Thank you Lifestyle. - A commentary about our journey -
Thanksgiving just passed us by and Xmas and the New Year are quickly approaching. I thought I would take a long moment of my time, and your time if you are reading this, to tell this massive entity, called the "Lifestyle" how it has changed me this year. We have been in the Lifestyle for a little over a year and a half. We don't even like the name lifestyle. We prefer "kinky" or "adventurous" or even just "fun as hell", but it seems the term will be around for awhile longer. The wife and I often ponder what exactly the Lifestyle is. Is it a certain set of rules and guidelines that we all live in? Is it the same for us as it is for everyone else? How often does it hurt marriage or relationships and how often does it help? Do we regret our decision to enter into it? When we first tip-toed into the waters we were intimidated, in awe and totally unprepared for what we would experience. It all seemed magical and sometimes scary. We have and had a great marriage and thought we wanted a new, kinky adventure together. We planned to go slow and we would be fine, we were certain. But we were nervous. We were so sloshed at our first Sinful party that we irritated a few people there, no doubt, and probably made asses of ourselves. We still do that sometimes, but now we do it conscientiously. But we grew and learned quickly and have morphed into what we are today (huge asses). Interestingly enough, a few years before we entered the LS, we thought swingers were all gross, dirty, sexually infected people ( I am still not ruling some of you out). We had met a couple that harassed us at every opportunity and were the "creepy" type. Now we know people may think of us the same way if they found out, which is sad, because we like to be honest and open with all of our friends. So, like many of you, it is a secret we keep. It is a trade off for doing what we do. So what have I learned? How have I changed? I have always been a non-judgmental person by most standards, but still I had strong opinions about certain things. One spouse, one partner; that is how it should be done. So what changed? First off, our communication started to blossom about all sorts of things once my wife left her religion. I won't mention names, but it begins with an L and ends in DS. We talked and talked and talked and the more we talked the more we realized that we both had kinky minds and that maybe we should "experiment". So, we made some rules, actually a LOT of rules, and entered the ring. Still thinking one spouse, one partner, but maybe, just maybe we could play in the same room as other people. How kinky is that? Hence our name...sameroomonly. Well, as some of you know, the lifestyle is a monstrous, living, breathing beast and can quickly drag you to places you never thought possible. We made some mistakes, had some great times and just fumbled our way through for a few months trying to figure out where our lines were and what we should or shouldn't do. Then we got smart. We learned to communicate again, like we used to do privately, only now we could do it with other people around. And it was refreshing. No more secret code words (well, sometimes) and no more wondering if what one of us was doing was not condoned by the other. So that is the first thing I think the LS has helped us with. Communication. We communicate like mother fuckers. Better than all of our non-lifestyle friends, for the most part. Are we always amazing and never have bumps? Of course not. Anyone who says they never have drama are either liars or delusional. So thank you lifestyle for our ability to exchange ideas and to be more honest with each other, always. The next thing we found was that we were making friends at a very fast pace. We made a kik group and had our first party with about 40 people up in Park City only 5 or so months after joining the website. It was a blast. We still host parties and invite new people all the time. We enjoy introducing new friends with old friends. Wait, did I say friends or fuck buddies? Don't we sleep with all of our friends? Isn't that the expectation? Not for us. We have made friends that we know will be around until we are all old and gray. We have lost friends because we wouldn't fuck. There are whole discussions on these forums about how some just want to meet and fuck, because this is a swinging site, not a friend site. And to each their own. We don't judge, but for us the rewards of our friendships have far outweighed the 10 or 20 seconds of amazing sex. We have friends around the world that we never would have met without the LS. So to the lifestyle, I say thank you for all of the wonderful friends we have made. Love you all, some more than others ( you know who I am talking about). :) The LS has also taught me to be less judgmental and to avoid using words like "never" or "always". Life is full of gray areas and has lost much of its black and white features. Oh sure, I still judge, have preferences and prejudices, but we all do. I just really believe in walking in another's shoes before I make any decisions about someone's life. So lifestyle, thank you for making me more understanding of other people. Last of all, I just want to say that the sexual journey has been amazing. We have shared many hot, sexy and intimate times with some of you and we have come to realize how similar we all are. We all like sex, we all have a kinky side, or else we wouldn't be here. I have done things that I never imagined would ever happen, with some of the sexiest, most beautiful people I have ever met. I have shared intimate moments with people I care deeply about and others that were just passing through. All have their high points. I have experienced more than most people would even dream about, as have most of you. We are the select who choose to follow our dreams and fantasies. I think we are fortunate. So lifestyle, thank you for all the amazing sex. In the end the lifestyle is different for everyone. It is a whole sub universe in the middle of a "normal" society. Sometimes we have to walk among the shadows to keep our secret, but totally worth it. I would never trade the LS for my wonderful marriage and think I am the luckiest man alive to be married to my beautiful, amazing wife who has shared this journey with me. Love you, Babe. As with everything in life, there will be people who read this and like it, some who don't care and some who disagree or will want to pick it to pieces. That is what makes this amazing. There are so many wonderful, different people and the lifestyle is a perfect diving board to jump into the sea of waiting bodies and personalities. So if you are new, jump in, explore and learn. If you are old school, help others to weather the bumps and keep exploring. Long live the lifestyle. That is a little about my journey, how about you? I encourage anyone to add what they think or feel the LS has done for them, even negative things. Merry xmas to everyone and hope to meet some of you new people. And to my friends, I care about each and every one of you. The Mr.
All of life is an adventure we live at the moment, and relive introspectively, over and over again. If the reexamination of our life experiences leads us toward insight and positive personal epiphanies, in so much that our day to day, in the moment life experiences, become more dear and vivid, augmenting upward and forward into the future, then can we not count ourselves lucky indeed? If we are healthy, we want to be embraced, emotionally, socially and sexually. If the "lifestyle" can help to afford us the fulfillment of these desires, will it not lead to enhancement of our happiness, and growth individually and as a couple if we are partnered? Will the experience make us more proficient and giving lovers? Can it make us better people?

Swinger & 🦄 Bait - An experiment to attract swingers and unicorns. - We think we saw you but did not make the connection until later and we laughed and laughed.

Other than the SLC spice party? - Who's not going? - We're not going I agree With D&T please Express your opinions it gives me something to read LOL Anyhow My Opinions,, Having never been to a spice party I cant Judge an actual spice party. I went to a party with the same crowd and felt like I was at a middle school dance where I just wanted to be a wallflower and pretend I wasnt there. Very Clicky, I am sure If I became a regular there and got to know some of the people I am sure that would change. But I dont want to. I will point out that I felt the same way at my first party from another group.. However in the crowd we prefer to hang around Its the same way (we're like Arent those the spice party people Ewwww !) Just kidding ! we dont really. However we dont go out of our way to go over and chat with these people either. We have met Robert and Jen, (got our VIP LOL) and M & M and well all the other couples everyone is picking on here and they all seem nice enough Are we a match as swingers and potential sex partners Nope leave it at that the reasons are obvious. I am way too much man for them to handle LOL... Happy new year to all our friends tip a few back for us We're homebound NYE this year Blew the wad on christmas.

Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - "pecksniffian" lol I would go break out the scrabble dictionary for that one but you dont want to appear too self righteous. JIM

Mormons - - We too find a suprising amount of swingers either are or were mormon, but then again maybe its not so surprising. I often refer to it as the 'Preachers daughter' syndrom: either your pure or you do what you want and flaunt it. Utah seemed to produce alot more of the latter.

Why are single guys being band from all the upcoming parties? - Did some clown out there mess it up for all single males? - First off, let me introduce ourselves, My name is Dan and My darker half is Tasha, one hot chocolate martini :) We have yet to make it out to many parties, as a couple but did manage to do so the other night with tbl and had a blast. Great people, relaxed, no "you gotta go home with me because I showed up" complexes were evident. Having been on both sides of the fence, I actually wrote an article a few years ago called "being swingle", kind of ironic? no? lol. Playing as a single male comes down to at least for me at the time to enjoying threesomes, group, and the stress free situation of "dating". It was easier to hang out with couples who were friends, but in reality, the third wheel complex eventually sets in. There is an etiquette to it. Always add to the party, never look to "loot it", or "steal the cookie" as Tasha puts it. Kinda like showing up at your friends house when moms got food cooking, you know your gonna eat, but don't dare reach for the big piece of chicken lmao. Unfortunately, like all of us at some point in their lives there was that one time at band camp...oops wait, that's another story... back to the point, sometime in our lives we run into the one alpha male super stud God's gift to women who all should bow down and adore...*(pause to hurl)* who just doesn't understand that not every woman at the party wants to, needs to, or even remotely desires to be on his menu. Tasha said it much less kind :) these guys do make an impact, cause issues, and otherwise can ruin the hours of planning and expense that the hosts have put in to see that the party is a great one! Rules should be as simple as an RSVP Invitation, with a Plus one if a couple wishes to bring a single male who they can personally vouch for. It also let's the plus one have someone they can play with and not feel the need to bunny hop the honey pots ;) But I digress, Single guys, its as simple as coming out to the less "house party" type events and let people get to know you, then you may be invited to the more intimate parties. There are REAL stamps on this site, earn em. Problem solved. As for how the rest of us that I know of feel about the whole thing? Swinging is like the intelligent gentleman said before, swinging is for swingers, swingers are couples, wanna add party favors, bring your own...and share them if you like. Personally, and realistically, the couples who play and enjoy this lifestyle together at least have some semblance of security knowing the general family of people who are playing are committed to being safe for their playmates and their spouses/selves. Stepping off 3am soapbox and curling up with a chocolate bunny, think i'm gonna nibble her ear...if I can keep the dog from ear blocking me :) lmao

Swing Camp (7/15 - 7/17) - Swingers Campout in Birch Creek Idaho - "This one time at Swing Camp..." Do you know how you would complete this sentence? No? Well, come join us for the 1st Annual Black Ring Society of Idaho Swing Camp and let's make some naughty and sexy memories that we can use to complete that sentence! We are going to host a swinger's campout at Birch Creek Campground (north of Mud Lake on ID-28, more information below) on the weekend of July 15-17. We have reserved Group Site #4 for this event. This is going to be a group event with an admission fee of $15 per person (collected in cash at the event). The admission fee will cover the cost of the campground, the large 6 foot grill that we are going to provide for those tent campers who need something to cook on, and other supplies that we will help provide. The area we have reserved does not have a LOT of privacy, but we plan to bring several tarps that we can hang up between campers or in other ways to help us provide additional privacy for the things that we would like to do during this event. There is also not going to be a lot of shade other than that which we provide, so if you have a pop-up canopy you can bring, it will surely come in very useful. The campsite is about a quarter mile from the main road and we plan to use campers in a way to block access to the campsite from onlookers. The site is plenty big enough for quite a few campers, so feel free to bring them with the knowledge that there are no hookups there, so this will be dry camping for those bringing their campers. Additionally, if you have them, feel free to bring ATVs because there places to ride up in the area. There is also no place to harvest firewood up there, so be sure to make arrangements for that. We don't really want to plan a lot of group activities because we want members to have the freedom to do what they wish, but here is what we have planned so far. On Saturday morning, Saturday night, and Sunday morning, we are planning to have a group potluck type of cookout where we will provide a grill to cook what you bring. Depending on how we can arrange things while we are there, we think it would be a great idea for the guys to cook the Saturday night meal nude (or as nude as they feel comfortable) and have the girls cook the Sunday morning meal nude (or as nude as they feel comfortable). Saturday night we have a few group games that we will play with those who are interested. Campsite Information: 1) Birch Creek Campground website: http://www.blm.gov/id/st/en/visit_and_play/places_to_see/upper_snake_field/Birch_Creek_Campground.html 2) Directions to the campsite: Birch Creek is 66 miles from Idaho Falls (I-15 Exit 116): 1. Take I-15 North to Exit 143 for ID-33 2. At the end of the off-ramp take a left on ID-33 towards Mud Lake. 3. Just after you go through the bustling metropolis of Mud Lake (don't blink of you might miss it), take a right ID-28. 4. 24.5 miles down ID-28, you will see a sign on the left hand side of the road for the Birch Creek Recreational Area - Middle Access (attached to this post). 5. Take a left on to the Middle Access road to the Birch Creek Recreational Area. 6. 0.3 miles down the road, you will come to a fork in the road (the 2nd picture). 7. Take a left at the fork and you will see the sign (on the right) for Group Site #4. 8. Someone from the group will be at the fork to check you in, so be looking for that. Things to bring (other than normal camping supplies and equipment): 1) $15 per person for admission. 2) Food for your consumption keeping in mind that we will provide a grill for cooking 3) Firewood 4) Pop-up canopy or extra blankets to be used for privacy and/or shade Even though we KNOW this campsite may not necessarily be ideal for this event, this is the site that we have chosen and reserved, so we plan to make the best of it and we hope that you will be able to join us for this event and have some outdoor fun with us.

Boston area swinger clubs or h spots - - Going to the greater Boston area for the weekend. Anyone know swinger clubs or places where swingers hangout?

Finding Connections - Do the majority of swingers wait to be approached? - The connections we have mainly made have been though partys we have found here. Other than that it's hit and miss with searching and sending messages and friend request, (please at least send a message if you are sending a friend request). That has been our limited experience. We would love to know how to make more connections, if anyone has any suggestions.

New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - My husband already posted on this topic a while back, but I’m now adding my opinion. In addition to state law hurdles and liquor licensing nightmare laws, each city has difficult sexually oriented business licensing requirements and ordinances. Yes, a nieve person will think that a swingers club is not a sexually oriented business, but city leaders and members of the public will make a big push to ensure a swingers club fits within the ordinance definitions. The licensing process is very public and anyone involved in the licensing will have a lot of exposure. Licensing applications often require background checks, names, business site visits and walkthroughs, and ongoing mandatory surveys after the business opens. Publicity and continued legal battles with the state and city scare couples away. Research Plato’s a Short-lived swingers club in NYC that was briefly open. During its existence it was continually challenged, closed, reopened, raided, and ultimately put out of business. If NYC ensures Plato's went out of business how is a swingers club in Utah going to fare? This is a link to SLC’s Sexually Orented Businesses overview page that has links to the ordinance. Most other cities have some type of ordinance like this. http://www.slcgov.com/business-licensing/sob Keep having house parties. . . .
