What a difference a Gay makes... - Our first foray into the swinging public, not what I expected. - Reading all the posts here and looking at the photos on the profiles make us wish we were in utah. You truely are a lovely lot. The couple in Spring Hill look good too...And Texas.......stc We went to a swingers club once..ONCE!!We found it rather cliquy. We didn't know what to do there, people were wandering off to rooms,we didn't know if we should follow, wait to be invited or whatever. My wife got more interest than I did(from single guys usually),and being basically shy,I just stood back.Everyone seemed to be chatting and ignoring us. We travelled quite a way to get to this place, and we won't go again that's for sure. It seems to us that house parties are the best way to go to meet new people.we tried those with some success. We once went to a lesbian bar just to see what it was like.I tell you, they were really friendly.People chatted to us,wanted to know where I was from because of the accent. We didn't go to pick anyone up(fat chance for me,they were all gay girls..LOL)But had a great time.

Local cycling and fun after. - Any couple out there that like to bike and play? - We like to ride em all. I guess we are bike swingers. Little Bean Canyon by Boggy Draw in Dolores rode great on Sunday.

Freedom of the Seas Swinger Cruise Nov 2012 - -
Is it really that much? We were looking into it but only on the website. Never made any calls...
Yeah, go here https://secureregistrationonline.com/freedom_nov_2012/decks.php?affiliateId=6 In retrospec, that isn't too bad. Desire costs $400 a day per couple so this is right in line. Mav PS. Anyone want to open a Swingers resort and make some good money? ;)

Flakes and Friend Requests - Why bother? - When we started swinging (sometime around the time George Washington was prez) it was considerably more difficult to enter the scene and meet people. Before swinging came to the internet you had to usually rent a P.O. box, figure out a way to take pictures (this was before digital cameras too) and buy a magazine with ads in it. Then you had to write a letter and mail copies of your pics along with it to an unknown person. Now with entry into the lifestyle just a mouse click away it's WAY too easy for people who either aren't really swingers or aren't really sure they want to actually do this to jump online and titillate themselves by writing to people, looking at naked pics of them (and likely jerking off) and even "agreeing" to meet. Unfortunately their resolve ends there and for whatever reason they don't follow thru. Back when there was a lot more time and energy expended people were more likely to actually show up and meet each other. But even then there were still flakes. Meh.

Most public places - - In a museum here in Houston...In a meeting room at the Banff Springs hotel on an antique table. I my girl friends office on the conference room table. In the woods camping out at the Texas Renaissance festival and of course at the voyeurs room at the local swingers club in Houston, TMZ. Good times in all those situations.

lifestyle survey - - Got into this by talking about our fantasies, roll playing a little in bed, reading stories about swinging in magazines. Background...grew up, like many here in Utah, in ultrconservative households where sex before marriage was forbidden. Met in college and married young because we were SO fucking horny. Virgins when we met. Became swingers probably because we wondered what we had missed out on not sleeping with other people. Why do you think there are so many horny swingers in little old conservative Mormon Utah? LOL

Another Swingular Members Party - Concerns Addressed Here! - [css]background-image:url('http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll175/simplychicblogs/pinkandblackmodflower-1.jpg'); color:#FFF; padding-left:220px;[/css]First, we just want to thank everyone for a very successful night at our last party. We had over 400 members there and it was the sexiest crowd we've ever seen! We read the forums and some of you had some concerns and we want to address those concerns before announcing the upcoming party. Overall, most of you were happy with the party and the venue, however, a small percentage of you didn't like the venue. We totally understand that a nightclub like The Hotel isn't the perfect setting for a swingers gathering when you are trying to meet others and be social. To set the record straight, we just want to let everyone know how difficult it is to find a venue that will not only give up it's busiest night of the week, Saturday, but also give it up to a group like ours. All of the lifestyle parties in Salt Lake combined don't have the best reputations for throwing 'by the law' parties as it is so a lot of venues won't even give us the time of day. Not that any of us have done anything wrong, it is just that the liquor commission keeps a close eye on the bars and nightclubs and if there are any minor violations, like nudity or sexual acts, it could shut down the venue or cause a huge fine. Venues don't even want to chance it with any of the local lifestyle parties. So, imagine how difficult it is to find a venue that will take us. Now, for the sake of providing all of our members a comfortable, fun place to hang out, socialize and dance, the ideal type of venue is one with lots of seating and tables, no-smoking inside, an outside patio for smokers and those who wish to get away from the music and heat, a bunch of bars for easy to get drinks, and a huge dance floor. All of this of course has to be able to hold up to 400 plus people in a private setting without sharing the club with the regular night. There are only a few venues in Salt Lake that provide that, and the best one, Habits, will NEVER allow us to take over the club as they don't need our revenue. Anything else that comes close to Habits is the same way, they don't need us and won't piss off their normal customers. So we found a new venue that hasn't opened yet, that is perfect for our event. We set them up for the last party, however, they couldn't get everything ready in time. So we had a back up plan to go to the old Butterfly Lounge @ The Depot. They cancelled on us 3 days before the last party because they didn't want to host a lifestyle party. So this brings me to how we ended up at The Hotel. It was the only venue that could hold up to 400 plus guests, provide a dance floor, provide some seating, as well as have a couple of fully stocked bars and the entire place to ourselves. The Hotel actually did us all a HUGE favor, so a special thanks goes out to them for accommodating our group at the last minute. As for the music, since they already had a prior commitment to some DJ's before we got there, we had to agree to let them play for the first couple of hours. So for those of you who did not like the venue, or the music, I apologize, however, this is the best we can do in a place like Utah. If you want to be able to go out and meet other members without having to share the club with non-lifestylers, I guess we all have to make some sacrifices and put up with what we are dealt with. Also, some of you asked why we charge as much as we do. Honestly, $20 per couple is nothing. A normal night club charges that in Utah ($10/person) and if you go to most any lifestyle party or swing club outside of Utah, you will pay at least $50 or more per couple. So you are actually getting a deal here. That money covers a lot of things that go into putting the party together such as deposits for the venue, DJ's, bands, supplies, etc... It also covers hosts and door staff, tipping out the club staff, and a lot of the people who put the work into to bring you such an event. You may not realize, but there is a lot work that goes into putting these things together, and the crap you have to go through with the venues doesn't help. ;) With that said, I hope I have at least explained ourselves in our choosing of the venues and that we can move forward with your support in putting together more parties, not only for Swingular, but others such as Utah Uncensored, etc... And now we can announce the next Swingular Members Party.... *** UPDATE *** Saturday, June 19th, 2010 @ 9 PM We have been unsuccessful in getting the previously announced new venue for our party. This new venue could not accommodate us and the lifestyle, therefore, our only choice to have a lifestyle party would again be The Hotel. This venue is still a great venue to have a lifestyle party. It is very nice (vegas style), it has multiple levels, it has 4 + bars to get drinks, and it is downtown next to hotels. We will be arranging a specific hotel for our group and try to get a group rate as well. This time, we have full control of the music, so we will make sure that the music is not too loud and we have arranged for a DJ to start with classics to rock, to 80's, to 90's and end the night with more dance music. All seating will be first come, first serve, no bottle reservations required. Tickets will be $20/Couple in advance and $30 cash at the door. Select single men that accompany another couple will be $30 in advance, $40 cash at the door. Single women are always free, at the door, no ticket needed. We will also be selling tickets at local establishments through out Salt Lake, Provo & Ogden. If you live in one of those areas and would like to help us find a place to sell tickets and manage that for us, we will give you free access to all parties you manage. Contact us for details. Tickets will go on sale online Tuesday, June 1st @ 8 AM. We will post pictures of the venue here shortly. That's pretty much it for now, see you at the next party!!

Lifestyle after Death - What would you do? - If there were "TRUE" friends you damn right they would accept you if god forbid something happened to your wife/husband. We have a friend his wife died after having gastric bypass surgery. We all went to the funeral talk about solidarty but it was there for him,her family and their children. They were very strongly in the lifestyle and he is totally accepted by all us even if we don't chose to take a single man into our bedroom he was our friend when Christine was alive and he still is. We all get together about once a month have dinner go to a club just generally enjoy the company, and when I say we I speak about 2/3 of a yahoo group. I have come to find that friends within the lifestyle stick by you no matter what more so then friends who have known you long term. I believe its something about common ground we all share and the support network with the swingers lifestyle. Just my 2 cents *smile* Becky and Jimmy

Why would a single guy choose the lifestyle? - - Most of the quality single guys in the lifestyle probably do some vanilla dating too. We have known a few really nice single men, who have profiles, and play with swingers, that also date in the vanilla world, if vanilla means dating that sometimes includes sex. Guys that consider women at least their equal, that can comfortably, politely, an intelligently talk with women in the vanilla world are the same sorts of guys that do well with swingers. If a guy can't get a date in the vanilla world, he probably won't do well with an intelligent, beautiful, sexually liberated, self aware, self actualizing, powerful and non monogamous woman who swings.

Rolling??? - Thoughts Comments - I'm not taking anything wrong, I just noticed this sort of strange attitude about things when i was looking at an interracial thread. People were trying to convince others that interracial relationships and swinging were morally wrong and a major health risk, and it kinda made me think. I think it's great that everyone has talked about this. A lot of people, swingers included use drugs and I think it needs to be brought up, good or bad. And I want to say also, that I really apppreciate everyone taking the time out to post about it. And I thank you.
