We are wanting to host small intimate parties - -
Wow, the amount of emails we have received I think maybe we will just rent the convention center. Whoever is interested send us an email. also thinking maybe we should organize some kind of regular play party & rent out a block of rooms somewhere. Anybody want to talk about that mail us. The whole idea was to get away from the meet n greet & just do what everybody really wants & have a play party.
That sounds like what we've started doing here on this side of the river. You want to come sit and BS that's fine. But we're going to get naked and do what real swingers do. Believe it or not, some people are actually shocked by that.

COME ON DOWN !!!!! - - The previously mentioned posts about jewelry, etc to identify other swingers disappeared when the site crashed, so bringing it up again is a good thing. It would be SOOOOO cool to know for sure if people are in or not! -SG

What is your favorite kind of sex toys? - - We were wondering what everyone's toy of choice is. and also, if anyone has any suggestions on toys, you can pass them along to your fellow swingers. Also, a side topic that I would like to address is when you break up with someone, do you throw away toys you used with that partner? And yet another side topic, we could talk about toy cleaning and care. Where to get the best deals, what websites or stores in your area do you use? some toys are way pricey, and some toys are dirt cheap. this also includes bondage gear, special beds (iron beds with loops at strategic places for restraints and whatnot) this should be a very fun topic!

searching - search forum topics -
If you are really committed here are the steps to use Google to search (yes people the forum is indexed on Google) and then view it the regular viewer on the site. BTWs, it's totally crap that we have to do this and that the site doesn't work. 1) use google.com to search by adding "swingular.com:" in front of your keywords (e.g. "swingular.com:kik". This tells Google to limit results to just this site. 2) Click on the result you like and you'll then be taken to a hideous, somewhat sanitized (vanilla, hehe) view of the post that is totally unreadable. Don't panic yet. 3) Grab the number from the URL (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/swingers/i/16397/KIK-Chat would be 16397) 4) Make sure you are logged into the site and add your number to the post view url of https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=[[number here]] and press enter (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=16397) 5) Come back here and post again about how stupid it is that you have to do that Like I said, you have to be committed. Mr. Ginger
Thank you for the clear, accurate steps of this fresh hell.

Naked Cards against humanity. - :P -
FYI.. I'm working on a 'swingers expansion pack' for the game... (I have a source that can print them on identical cards, so they'll slip right into the existing game).
Sounds like a great investment to us, keep us in the loop.

Important ! Please read this post. - -
You know, I read the sign on my way in here that said "Don't feed the trolls!", but I'm bored and this looks like a fun way to kill a few minutes. So, let's get started shall we?
Ahhhhhhhhhhh another guy who THINKS he knows something, but later on proves that he doesn't....
We all participate in risky behavior, huh? I suppose that depends on your definition of "risky". If you really want to be pedantic, every time you draw breath you're taking a risk. You take an even bigger risk should you choose to not draw breath.
I am sorry, thought this was a swinger site... I guess you have a study that's not from the 1990's that shows that over 50% of people engage in swinging, right? Nope, you don't, therefore we engage in risky behavior!
Typically when one uses the term "risky behavior" they're implicitly saying "behavior that is risky beyond the risk of normal behavior". Having sex with your spouse, regardless of whether they're cheating or not, is not risky behavior.
Regardless if they're cheating? Really? What, praytell, are you doing here, I guess you've solved the world's STD's crisis, right? Found a shot that cures herpes and HIV? Then how is it NOT risky if they are cheating?
Uhm... Did I miss something? What exactly are you saying "BULLSHIT!" to? It seems fairly clear that you're both stating the same sentiment.. are you calling bullshit on the fact that he bothered replying?
AHHHHHHH....Failed reading comprehension, did we? Let's have a look at what they said... What you UNDERLINED is the key.... WITHOUT complete absinence............ Without abstinence, you're engaging in risky behavior! Now, one could say, 'I use condoms, dental damns, and ALWAYS practice safe sex!' Is that enough? Let's see, ever been with a squirter? Ever had a woman get so worked up that her juices are squishing around on your balls? I guess that's not enough to catch something, right? Dr. Darcone, me thinks you need to rethink your ideas.
Are you actively going about doing cultures of these things, just looking for a place disease can be communicated from?
I don't have to, I pay taxes so I don't.
I don't know about the rest of you, but if there's a wet towel at the gym, and it's not mine, I'm not touching it. Soap Dishes? You know, I've always wondered at the point of anti-microbial soap..
Have you ever heard the saying, 'It is better to remain silent and thought of as a fool than to open your mouth to remove all doubt?' This would apply for you. Wet towels look like dry ones, yours is next to theirs, and you've NEVER accidentally grabbed someone else's? A little nick on your hand, BINGO! Anti-Microbial soap ONLY works if left in place for 30 seconds or more. Now, you place your soap on the tray, anyplace that the soap touches, in 30 seconds, would be 99.9% free of microbes, HOWEVER, anywhere it doesn't touch isn't. But you wouldn't touch the soap tray with your fingers, then touch your eyes, nose or mouth, right?
And before you knock wikipedia, it's been verified to be more accurate than any other available encyclopedia. So, while influenza and bronchitis may be transmitted sexually, they aren't STI's. If you get herpaghonasyphaclap from kissing some random corpse, then it is not sexually transmitted by definition. By the same token, an oral infection of HSV-1 is -not- an STI. It becomes an STI once it infects the sacral ganglia. Also worth noting is that neither the CDC nor WHO acknowledge HSV-1 as being an STI.
Chlamydia is the most common form of STD, it IS passed from casual and accidental contact, Herpes IS an STD, it also is passed from incidental contact. So, your entire premise if wrong.
For the actual statistics on extramarital affairs, see: This Study published by Oxford (22-25% of men, 11-15% of women). (fwiw, that article is a fantastic meta-analysis of a broad range of studies)
Actually from a Colorado college, not Oxford. Oxford may be where you found it, but your reading comprehension is, once again, coming into question. The first sentence of your report states its from Colorado. The last time I checked, Oxford is not in Colorado. Additionally, the study is from over 10 years ago, nothing has changed since then, right? The internet hasn't become more prevalent? Easy access to willing sex partners hasn't added to the instances of EMI? Nah, nothing to see here. Perhaps one should look at a more priminent site for these things? Perhaps one should look at the sample size to determine statistical significance? Perhaps one should see who was 'randomly' selected to participate?
Jim, do you actually have a point you're trying to espouse here? Are you just trying to say that sex isn't safe? I'm pretty sure we were all aware of that fact.
As a matter of fact I do, that point is: GROW THE FUCK UP! We're all taking risks, don't cry about the results of your risk taking. Would you allow someone who suddenly decided to try skydiving, had no training, packed their own chute, then jumped and was injured to complain about how they were injured? Of course not, but since it is someone who was TOTALLY aware of the risks involved and they're participating in KNOWN risky behavior its OK because you're participating in it also?
Or are you trying to say "Who needs protection? Sex is dangerous no matter what!"? If that's what you're trying to say, you have much to learn on the difference between risk and certainty.
Not at all.... I am saying, we're all aware of the risks, we don't need to read their alligator tears because they rolled the dice and came up snake eyes.
There are a plethora of things one can do to reduce the risk of contracting -any- STI. There's no certainty that you'll ever be completely safe from contracting one. There's also no certainty that you'll ever contract one.
For once, we can agree on something.
One strong way you can reduce those risks is by clearly communicating what infections you're at risk of spreading. That's the purpose of this thread, and along with most everyone else, I'd like to thank the ABC's for their post.
Showing up at a swingers' party, club, or site is pretty clearly communicating that we're at risk of ANY sexually transmitted desease.

WIFE AND I WILL BE AT CLUB HABITS SATURDAY 23 - - I went to a meet/greet a while ago at Club Habits and instantly became a member due to the environment and dress code. Our friends love it there and often after our "naturalist swim" Saturday nights we go to Habits and finish the night off. The Naturalist group are not swingers however if any swingers/members find themselves there Saturday night I would love to have you join my wife and i for a drink and say hello. We always sit in the same place, the small room near the front west corner from 9-10pm until close. This is in no way a special event or to take away from the regular group that meet at this club. Just my way of inviting other club members to look us up.:D Phinyx and DeeDee

New to SLC - - Hey all, My wife and I just moved to downtown Salt Lake City from the midwest, and we're looking to have some fun. We're pretty new to the lifestyle. Right now we're interested in attending parties or clubs were we can watch and build up our courage to join in. Are there any swingers clubs in the city? If not, are there any regular parties that draws people our age? Thanks

swingers parties - - "Not many people go there lookin for a dude. You can find one at the gas station"" Now that was funny, what do you say to the dude?.. Hey Goober, "Fill Her Up"? I know a little about Port Charlotte, my mother moved there back in the 90's. It began as a retirement community in the 60's and it's still not an incorporated city. It's just a name of a general location in Charlotte County. The most exciting thing to ever hit Port Charlotte was Hurricane Charley in 2004. My mother moved there when she was 65 but moved a year later because she said it was boring as hell with nothing but a bunch of old people. Good luck Dude in your party search, have you considered a career in the gas attendant industry. :S "Fill Her Up"?
