We live here. Our experience is that most couples do not hate single men. Most married men are not intimidated by the presence of single men. Most couples and singles whether super active or rarely active in the lifestyle don’t post anything in the forum section of this website. As is the case with so much on the internet, a few of us that do read or post in the forums, may give others the impression that we are a good general representation of the community’s mindset. Obviously we aren’t. What we read here is mostly just personal preferences. There are some thoughts expressed that we find interesting, sometimes enlightening. Sometimes people are just venting. Sometimes it’s angry venting stemming from personal experience. As for insecurities, we all have at least a few.

I completely get all the points in your post but the one thing that that jumped under my skin, is the statement that this Don Juan asshole is a "fucking" Democrat based on his fucked up views. My husband (and others in my family) serve(d) in the military too and WE ARE DEMOCRATS. Being one, I do not agree with the shit he said in his post and it serves him right for the backlashing that he received for what he said. I completely support our our troops and is very grateful for what they did and are still doing. I also know plenty of Dem. who feel the same way I do, just as I know a few Rep. who has that dickwads same point of view. But to place him in our category in such a derogative way, offends me. Its like saying "Oh shit, you smell like a wet dog when you get out the shower...You must be white" or "Damn, your nose is big...You must be black". See how offensive that is. It's a preference thing. You're in this to have fun, not do things that you don't like or disagree with. If you are upfront and honest with eachother in the beginning, you should be able to decide what works for you. I see that no one mentioned that some women are not in it for the "another man" experience. We have to remember that not all of us are in this for the same thing.
If a guy gets excited about seeing his wife with another female and not another male, there is nothing worng with that. We all know what we like and don't like. However, if he's not going to be cool with MFM, then he should be ok with there not being any FMF, if the woman decides that the fairest route would be MFMF.
We have decided that the latter works best for us. I have no particular interest in watching my wife with another guy while I pull my pud. She's not into the DP or having two guys at once, so that leave us with couples. There is no insecurity, because my wife is with another guy with a couple. It's more about equality and fairness. Couples that play together stay together. By that, when you make your decisions on what make you happy, make sure you are both happy with them.
