Hedonism 2 Young Swinger's Week - March 19-27 - Speaking strictly in the context of swingers cruise versus swingers resort... this comparison may help... -----[ Swingers Cruise Pros:]-------- - Lower Price (compared to resorts, it's USUALLY a little cheaper overall.. ) - TONS of activities to do. Non-Stop entertainment on the ship and on the excursions. (Not a lot going on at the resorts.. one or two games per day is all). - Many of the excursions are takeovers as well, so you can be naked if you want. (Many of the resorts of topless-only). - You can be completely naked on most parts of the ship, if you want. - Dedicated play-rooms. Lots of them. (Many resorts only have one smaller area dedicated for play... which makes sense... generally only 200 to 250 people at a resort at any given time). - MASSIVE crowd. 3,500+ people on a single ship. You'll never possibly get to know even 5% of the people on the ship. (In other words, you have a huge pool of people to choose from to find people you like!!). Unless you are into older people, this is a HUGE advantage, because on any expensive swingers vacation, less than 20% of the crowd is going to be under 50. (People under 50 generally can't afford vacations like this)....... 20% of 3,500 is MUCH better than 20% of 250 in terms of finding couples your own age. For us, this is the single most important factor. - Better / more types of food to choose from. - Higher-end facilities and nicer overall atmosphere. (Cruise-ships are equivalent to a 4-star or even 5-star hotel… swingers resorts are 3-star at best.. most are pretty worn down). -----[ Resort Pros:]-------- - Smaller, more intimate setting. You'll get to know everyone at the resort at the time you are there. - Much more laid back. If you like to do is lounge by the pool all day, every day, it's for you. - You can leave the resort any time you want and venture into town. - Typically you have better access to phones, internet, TV, etc. - Rooms are bigger If you look at the activity list on a typical resort, you'll find there's only one thing going on at any given time. Most people just lounge by the pool all day, every day -- and then they go to club-style events at night. The cruise is totally different... At any given time, you can choose from 3 or 4 different activities (or just lounge by the pool)... and you can still do the club-style stuff at night IF YOU WANT.. (but there's usually other alternatives to pick from). Honestly, the ONLY major downside to the cruise compared to the resorts is that they don't do the swingers takeover cruises very often. (Once or twice a year is all you've got to pick from). So if you're picky about WHEN you go... the resort is probably your only bet. If you're flexible, don't give it a second thought... the swingers cruise is where it's at. =) I agree, however, that if you're going to do the resorts, and age is a factor (it is definitely a factor for us), young swingers week is where it's at! Have you ever.... - - Have we ever? Nope. For the simple reason that we think it's a little bit unfair. Especially when we're somewhere where alcohol is being consumed and there is a chance that the person we're picking up isn't making a fully sober, informed decision. Yes, I know many will say that we're all adults and adults can make their own choices sober or not. But Ms. Evil and I consciously and soberly made the decision to explore the lifestyle, together. Why doesn't every other person deserve the chance to do that as well? Now if we were to meet someone, identify ourselves as swingers, and then that person or persons goes home and thinks about it and THEN contacts us to tell us they are interested in knowing or doing more then hell yes, game on! This lifestyle is NOT for everyone. The VAST majority of people simply cannot handle it. If someone wants to explore it alone or especially with their significant other then they deserve to do it on their own terms without undue influence by other people (and by booze or drugs). We know that's not the popular opinion by the "all is fair in love and war" crowd but it's how we feel. Just our opinion.

Phoenix police have busted a church called the Phoenix Goddess Temple, alleging that it was actually a front for prostitution. According to CNN, authorities claim churchgoers received sexual services in exchange for "donations." Twenty men and women have been arrested in regard to the church's practices of so-called "neo-tantric" healing; police are still seeking 17 more individuals. What makes this case so interesting is, if the allegations are true, the great lengths of planning undertaken to skirt the laws against prostitution. People tend to believe the First Amendment serves as a blanket protection of religious groups, shielding them from the general laws of the state when laws and beliefs are in conflict. Unfortunately for this group, that interpretation of freedom of religion does not always hold true. Glenn Hudson, a club owner in Dallas with the same perspective, also tried to get creative, calling his alleged nightclub/drug den a "spiritual organization," reports CBS News Dallas/Fort Worth. After his bust for running an unlicensed dance club, he claimed it was actually a youth outreach program, getting the young people of Dallas engaged with their spirituality through dance. Meanwhile, four undercover visits by police yielded 15 separate drug buys. But the Fenix/Darkside wasn't Hudson's only supposed religious group. He also owned a spiritual organization/swinger's club called The Playground, where people could allegedly watch pornography and have sex. The Playground garnered the city's attention for being housed in a building with a "certificate of occupancy for a church, mosque or synagogue." Dallas ordered both clubs permanently closed. Such creativity in using freedom of religion to shield a group from law enforcement can have tragic results. In a much darker example, polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs sought the protection of freedom of religion to avoid consequences for his abuses of children . His lawyers argued before his trial and he now claims in his motion for a new trial that his "marriages" to children as young as 12 were protected by the Constitution, according to Reuters. Jeffs was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Religion is addressed in the first clause of the Bill of Rights for good reason. The framers of the Constitution knew what harm religious tyranny caused, and how the beliefs of the minority could easily be trampled by the majority. But trying to hide unsavory acts under the mantle of freedom of religion is an affront to all Americans, the religious and the non-religious. The religion clause is meant to protect that which is most personal, most fundamental: the individuality of a belief system. While arguments like those of the Phoenix Goddess Temple; The Playground; and, particularly, Warren Jeffs, wave the banner of religious freedom, the claims are hollow. Worst of all, manipulation of the spirit of the religion clause is an abuse of the gift of a freedom once unknown in the world.
