420 - -

Are drugs really only a concern when they are illegal? Where do we draw the line on the other side of things? We know plenty of people who have had major addiction and personality issues with drugs they were prescribed. Are they drug free? I'm sure many people on this site have issues with alcohol, but I'm guessing they take a pass purely on syntax. Alcohol is legal, so it isn't a SCARY DRUG right? We all use different substances in our lives, some are more concerning than others. Someone who has Chlamydia is obviously not disease free, just like a cannabis user is obviously not drug free. I would expect someone who was told someone else was drug free only to find they are a pot smoker to feel lied to, because they clearly were. Maybe a more clear question to ask might be "Do you consider cannabis use a downside when searching for swinging partners?" rather than the literal "Do you consider marijuana to be a drug?".
The answer there is yes, absolutely I consider the use of pot a downside when looking for other swingers. The reason for this is because I do not want to be put into a situation where it is brought out and I get annoyed and leave. House parties are one thing because you do not always know the people coming, however searching out people we are in more control of running into this issue.
We all place certain restrictions on what we will or will not accept in our play partners. Over half the profiles on Swingular say they won't play with smokers. Others show preferences in sexual orientation, race, etc. What would be so difficult about keeping yourself from being put into a "situation" when all you have to do is voice your concerns to either your host or your guests? If a potential host says there may be pot smoking - don't go. If a potential guest can't refrain from smoking pot against your wishes - don't invite them. When searching for a potential swing partner, there will most certainly be other issues addressed in advance - why not marijuana? Surely that can't be your only deal breaker. If you ask and they admit to being pot smokers, don't swing with them. What could be easier than that? OK, so marijuana is a drug - I'll give you that. Would you be equally offended if someone were to take their asthma "DRUG" at the same party? What about oxycodone for the pain from their recent back surgery? Drugs - all. We're all adults here, and I would HOPE no one is or will be offended by anything anyone has to say in this open exchange. I'm certainly not - nor is it my intention to offend anyone else.

GOING TO VEGAS! - - Cheetas is a great strip club. The girls are very friendly but of course they really just want your money. As we walked in, Val went to the restroom and as soon as I sat down, a girl came and sat on my lap and started rubbing my nipples. She asked me if I wanted a lap dance and I told her I would after Val got there. She was content to sit in my lap and rub against me until Val got there and until the next song started and then she gave us both a great lap dance with lots of grinding and fondling. There are some swingers clubs there, also. The Green Door is near the strip and it is nice. You will want to go to the couples only area or else you will have to fight off all the single guys if you start making out. Everyone (in the couples only area) seemed very nice. Most people seemed to be there to just watch. There is a club called the Red Rooster next to the Green Door but it is very small and not much was happening there when we went. It costs $60 for a couple at the Green Door. There is another Red Rooster out near Tropicana Ave. Same name as the one near the Green Door but totally different club. It is in a big house and it is more of a party atmosphere. They have a dance floor, a pool and a large hot tub. They have several bedrooms downstairs and the rule is if you leave the door open you are inviting other people to come in and watch and possibly join you. The upstairs is for couples only and you have to be naked to go past a certain point upstairs. There was a lot more sex going on at this Red Rooster and A LOT of swapping. We didn't swap with anyone but we had a great time having sex around a bunch of other people and dancing almost naked on the dance floor. I think it costs $40 per couple at the Red Rooster. Also, you need to bring your own towels to the Red Rooster if you plan on using the hot tub or you can rent towels there for $2 each. It is also BYOB. We went to these clubs on a weekend and others have told us they are not very busy during the week days, but you might still have fun during the week days. Hope you have a great time!

Amusing Story about bad planning - Notice nobody asked the swinger\'s opinions - Let\'s see, 13 and younger wandering the hotel on New Years Eve un escorted by parents. Where were the parents and why were they not doing a better job of keeping track of the kids? There are far scarier things in hotels late at night than swingers. Recently, right here in Orlando a pedifile was arrested after attacking a teen age girl.

Do women throw themselves at married men? - - For those of you that would like a quick and concise answer the the OP's question I would offer the following: NO!! For the benefit of the one insomniac that wants to read a little more I will offer the following: Having been married to only one woman for over thirty years and with the two of us having become swingers in the last 9 years I have pondered and discussed this very subject or something nigh unto it with Mrs. Delicious. In my experience few intelligent women, with some self esteem, throw themselves at men married or otherwise. Women and men do develop fondness and feelings for people they get to know and that can grow to esteem and maybe even desire. Happily married men that are friendly and not a rake hitting on every girl around seem safe because they are approachable without hearing the tired old come on lines. A man that can socially interact with attractive women without sexually harassing them enjoys a lot of advantages. Therefore women in the work place or other social venues tend to get to know just such men. There are all sorts of intimacies, kindnesses and appreciations that men and women need and desire from each other that are not sexual or at least overtly sexual. People that are good at sincerely giving these sorts of reassurances and moments of recognition and appreciation to others tend to make friends and friendships can sometimes become flirtatious and flirtatious friendships can become important and lead to fantasy and so on and so forth and can eventually escalate into sexual intimacy if both sides are headed down the same pathway. This is particularly true if someone discovers just such a friendship and their relationship with their significant other has digressed to a point that the relationship has become mostly significantly combative. In the case that the married man is actually happily married and not willing to cheat then it would just remain a fantasy. So no, I do not believe that women throw themselves at married men but yes I believe women do fall into fantasy and even into love with married men and the same can be said for men smitten with a married lady with which they have become friends. I have had female friends over the course of many years of being married and of being alive and out there in the world develop a crush on me and a few have expressed a desire to have an affair. Usually it has been a woman in a relationship that had become verbally combative. No I never have had any such affair. The only sex outside of marriage for me occurs as a swinger with my dear wife fully aware and usually present. We are frankly very much paired up as a couple but just not quite monogamous. I was never and I still am not the aggressive guy with the hard press come on lines. Being a gentleman that opens doors can open a few doors unintentionally over the course of a lifetime. In the swing world all the rules change to some extent in that sex is usually not pursued out of a desire to physically express love and romance toward someone that is in your mind and in your heart throughout the day and follows you into your dreams. In pursuit of swing sex women will possibly or probably be more focused on the sexual desire rather than the emotional desire to express sexually toward someone special. Therefore come on lines may well be appreciated so long as the lady thinks the guy with the lines might be really good in bed. There a few women single or married that are on the sexual prowl 24/7/365 kind of like some single guys in a swing site (That was a joke

The vent! - Judgements, I'm so tired of them. - In the recent years I have changed, morphed even, into the person I am today. A swinger. Eccentric, confidant, secure, uninhibited, with a puissant sexuality. What I consider "out of the box!" Open, understanding, diverse. Only within the last year have we dared to call ourselves "swingers" we decided together to change our lifestyle, to change our rules, to change our minds about how we regard each other as individuals. What I have noticed as I have taken this quest into being a swinger, is how the people in and around my life are noticing this change, and reacting with judgements. They live by different rules than I do, they choose to, and yet they still judge. Are these people just unhappy with themselves? Are they jealous? Why are they concerned? I have failed to understand this. Why do they spew hate at me?(I call it emotional vomit) Shouldn't they be happy for me? If these people are already having averse feelings about me and/or my behavior, how will they react to find out we are swingers? I now know why some of swingers only associate with other swingers. To bad for us there are few to be found down here in the south. :( "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."-Mother Theresa Thanks for letting me vent, here's to living out of the box. ~Mrs~

Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? - We find that women love DP.

Mardi Gras 2007!!!!! - Its never too early to plan - A group of people from Las Vegas have worked with a hotel in New Orleans and set up the entire hotel for a huge swingers gathering at Mardi Gras for 2007. The event is open to anyone and we hope will help with getting New Orleans back on its feet. We know this past Mardi Gras was a success for the city but next year should be a huge blow out. Already half the rooms of the hotel are booked. So they are going quickly. The package is for just the room and transportation to the airport upon the completion of Mardi Gras. It also includes access to theme rooms throughout the hotel and access to specific rooms for balcony access to Bourbon street and a walk down the parade route. For more information please check out http://www.mardigrasswingers.com/ when you sign up remember to let them know that Alini refered you. An entire hotel dedicated to swinging couples at Mardi Gras. Its as close to heaven as it gets......well you know what we mean.

Dating other Couples - Have you done it? - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. We know plenty of people who've done it, and done it successfully (up to a point), ourselves included. We don't know of many, if any, where it has lasted for more than a few years and didn't end somewhat badly. It CAN be quite heady and has the potential to take swinging to the next level. Unfortunately, it is also exponentially more likely to crank up the drama factor to eleven (out of ten). Quite often each couple has their own "agenda" (for lack of a better term) that is often at odds with the other couple's agenda. We've seen it frequently cause weird jealousies not only between primary partners but also between non-primary partners and in a few extreme notable cases it has ended marriages. In our case, we were relatively long-term swingers at that point who, although never really super active in the scene, felt like we'd checked off most of the things on our swinging bucket list and were somewhat curious if there was more out there to explore in swingerdom...or if we were sort of done with the scene. The couple we started "dating" wasn't really the kind of couple we usually were attracted to and maybe that was part of the allure. They also had a very interesting (to say the least) dynamic in their marriage that really was at odds with that in our relationship. Ultimately they kept pushing boundaries (started throwing the "L" word around and much more), pushed for more and more separate activities and were insidious in slowly and subtly causing rifts, both large and small, as well as a LOT of drama. We actually didn't even realize how much drama and subterfuge had occurred until we were finally out of the situation entirely. We actually miss them a little, at times, and often wonder if there might have been a way to talk things out and come to a better understanding of how to continue on in a healthier way but they've actually gone on to do exactly the same thing to a number of other couples we know (it's a small world in Utah swinging and word gets around) and it seems to be their pattern. Tldr; It can work. It's quite rare when it works long term. It has the potential for disaster. While it's appealing in many ways we don't really recommend it. YMMV

Jewellery, logos, etc to identify other swingers - We would like info on websites catering to discreet items to let others "know" we are in the lifestyle - I made a post in the forum with this exact topic, over 300 people have read it but no replys...weird...Check these out they are what you are looking for. http://www.swingrings.com/index.html J & J
