geting in LOVE while swinging - - Someone mentioned Polyamory. Poly people, at least in most communities, feel that swinging and poly are not compatible.. Fact is, why not? If you are open and honest about your poly leanings and totally honest with your mate and any relationships you may have... then why not poly as well. I know that several people in here and on other sites, swingers feel threatened if you are overtly open abut your feelings. If one truely loves and trusts their partner/SO/wives; husbands/girlfriends; bopyfriends and whatever other relationships that I may have missed, they should not be threatened. If you fall in love with someone that you have sex with.... you have 2 choices..... Tell that person and their spouse and your spouce and see where it goes or simply walk away with the thoughts and get on with your life. The 3rd option is not an option.... If one is poly...thier primary relationship/s take precedence.
It is my belief that poly and swinging are not only compatable but that it love happens when one least expects it and has to be handled. Even the vanilla schmuck sees or talks to others and sometimes form closer relationships but don't wish that to affect their perfect marriage. How is that handled? Sometimes it simply cools down or sometimes it ends in a short or long term relationship with or without sex. PICTURE SURFERS HANG A 180 LOL - - I think what they mean by "friends and MAYBE more" is that they are looking for friends first and if everyone establishes a friendship and clicks sexually more will follow. I guess everyone is different when it comes to the lifestyle and some take it more slowly than others. Some require a strong friendship before playing, some don't. Some feel that they may establish a friendship but one of the people just doesn't click sexually with one or more of the others and that feeling needs to be respected by all.
When we first started we were in the mindset that we had to find "best friends" with benefits and quickly discovered that we don't necessairly need to be best of friends, we do need to like the other people though and feel that attitude and personality are very important to us. We've been fortunate enough to maintain a friendship with everyone we've played with and some that we haven't because one of the group just couldn't make it to that level but we still maintain contact with each other.
I guess what I hate the most is when you run across someone that thinks that just because you are in the lifestyle and on a swingers site you automatically have to lay down and spread for anyone that asks. Doesn't happen often but seems like we get more than our share of it.

On Premise Swingers Club - SLC - I think an on premis club needs to be here in Salt Lake. There are so many of us. I went to the previous one 2-3 times a month until something happened that we don't need to go into here. Anyway friends request was sent.
A Place In The Lifestyle - - Well, It sounds more like a Utah club. We do not have swinger clubs here. Unless the club wishes to work at keeping people that are not in the lifestyle out, you may have to find another way to determine the swinging couples. Maybe the swinger wrist bands are a good idea at that club to identify others in the lifestyle. It would take some work on your part talking with those you may already know are in the lifestyle. You may not wish to wear them other places but it would solve a lot of problems for you in the club.
Now the other question of who belongs is very difficult to answer. A lot of swingers do not swing very often or with very many others. So I see little difference between meeting one lifestyle or the other. As long as you are comfortable with your lifestyle, and asking another person if they are in the lifestyle, I do not see how you can lose. In Utah the chances are always slim that anyone will say yes straight away if they do not already know you. I would say that since it is a swinger club you have a greater chance than we do here at finding people in the lifestyle and you might even find some converts.
