BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - Not really sure how to say this but to be straight out in the open. I found out at about 16 that my folks were swingers (they are nudist also) so the house was a very open one. We had nothing to hide, I even played with some of their friends and they took me to my first house party.

Black Ring, Right Hand - How to tell if someone's a swinger -
We bought a pair because we think its a fun idea. And yes, to help meet others. Why not? We enjoy meeting new people. All the better if it makes us more approachable to some. Neither of us care for the idea of needing to remember to take it on and off so we wear them all the time. Suffice it to say we have been doing it for a while now without incident. They have been mentioned once, by another swinger couple while we were out dancing. And only after we approached them! I don't personally see the sense in worrying about what others will say or think about such a benign thing. If someone mentions it in public and they aren't tactful it's easy enough to play off. "It's a sourvenir", "it's a gift", "I like it"; there are any number of reasonable explanations. No harm no foul. They can claim whatever meaning they want. It doesn't mean I nor anyone else must agree with it. Conversely, if they any couth then it will show in their approach and we'll likely end up talking about it if it's appropriate for the time.
A lot of people secretly wish they could self liberate sexually and socially enough to do some of the things "swingers" do. If they know enough about the Utah swing scene to know why we are wearing a black ring on our right hands then there is a pretty good chance they envy our liberation maybe just a little. I recently had a very LDS middle aged friend who knows we swing tell me when he grows up he wants to be me. We don't flaunt it before our vanilla friends and we are not trying to be spokes persons for swinging but we are really not ashamed of it. Oh and the rings I bought at Dancing Crane actually fit Mrs. Delicious right hand ring finger so I guess they are not just pinkie rings.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
It's too bad. They had an opportunity to expose more people to a healthy, vibrant, valid lifestyle choice. Instead it appears they will fear monger and use the states natural prejudices to present a skewed and irrational viewpoint from a person who could very well only be attributing their marriages demise to swinging purely to deflect from any other problem that could have been present. Not to mention that she is essentially an anonymous source and unless they can provide any validation for her story it may as well be entirely fiction. Of course it is on local news in Utah so most likely the only people who will be watching it won't know how to work a computer.
Actually, most of those people watch Fox News so they can get to bed an hour early. I know my parents do. They do, however, know how to work (sorta) a computer...even if they have to call me up every so often and ask me what their password is. [em]Emo_49[/em]

Simpsons: Is Marge going to be a Swinger? - -

In the shows season finally on Sunday, May 19th Marge joins a swingers on-line dating site. Seth MacFarlane, the shows creator, lends his voice to a married man that Marge meets on the site. This should be interesting. Mr. Sexperimentors
I don't think Seth MacFarlane makes that show, and i'm pretty sure the creaters mom who he named marge after just died
You are correct. Marge Groening died recently in her 90s. The show's creator is Matt Groening of Portland, Oregon, who named the character after his mother. Mrs. Enlightened, in her college days, worked at an all night Portland diner and one of her regulars in the wee hours of the morning was a struggling young cartoonist who would doodle images on the napkins and get her thoughts. Yep, Matt Groening. She remembers panning his idea of a woman with big blue hair. Good thing he did not listen to her. Groening no longer writes the episodes. There are about 16 writers, and occasionally they have a guest writer (quite often it is Joel Coen of Fargo and Big Lebowski fame). Always possible Seth MacFarlane is a guest writer.
