How has swinging made your marriage better? - - Curious... how many of the previous posters (or anyone on here for that matter) are on their FIRST marriage and have been "successful" swingers for 4-5 years+ ? Tally those numbers and see if it makes marriages better. Would also be curious about second, third, fourth marriages (but those are harder because a lot have met in the lifestyle and/or came from a marriage that ended in infidelity). Still, have wondered. P.S. EVILDOERS Mrs cntrl has been told that a couple of times as well.

We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - BINGO.....and the winner is: UTFUN well put!! happy NYE...get laid. Mr. diver

Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - We don't have any issues with age at this point. Personality and attitude trump years. We have, however, had people uncomfortable with our ages (mid-20's).

I’m defense of single males - Funny old geezers -

We are in our sixth year on this site. We are also currently on three more sites, even after dropping two more. When we joined Swingular, we were taken aback from the negativity toward single guys. We did not see this this level of animosity on any other of the sites we are or were on. Aside from the folks from Idaho and Wyoming (and very, very few nationwide), this site is predominately Utah based. I am not negatively judging Utah since a survey or research was never done, but we had to wonder if this hatred is a Utah thing. Or was it a few couples who made it seem normal to hate and everyone just jumped on the bandwagon? Human history has taught us that ostracizing is easier than accepting. Who knows? We certainly don't understand it. Many couples correctly point out that single guys are not "swingers" since they don't swap. But, we believe that single guys are part of the "lifestyle" for many couples. Why is fmf ok, but mfm is not ok? As a side note: The vast majority of our play is with couples(our preference). But we occasionally like mfm for the different dynamics it offers. We have been very lucky with mfm and haven't had a bad experience yet, which I cannot say is always true with every couple we've met.
We live here. Our experience is that most couples do not hate single men. Most married men are not intimidated by the presence of single men. Most couples and singles whether super active or rarely active in the lifestyle don’t post anything in the forum section of this website. As is the case with so much on the internet, a few of us that do read or post in the forums, may give others the impression that we are a good general representation of the community’s mindset. Obviously we aren’t. What we read here is mostly just personal preferences. There are some thoughts expressed that we find interesting, sometimes enlightening. Sometimes people are just venting. Sometimes it’s angry venting stemming from personal experience. As for insecurities, we all have at least a few.
Perhaps I am just mistaking the complaints I see in forums on the home page as a reflection of the general attitude here

"Swinger Robots"?? - WtF?, Now, on top of everything else, we have to worry about Robot Swingers? - Ah, give the guy a break. He might just have thought it was funny like some lady's boob flopping out of her dress in an incredibly public situation, and isn't NECESSARILY transphobic. I'd suggest that there ought to be a term for folks who think someone inadvertantly embarrassing themselves is funny, except that I fear it'd probably end up being something like "normal". As Valentine Michael Smith said, "Perhaps I don’t grok all its fullness yet. But find me something that really makes you laugh, sweetheart … a joke, or anything else – but something that gave you a real belly laugh, not a smile. Then we’ll see if there isn’t a wrongness in it somewhere and whether you would laugh if the wrongness wasn’t there.” “I had thought – I had been told – that a ‘funny’ thing is a thing of a goodness. It isn’t. Not ever is it funny to the person it happens to." ~Terry '.

Now that you're one of them there fancy swingers... - - Has swinging become too popular and become passe? So now that I most recently have had several vials of blood drawn, urinated in a cup, been swabbed, poked examined and filled out pages of questionnaires as have several special friends and intended special friends and we are in a quarantine period to assure we are all still kissing fresh will we re-discover the joys of monogamy and just say to hell with it once we are all fair game? Will monogamy become retro cool and avant-garde as the unwashed masses turn to swinging along the Wasatch Front? Will we follow the trend? Nah probably not, I never got gauges in my ears or started riding a fix geared bike. Oh, and fuck Crispy Cremes.....Banbury Cross all the way Evil.

At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - Most of our long-term friends know we've always had an "open relationship" (and the guys are all jealous LOL), and a couple of my wife's close girlfriends know about the nature of the "clubs" we go to on weekends sometimes. (We've even managed to play with one or two of those friends ;) ) As for family, we'd never tell either side. Hers would have a real hard time I think, my siblings are younger than me but not kids anymore and probably wouldn't care. I'd say both sides would be comfortable with a "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy. Just a comment on Dr. Ziggy's post - we're the "live & let live type," and we're not at all ashamed of what we do. We wouldn't care if the whole world knew if it didn't affect our lives, but the reality would be very different, I'm sure. A new swing friend once asked how I'd feel if our kids became swingers one day. My response was that, if they were making a responsible decision when they did so, that I'd hope they find as much enjoyment in it as we have. He said that was the first time anyone had ever given him that answer, and it was the one he was looking for.

Ideas on Swingers Car Rally..... - Ideas on Swingers Car Rally..... - I think that is a great idea! I haven't heard of an event with 2 and 4 wheelers together, but hey why not?! Is your event going to be a rally ride or a show? I would prefer to get some road time in together and then hang out. What if we could get some parking space at Tastbuds to have us all park at? C & D

Polyamory - Please share your thoughts.... - My wife and I have been poly for almost 4 years now. We've learned that poly is a REALLY broad topic, and there are as many ways to "do" poly as there are grains of sand on the beach. We've met some awesome people. We've met some folks whose relationships resemble train wrecks. It's not right for everyone, but it's a viable option for certain people. My perception is that there isn't always a big difference between poly and swinging. I've met swingers that talk bad about poly but REQUIRE some sort of commonality and friendship before sex, and I've found poly people that badmouth swingers but use "poly" as an excuse to fuck anyone they want to. That's my perception. Can I have sex with someone I don't know but feel attracted to? Yes! Do I prefer intimacy with someone I feel a deeper emotional connection to? Sure! But that's just me and my wants/needs/desires. We're all different.

Log in Issue - I am not a robot - Yeah, if I didn't think it was ALL about Swingular trying to block any apps that they don't own I wouldn't worry about it that much (or whine apparently). But it's laughable that anyone would seriously think they're doing it to protect security on the site...at least as far as preventing hordes of unscrupulous spammers and/or Russian identity thieves from taking advantage of swingers. It wasn't all that long ago that you could Google your screen name and get directly into the site. But as long as I'm whining I'd LOVE it if Swingular would, like most other MODERN internet sites, block people from sending identical spammed e-mails to multiple members. It's not that hard to do. I know that might harsh the buzz of a few single dudes who are just too darned busy to personalize an e-mail to a specific couple and find the shotgun approach a far simpler way to get their brand out there (or at least shoot for a sexual ROI of 1% or so). At very least it would be cool if Swingular would (like a paid fitness site I'm on) have a little counter at the bottom of the page that tells me how many other members received an identical e-mail from the same person writing me. Of course other sites just save me the trouble and automatically send spammed e-mails directly to a separate spam folder. [em]Emo_96[/em]
