At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - Most of our long-term friends know we've always had an "open relationship" (and the guys are all jealous LOL), and a couple of my wife's close girlfriends know about the nature of the "clubs" we go to on weekends sometimes. (We've even managed to play with one or two of those friends ;) )
As for family, we'd never tell either side. Hers would have a real hard time I think, my siblings are younger than me but not kids anymore and probably wouldn't care. I'd say both sides would be comfortable with a "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy.
Just a comment on Dr. Ziggy's post - we're the "live & let live type," and we're not at all ashamed of what we do. We wouldn't care if the whole world knew if it didn't affect our lives, but the reality would be very different, I'm sure.
A new swing friend once asked how I'd feel if our kids became swingers one day. My response was that, if they were making a responsible decision when they did so, that I'd hope they find as much enjoyment in it as we have. and just a couple pages back i read something about sending the "wets" back to where they came from? i guess when you are racist you dont notice when other people are being racist.
there is a guy who just started at my work. he is from Venezuela. doesnt speak a lot of english. i know enough spanish to direct him but it frustrates me. ive worked with people from vera cruz, mexico who refuse to learn english or speak it. ive worked with bosnians who dont speak very much english...tibetans..muslims arabs...israelis and palestinians...and a turkish guy who GREW UP HERE and still doesnt speak much english. i do agree that they should put some effort into learning the language of the country they are living in...just like if i went to their country i would be required to learn their language...they aint gonna change for me...although i do make an effort to learn a couple phrases in their language for fun. thats pretty much all that bugs me about immigrants in this country...the language barrier. gives you a reason to get to know them...maybe if you heard their stories you would understand why they are here. one of the bosnians i worked with was royalty in her country...maids..their equivalent of millions of dollars...but in the war, their houses were demolished or used for army personnel. so they came to our country and now work as maids and cooks in hospitals. in their country they dont work...the guys work, and the women cook and clean..so coming here is hell for them..but they are here..they have no choice. you want to send them back to their country? their bullet ridden houses and swimming pools full of corpses..? i couldnt live with myself sending someone back to that hell.
Yahoo name and status - - Most the swingers we have meet use yahoo to talk and such quite regularly. COnsidering the chat room here is empty and the instant messenger isnt that great. ANy way in the profiles we could have a spot for thier yahoo anmd if the are on your frined list and maybe even a small little status icon for when they are online.

Interracial Sex - Would you? - Hi All~ Being new to this forum, but a veteran of other forums, I'd just like to add my humble opinion on the subject of bias & prejudice. Why it surprises anyone that it still exists in this lifestyle mystifies me. After all, we are a microcosm of society, and just because someone enters this lifestyle, it doesn't mean they leave a lifetime of learned prejudice at the door. I don't agree with it, and I'll never accept it, but I'm not surprised by it. If those with a bias do last in this lifestyle, they will eventually learn to accept all people for who they are. The alternative is that they don't last, because the majority of us will not accept them! If we as swingers can help just one other couple or person to become enlightened, then we've done far more than society as a whole. We are by far a marvelous bunch of people. J
