This is an excellent point we hadn't thought about. Luckily, we've only shared with a couple VERY close friends. Plus, we keep our vanilla friends and swinger friends quite separate to avoid this situation.

Any Sci-Fi lovers here? - What\'s to describe? Either you like a good sci fi TV series or movie or you don\'t. - I'm a voracious reader. Love most Sci Fi movies and TV(not to be confused with TV's). Love the Dr No series but several of the Dr's we not as good as others. Hated the Darlic series but liked most of the Master ones. I wonder why Heinlein's books were never made into movies most are quite good. C.S. Lewis, Athur C Clark, Asimov all super writers. Martian Chronicles, SG, SG Atlantis... Too many to mention... The day the Earth Stood Still with Michael Rennie...Rocketman Seriels in the movies from the 40's and 50's. Who remembers Rocky's Rocket Rangers from 50's TV brought to you by Ovaltine and if you sent so many jar seals into the show you could get the decoder ring for the secret messages.....
Sci Fi has been predictive of future events for so long...Lazers, Rocket ships, Rocket packs, And a statement in Forbidden Planet; " the taped thrillers of the 20th century" Filmed in Eastman Kodac color and in 1956 or maybe 65 but long before video tape was available...The special effects were awsome ...no computer generated things.... And the landing scene... note the shadow and the bubbliing earth and dust.....all hand done animation. And Robbie the robot... a mechanical wonder for it's day...
Swingers would and probably love Heinlein... Stranger in a Strange Land and Time Enough for Love....

We certainly don't understand it.
Many couples correctly point out that single guys are not [b]"swingers"[/b] since they don't swap. But, we believe that single guys are part of the [b]"lifestyle"[/b] for many couples. Why is fmf ok, but mfm is not ok?
As a side note: The vast majority of our play is with couples(our preference). But we occasionally like mfm for the different dynamics it offers. We have been very lucky with mfm and haven't had a bad experience yet, which I cannot say is always true with every couple we've met.[/quote]
We live here. Our experience is that most couples do not hate single men. Most married men are not intimidated by the presence of single men. Most couples and singles whether super active or rarely active in the lifestyle don’t post anything in the forum section of this website. As is the case with so much on the internet, a few of us that do read or post in the forums, may give others the impression that we are a good general representation of the community’s mindset. Obviously we aren’t. What we read here is mostly just personal preferences. There are some thoughts expressed that we find interesting, sometimes enlightening. Sometimes people are just venting. Sometimes it’s angry venting stemming from personal experience. As for insecurities, we all have at least a few.
Preconceived Ideas - - we had the same kind of realization.... once we figured out that 'swingers' were mostly just regular people with a spicy side hobby, we felt much more comfortable.
We still are hoping to stumble into the 'non-stop orgies'

Our only comment on this subject is... perspective, its all about your personal perspective. If you read the bible and take it word for word then no, you can't be a Christian and be in the lifestyle. For us (and we both have a very deep religious up bringing) we believe that if Christ taught us one thing, He taught us that our relationship with God, whatever, whoever that may be, is a very personal one.
