Swingular Mobile Update - Details about our latest release for phones and tablets and other mobile devices. - This morning, we finally launched the long awaited mobile version of Swingular. In this email, we wanted to give you details about the process and why it has taken us so long to get here. We also want to talk about the features and what you can expect going forward. [b][color=#a80003"]HISTORY[/color][/b] As most of you know, Swingular has been around since 2001. It was started in Florida by me and a partner as Playful Swingers and I was the sole architect and coder. Swingular was custom built from the ground up. After a year or so of tremendous success, we didn't see eye to eye and decided to legally split off into two separate entities, Playful Swingers & Swingular. After many years, Playful Swingers went out of business but Swingular continued to grow. Around 2004 and 2007, I rewrote Swingular and gave it new looks. Over the years, we have changed a few things here and there, but most of the underlying code has remained the same. Well, a lot has changed in the world since 2007 and mobile devices have become a bigger source for accessing websites. In 2007, Swingular was great for it's time and for desktop users. In 2016, not so much. In 2012, we decided we needed to make Swingular mobile. After looking at our competition, we noticed they made their existing sites work with mobile but the experience was horrible. Sometimes you were taken to a non-mobile version so you never knew what you were going to get. That wouldn't be good enough for us so we decided that we were going to build our mobile site from the ground up. As we started working on it, technology was constantly changing. Being perfectionists, we kept restarting the project to adopt these new technologies to the point that we could never finish anything. Then we handed Swingular off to another owner and you know what happened there. After getting Swingular back in our hands late last year, we made it our goal to finally get the mobile version built from the ground up and here we are. [b][color=#a80003"]CHALLENGES[/color][/b] We started building this version of the mobile site back in October of last year. The challenges we faced were that we had to convert our technology stack to work with both the old version of the site as well as the new one. This is what took most of our time and what you probably have noticed the last 6 or so months. Once our technology stack was overhauled, we began designing the user interface. Again, this was a challenge because we wanted to support all devices out there, from iPhones, to Androids to Windows Mobile as well as all the tablets. So we had to make sure that everything looked good not only by device, but by screen size. Being that Swingular is custom built, we didn't want to use popular UI frameworks like Bootstrap so that we didn't look like everything else out there. So we had to design our UI to be unique to us. The most important and final challenge was making sure that the mobile site was safe and secure. We didn't want to release a half baked app just to get it out quickly only to find that we had a huge security hole. Your safety and security is our number one priority. After getting through the bulk of issues, we felt it was finally time to release our first beta version of the site with features that would showcase this new look. [b][color=#a80003"]FEATURES[/color][/b] To get a mobile site out in a timely fashion, we decided to use an agile development process which basically means we would create a basic working website, release it, then continually add features as we went along. We sent out a survey to our members to ask what they felt was most important in a mobile site and we took that to decide what was necessary to release our first version. Since we already have a website that is somewhat usable for everybody, we decided based on your feedback that sending and receiving messages, as well as viewing profiles and photos would be the first features to release. Then every two weeks, we would release 1 or more new features. [b][color=#a80003"]WHAT'S NEXT[/color][/b] Now that we finally have this up and running, we will be working on bug fixes as well as introducing features. We will send out bi-weekly updates so you know what's available. We ask that you understand that this is only a beta version of the site and you will most likely experience bugs or issues. However, we have added a Bug Report/Feedback tab so you can report them and we can get them fixed quickly. [b][color=#a80003"]FEEDBACK[/color][/b] The great thing about building this system on an agile development process is that if we need to add, change or remove something, we easily can. New SLC Club: Button Up and LS Night - New Club and LS Night - We are not the actual hosts of this party and we are not trying to take any credit for this event. We did create a local “party” for this event this Saturday night on another LS site...not sure how to do that on Swingular. Swingular should make it easier for us to do this...we would rather use Swingular to promote this type of event. We did this because we would really like to see if we could make this a good event with a sexy turnout. Last week was a let down for us. We’ll try this a few more times and see if we can’t get a better turnout. Discretion a Must?!? - Let us know - i can understand why some people try to keep their pics out of site out of fear of losing their job or somehting like that . i wish the world was different so people could just be who they are and not worry about it . but i understand some feel they have to becareful . we go to alot of parties and people are always taking pics with us , so i tell anyone that wants to hang out with us to let us know up front if they dont want their pics to be taken so i can watch out for that and try to make sure it doesnt happen . but what gets me is when people wont put any kinda of pic up what so ever .there is ways to block your face or stuff like that . but some dont even put up any pics . i dont understand that . when people write us and they dont have a pic i tell them to please send me one i dont even care if the face is covered or whatever i just need some kinda of pic to see who tehy are . iam not trying to be mean or piss anyone off but most of the people that dont want to show their pics are either very over weight or very ugly .not all but alot . i wish people would realize that there is always someone that is right for u .so just be who u are and find those that u will click with . there is alot of people that try to keep them being swingers a big secert . from their family and firends and people at work . so there is alot of people that wont show their pics unless u ask and they know they dont know u already . and their is alot of fake people and people who are just wantitng to look at everybody else and not be known . so most of the time i dont bother with all of them . i think u should have to have at least one pic of each person that is on the profile . face covered or whatever . but at least give people something to go by . naughty dreams freaky kitty

Bikers and Babes Party Plans are final . - Sat Oct 14th Club Tastebuds in Orlando. - Hey guys great question. We will do cars in a pack and Bikes in a Pack all with the same route pre planned the week of . We would like to do it with some cool stops. Like an Adult Toy store and Maybe a Wing House or Hooters and or poss a nice Park. This way if some get separated from others it will not be long be for all are hooked up again. Can Take time to shoot the shit a bit and enjoy the social fun of it. Then head Back to Tastebuds hotel The Heritage Inn Hang by the pool clean up Cars and Bikes for the Hot Car and Bike Contest. As long as we have the #s for the ride and the Contest we will do them.Need to get some partisapation for this type of event. We deff will be doing the indoor Poker run and the Wet T Shirt Contest But we sure could use some of you guys mailing and posting up. As of Now 3 Cars are in and 8 Bikes. We plan to ride reguardless and hang by the pool if its just a small quaint group thats cool. The Fun will realy get Kicked up that night. We have worked hard on this event and enjoy trying to put on and host a party for Tastebuds from time to time. We hope those of you that have come in the past when we were involved with a party will enjoy this one and bring a few new faces with you. We would like to take a second to thank Club Tastebuds for allowing us to do the paries we have and are doing like this one. Swingers In Uniform - Pay your memorial day respects here. - I joined the United States Air Force by my own will. I joined after I thought long and hard about spending years of my life dedicated to something other than myself. I decided that I do love the freedoms that have and I am willing to make sure they stay that way. Noone decided this for me, I am not mindless, I am educated,and I am a member of mensa. Not every war has to be fought on American soil to have a pure purpose. DJQ, you have the ability to not only work and pay your bills, feed yourself, acquire material posessions(including the computer you make your posts on), and you have the right to your opinion. All of these things are possible because of a country, however flawed, that stands up for what it feels is right. I'm willing to bet that ANY number foreign nationals would love to trade places with you right now. When you put your own self needs away for a short moment and realize, like so many post before mine have said, there are families without fathers and mothers because they fought for something bigger than themselves, we, you and I, are not that important in the grand scheme of things. Young men and women, some as young as 18 years of age, are sleeping in tents, eating food from plastic bags, and waiting for the next mortar round to hit nearby, because they were asked too. Many of whom probably do not agree with their situation, but realize that they are their, giving of themselves for a greater good. These people deserve at the very least a soft thank you once a year. DJQ, you are intitled to your opinion, no one will force you to believe something else like the days of inquisition. But please, for all those who have given of themselves, past and current, have just a shred of decency and gratitude that you are able to live the life you have. I'm not telling you to believe the same way I do, opposing sides is part of what makes this country great, just dont take for granted the things that were given to you without expectation of repayment. I am PROUD to have served in the United States Air Force. I served dilligantly during desert storm in support of all the marines and soldiers who were on the ground, my brothers. Why are single guys being band from all the upcoming parties? - Did some clown out there mess it up for all single males? - First off, let me introduce ourselves, My name is Dan and My darker half is Tasha, one hot chocolate martini :) We have yet to make it out to many parties, as a couple but did manage to do so the other night with tbl and had a blast. Great people, relaxed, no "you gotta go home with me because I showed up" complexes were evident. Having been on both sides of the fence, I actually wrote an article a few years ago called "being swingle", kind of ironic? no? lol. Playing as a single male comes down to at least for me at the time to enjoying threesomes, group, and the stress free situation of "dating". It was easier to hang out with couples who were friends, but in reality, the third wheel complex eventually sets in. There is an etiquette to it. Always add to the party, never look to "loot it", or "steal the cookie" as Tasha puts it. Kinda like showing up at your friends house when moms got food cooking, you know your gonna eat, but don't dare reach for the big piece of chicken lmao. Unfortunately, like all of us at some point in their lives there was that one time at band camp...oops wait, that's another story... back to the point, sometime in our lives we run into the one alpha male super stud God's gift to women who all should bow down and adore...*(pause to hurl)* who just doesn't understand that not every woman at the party wants to, needs to, or even remotely desires to be on his menu. Tasha said it much less kind :) these guys do make an impact, cause issues, and otherwise can ruin the hours of planning and expense that the hosts have put in to see that the party is a great one! Rules should be as simple as an RSVP Invitation, with a Plus one if a couple wishes to bring a single male who they can personally vouch for. It also let's the plus one have someone they can play with and not feel the need to bunny hop the honey pots ;) But I digress, Single guys, its as simple as coming out to the less "house party" type events and let people get to know you, then you may be invited to the more intimate parties. There are REAL stamps on this site, earn em. Problem solved. As for how the rest of us that I know of feel about the whole thing? Swinging is like the intelligent gentleman said before, swinging is for swingers, swingers are couples, wanna add party favors, bring your own...and share them if you like. Personally, and realistically, the couples who play and enjoy this lifestyle together at least have some semblance of security knowing the general family of people who are playing are committed to being safe for their playmates and their spouses/selves.
