Polyamory - Please share your thoughts.... - My wife and I have been poly for almost 4 years now. We've learned that poly is a REALLY broad topic, and there are as many ways to "do" poly as there are grains of sand on the beach. We've met some awesome people. We've met some folks whose relationships resemble train wrecks.
It's not right for everyone, but it's a viable option for certain people. My perception is that there isn't always a big difference between poly and swinging. I've met swingers that talk bad about poly but REQUIRE some sort of commonality and friendship before sex, and I've found poly people that badmouth swingers but use "poly" as an excuse to fuck anyone they want to.
That's my perception.
Can I have sex with someone I don't know but feel attracted to? Yes!
Do I prefer intimacy with someone I feel a deeper emotional connection to? Sure!
But that's just me and my wants/needs/desires. We're all different.
Church Swingers, are they out there? - - I myself, believe that things such as religion (or spiritualality if you prefer) and sexuallity are a personal thing. I think the comments made by SHRED sum it up rather nicely. Having studied religion for 12 years in the catholic school system it seems that most of the organized religions I have any knowledge of, have lost the real point made in the New Testament anyway. It seems often that what is being preached is not what is being practiced or in some cases things have been taken out of context to stress some point of faith or morallity in a distorted way. I personally can not believe that God would want us to live our lives this way. I have to agree with those who say "live and let live" or "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". That seems to be the message I got out of all that religious instruction, but not necessarily what I saw being practiced.
To those who feel they can balance religious practice with this lifestyle, I would say do so if it works for you. It is your personal choice. and thats the way it should be.

We have a similar opinion.
Having lived all over the country, while participating in the lifestyle, we have observed that Utah has an entirely different, and quite immature vibe when it comes to swinging. We believe being on the site is what gets them off. They're being SUPER naughty, crafting fantasies together, but doing nothing more than taking up space.
The forums are a great example of that. All these threads about posting pics are lame AF. "Whose got the best ass!", "Show us your big dick", "TITTY TUESDAY!!". WTF ever... that's Jr. High stuff. You really don't see it on other sites the way you do on this one. In other parts of the country, they don't want you to post a pic of you pussy. They want you to get in the car and bring it over to the house to get fucked. After all, that IS the point. From the outside looking in, having experienced both sides, Utah is comical AF!
