Tired of Politics and Religion! - - Strange - was this forum not here when those that object to it joined? Having been on this site for a long time (first as MelbCpl and now as Swingtide) as far as I can remember it has always had one area that was open to discussion of things like religion and politics. Sometimes we read them and sometimes we ignore them - choice is good. At least to us Swingular is not just a "sex site" but a swinging lifestyle site and for some of us that is more than how many notches you put on your bed during the last party. If anyone wants the other topics to show up more in opening page than make more input into the other areas of the forum. Start new topics in other areas and work to keep them going.
Everyone has their own view of what swinging is all about and that is good - I'd hate to think we had to pass some checklist of qualifications to consider ourselves swingers. The site has room for all types of discussion so enjoy the areas you like and avoid the ones you don't like - not too far off from how most of us deal with what couple we want to be with! Personal choice and allowing other the same freedom of choice seems to fit the idea of the lifestyle :-)
Monogamy in marriage - An interesting article on the subject - I think the number one reason that a marriage goes off track is the lack of communication. It could show up in fights over money, one or the other cheating because their needs are not taken care of in the marriage, or just about any of the rocks that so many couples run into along the path of married life. One reason I think that swingers tend to be happier and more secure is because without good, open communication swinging can be a minefield. Most that stay in the lifestyle for any amount of time learn to communicate better with each other than many others that do not have the experience of sharing. This summer we'll have been married 35 years so I guess it works :-)

Here's something Ive been curious about - - I guess with the mind set of some here, IE singles aren't swingers, one could also make the statement that there's no such thing as swingers. Couples aren't swingers, they're just two people who are married and want some strange and talk each other into it. See how this works? You can only bring yourself to the table whether alone or with your partner and your partner does likewise. You just happen to do it at the same time. When I thought up the idea of having a Labor Day party, some thought I was mad, some thought I was crazy...THE FOOLS!!!! (cue maniacal laughter)
This looks like it will be one of the BIGGEST turnouts ever, and it's all happening because of you......kudos.
The festivities will begin on Friday September 3rd with a get together/bar meet at Jillian's High Life Lanes in Bloomington, Minnesota (that's in the Mall Of America) from 8 pm till. E402 E. Broadway Bloomington, MN 55425 952.854.5483 If you've never been there it used to be Gatlin Brothers Music City. Next to Players Restaurant, and across from Gators. We meet in the bowling alley by the bowling ball rack by the last bowling lane (We'll be the rowdy folks on the couch). There is no charge.
Then the Fun continues with a party on Saturday Sept. 4th starting at 8:00 p.m. which will continue into the night of Sunday Sept. 5th. The donation for this little endeavor is 10.00 American per cpl or single (to cover expenses) and a dish to share with other party goers (chips, salad, etc.) And we'll supply the 2 King BR suite with full kitchen and the buffalo wings (we're ordering 200, so bring an appetite)
And the weekend will wind down with a potluck cookout on Labor Day Monday September 6th at Como Park in St. Paul.
Come on down and party up . Bring your friends, your lovers, your neighbors (since it IS that kinda party) , or that special couple you've just been dying to break in. Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - ours are still a work in progress for the mrs. a 55 oldsmobile super 88 four door with the orignal 324 and 4 speed hydromatic and i have to have a truck so if thats how it is then for me a 56 gmc with a chevy dash small back window and a in line 6 with a McCulic supercharger hopfully both will be running by next spring and they will be daily drivers as for now a 91 acura integra it makes gas and handles like the tires are glued to the pavment

I always get more action then my hubby, he has the same issue....how to start up the conversation. Its hard enough for a actual single guy to get laid, let alone a married one without the woman thinking your a freak or cheating.
We go to parties, and then follow up with the ladies there. Thats where he's got the most single guy action from. Even then that conversation can be a hard one to start haha
I have a issue with my hubby not wanting to be "outed" in his professional circle so thats a difficult one. I'm very very very open and honest and that can be difficult for me to hide stuff like this (side note, I would NEVER out someone else, I just have a hard time keeping my own secrets!)
All I can say about that being outed thing. Take a walk in the mall, you'll see a couple hundred people that your more then likely never to see again, even though logically you live in the same area and do some of the same general things.
Loosen up, live a little. If she does see someone at work that she's slept with.. guess what... they've seen her too! All of the swingers I have met are very respectful and wouldnt come up and high five and say "Nice fucking you Sat, when can we do it again?" at a board meeting or something HAHA Just sayin'
