PurfectLV party this weekend - - We know in some circles it is considered bad form to reply to your own post, but we thought an update on PurrfectLV would be useful for some. We went to the party last Friday night and we really enjoyed it. The venue at the top of the Mandalay Bay is fantastic. The swinger group has a separate room with a bar and with music at a low volume so conversation is easy. You can also go mingle in the main club/bar if you want to dance. There is also a great outdoor patio/balcony with a view of the Strip. The crowd (at least those we talked to) were mostly out of towners - for example, there was a whole party from Alaska who had only arrived in Vegas that night. There did also seem to be some regulars. Everyone seemed very easygoing and friendly - like most swingers. You can buy the admission ticket online before hand (we did) - it is more expensive to pay at the door. Online cost was $40 (plus a fee) for a couple with no additional charge for our third (a single female). Adding a single guy would ramp this up significantly. We are not sure how this compares to the regular admission to the club but it seemed reasonable given the private room. Bar prices were a bit steep by SLC standards - $14 for a glass of wine. Iman is a gracious and efficient hostess. She does this every week and has obviously streamlined the process. One really nice touch is that PurrfectLV guests don't have to stand in the regular line and are given a wristband. This gets you into the private room and means that you can also recognize other swingers even in the main bar. The main party runs from 10.30pm. At 1.30pm many people moved on to the after party which is in a hotel suite. This party is effectively a private house party and is BYOB. We didn't go so can't comment but it is definitely a full swing party. Iman circulates at the main party and distributes a second wristband for those interested. There is an additional contribution for this ($20/couple, single female again free).

Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - Ummm 75 couples times 2 = 150 people and while thats not alot for a hotel party it still falls within the accurate statement of aproximately 200 I was there so this is how I saw the situatiuon; now I am not saying that the cuprits of this incident were the swingers attending the party but come on, your hosts should have made sure that no part of your party was visible to outside guests and some better discression could have been used by SOME of the party goers. Yes there was some flashing and gyrating here and there. And while I love a good party I am also a dad and wouldnt want my kids seeing that stuff either. Do any of you realize that if even one arrest was made swingers everywhere would look bad?. On the other hand the parents should have exercised better control over the children in their charge and the hotel should have either a refused the party or not booked the soccor team (the situation there to me was like having booked a klan rally and a black panthers reunion. not a good idea). PS according to a reporter friend of mine WKMG has procured from the hotel a copy of the security tapes of the events that went on in the ballroom and around the hotel that night with the possiblity of doing a story on the night as part of an expose (i know its allready been done to death) on swinging in central florida.

Christain Swingers? - - If your interpretation of the scriptures is very literal, then the answer is of course that swinging and christianity can not co exsist. I am not a believer in the INSTITUTION of Christianity as a whole, I do not beleive that ANYBODY who has taken the time to educate themselves about the origins of Christianity (particularly the Roman Catholic Church) and organized religeon (sp?) could be a true believer, however that in no way means that I do not believe in GOD. Friends? - Friends in and out of the bedroom? - For us time is an obstacle to socializing. We have numerous adult offspring, and yes we have a few grandchildren, and we have vanilla friends, and we have jobs and do some volunteering and try and fit in some hobbies. We both seem to make friends easily enough, so that we end up doing a certain amount of socializing with people we see at work or in our vanilla world. Throw in the unexpected and there isn't much time left. We have a hard time making everything fit into our schedules as they are now. Honestly, we might disappoint someone, looking for someone they can hang out with every week, if they are looking to have us all to themselves. It seems, that busy people, do well hanging out with people who are also often on the run, and busy associating with other people. That might mean you see these sorts of people, while they are busy seeing other people. For us we are pretty good friends with our family, and many of their friends, and our family members, are pretty good friends with quite a few of our friends, and we end up hanging out. It's often pretty impromptu. It's not that uncommon for twenty people to be at our house having a meal or just hanging out. Our house, is one of those houses people just walk into. If in any social circle, the majority of the people hanging out are not swingers, and swinging would make them uncomfortable, then swinging probably won't happen. So swinging for us is a bit compartmentalized. But yes, we would not mind making a few more good friends, who fit in with our crowd, that also happened to be swingers, and not in everybody's face about it. People we could see more frequently, that fit in with our friends and family, who we could swing with in private. People we could see more of in and out of our clothing. Proximity, discretion and spontaneity are all a big plus.
