Alternative ways of connecting. - - We have five kids, all now adults, and most are now married and have kids. Kids and frankly grandkids make hooking up somewhat difficult. Before the spontaneous grandkid visits began, we used to host, have swinging dinner parties, etc. Our swingers playroom has been converted to a grandkids playroom. We are fine with that. If you want to be easily identifiable to other swingers (this isn't an event is open to any one) please tie a purple ribbon around your wrist. If you don't want to be bothered with that we will have our ribbons on and I will be wearing an obvious feather in my hat until the performance starts and I will put it back on after it is over.

We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. Sounds dandy. For a limited time Mr. Delicious is sporting a now two week old full beard to contrast his shaved head. Part of a guy thing going on with some of his friends. Yes, Couples Oasis keeps popping up in our search. Based on the description my concern is that it's more like the meet and greet style event that we find here in Utah. Not exactly the reason I would go to LV since we can find those here! :)

Bubulaplease - Confidentiality - Something that has bothered me a little bit...when we went to Lumpys the doorman asked if we were there for the Sinful event. We says yes and as we were walking down the stairs some people upstairs asked him what was going on and he said it was a swingers party. I mentioned it to a few people that night and it seemed that it was a normal occurrence. We realize that going to the events we may run into someone we know, however, people who don't know about our lifestyle also go to lumpys. There are dangerous Pitbulls, just as there are dangerous German Shepards and Golden Retrievers. It does not make it right to assume all are just because some are. Pitbulls are not the "most dangerous" breed by nature. The have a higher risk of attack, because many people mistreat them because of how they fight. Mis/Disinformation, ignorance and insecurity is what perpetuates intolerance
Again, you are right. However, there are those that will cite raw statistics to JUSTIFY their opinion instead of trying to FORM an opinion.
