I'd like some advice.....really, I'm serious. - - We've always gotten a chuckle while running into co-workers on this site, or we discover they are swingers. This has happened quite often, and it's remarkable what a fun common interest it is to have with someone with whom you've only had a working relationship. As for the play part, we rarely if ever approach or intimate that we'd like to play with them, and let them approach us. Unanswered emails - Why do people not take the time to respond? - Well we have to agree with everything \"CHAMMY-FL\" wrote ..we too find ourselves busy in life with working out,working,running 2 of our own forum boards as well..so we only seem to answer e-mails from cpls that strike us right away...when we have time we will then go through cpls profiles and pictures. NOBODY was going to ever answer any ad you put in the mag, so there wasn't any point in spending the big bucks on a Polaroid, and they didn't come out with cheaper ones that most people could afford until what, late '70s I think it was? (I wonder how many people on the site ever even saw one of those) Anyway,no need for a camera or a PO box for replies, there wouldn't ever be any replies. That "advantage" was offset big time by the fact that the only way you ever even knew about any gatherings, let alone got into them, was if someone knew you and asked you. Which hardly ever happened even if you knew a couple dozen swingers, like I did, because it WAS essentially wife swapping back then. Or if not full swapping, a sort of swapping with everyone in the same room So if you didn't have a lady with you, you had nothing to offer. I was incredibly lucky 'cause I was really good friends with a few couples, friends to the point that I once in a great while got to got with the mrs. to a party. If it weren't for that I doubt I'd have ever gotten into anything. I'm not certain, because it was something that never came up with me personally, but as far as I knew, back then single guys weren't even welcome if a couple brought them. It was all one guy and one girl, or forget about it. I don't really know what went on through the few mags, because, knowing it'd be a waste of time, I never bothered. And I never had to buy disco clothes, I grew up with Hippie rock and folk, and always hated disco as what destroyed rock and roll as well as folk. Hell, the only difference in my clothes now is that the jeans aren't flares or bells and the shirts aren't either flowered of psychedelic 'cause nobody makes them anymore. But I do still have Frye harness boots, same as in the '70s.

For those that know it the symbol says it all and for those that don't know it could be just some Mac fan or teacher thing. She did get called out on it once in a very strange way. She was at at GYN appointment with a specialist and he asked what the "Apple" was. She said it was her NASCA Apple and he came back with he had heard about it and "always wanted to try swing dancing . . . but somehow didn't think it was about that type of dance" with a smile on his face. She said if it was not for the position she was in she might have had a good come back but it was all to strange at the time. The real trick of having something that both shows your lifestyle and at the same time being innocent is being ready to go one way or the other when asked. Our family sees our boat's name (Swingtide) as just a nautical thing about the change in tides and how it matched a change in our life too. Lots of places and people come out with something to sell to identify but hide our lifestyle. The problem with that is it's always changing so there is no way to know. In most towns asking about a Swing Club would be hard because there are not that many and lots swingers don't go the club route. We remain a hidden community connected in groups here and there be it online places like this or clubs or just local groups of friends - we miss out on a lot of new friends because we have no clue who is who most of the time. They need to add a wrist band for couples willing to play with single guys (or not willing). I guess it could get a bit complex - Bi female of full swap/same room/couple sometimes willing to play with single female or a single guy . . . how many wrist bands would that be?
