How Do you Find Out - Question about Friends - For the most part, DON'T ASK... There are WAY more NON-SWINGERS in the country than swingers, so your chances of your friends being swingers is slim. There are a few things that will point to swinging. Check her closet. If there is allot of club wear the chances are better. Ask about their vacations. If they mention a place like HEDO they are pretty much swingers.. If there is a couple you would like to play with you can create a fun night and when things feel right, ask if they have ever thought about swinging... When swingers are densely populated in an area.. yes.. that's bound to happen.. However, a tiny fraction of the population are actually swingers.. so when you're talking about something "in the wild" (versus at a meet-up), this isn't likely to be a problem.

I'd say we're years (decades?) away from that ever becoming a problem. Black rings would need to be EVERYWHERE before the general populace catches on to it... and then you just move on to something else.

I'm not sure which part of the black-ring suggestion takes "spending a lot of time"... Attending meetups is DEFINITELY the preferred way to find swingers (well, and web-sites, like this one)... But talking to people who've actually seen the black-ring in the wild and MET swingers in open, public, spaces... there's a certain excitement that comes from that.
Maybe I'll just wear my "I swingers" t-shirt, instead. ;)

We have friendships with vanilla couples who we think are smoking hot and wish they were in the lifestyle. lol. Perhaps this is a question for another forum thread. But, how does one broach the subject with a vanilla couple who are friends? Does anyone have any success stories of how you converted a vanilla couple friendship to the lifestyle? Personally, we think the best way to broach that subject with vanillas is to just, at some point in the friendship, put it out there that you're swingers and then let the other couple process, digest, and come to terms with that information and do with it what they will. We feel like there are FAR too many swingers who enjoy 'vanilla hunting' and use unfair tactics (alcohol, late nights, etc.), if not outright subterfuge, to try to 'convert' them as, I guess, some kind of power trip. If you let people have the space to come to a rational, informed decision on their own there is, IMO, FAR less chance for drama (or WORSE!) as a sequela.
Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - "I know a guy that is 75 years old and still enjoys being with others. He claims that he can satisfy a lady even if the hubby is taking pictures. Although he needs a half an hour or so to get it up again.
