BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - This is an interesting thread. I enjoy reading the sensible and somewhat innane, pseudo "I know what I am talking about so you all listen to me" comments. Thanks for keeping it interesting. In our family, my wife's two kids, should they ever find out, would laugh, tell us "you have got to be kidding" and then move on. My kids, who are adults but a bit younger, would want to have a lively discussion about it and then move on as well. We have raised our children to be acceptant of everyone, their eccentricities and lifestyles. The are all comfortable with each other and discuss pretty much everything so no problems there. As a part of the discussion about family, Netta's two brothers are in the lifestyle and "came out" to us within the last four months.....I think to see our reaction.....and were quite shocked and pleased we have been in the lifestyle for over 5 years. We suspect her mom and dad played as well. And you know......no one in the family has killed themselves because of it. If nothing else, it generates conversation. Something else....as I DO work in healthcare, particularly focusing on psychological interactions...those who tend to support their comments with cursing, or "I know what I am talking about", tend not to. They just have a pathological need to force their opinion, for that is what it is, on everyone and have it taken for fact. Typically, they tend to be arrogant and have a pretty inflexible belief system. Anyway...MY OPINION.........lol As the adadge says,"let the buyer beware" and......the truth isn't any truer because you yell it the loudest. As always.........enjoy........have fun.........be safe Doc (and Netta)

International Swingers Day - How are you celebrating? - Hopefully finding a bi-guy or bi-couple to spend the day with

Where do you go have Adult only sexual fun in Vegas... - Sexual fun - As a local who has been to almost all of the clubs in Vegas, I will tell you that the Red Rooster and Green Door both get a lot of single guys hoping to get lucky. Not all of the them are old (and of course that is a relative term) but at the Rooster there is just a small couples only area upstairs, with the dance floor downstairs with the BYOB bars. That said, it is worth a trip once to experience it. Same goes for the Green Door, except that meeting new couples there is difficult. There is a mix of single guys and couples floating around and the couples areas are set up so there is viewing but no contact by the single guys. Many of the couples are equally tourists who just want to see what it is about, some just looking at the other couples playing and maybe a bit of touching and the rare BJ, but they don;t seem to want to join in much. Couples Oasis is strictly couples only, single women and the rare single guy must come with a couple and stay with them. While there are some cliques, you can approach most of the folks there and find some new people to play with. Also BYOB bar and they have a simple buffet in case you need a snack or more. Swingers Circle has had mixed reviews, with some complaining about the costs and also the locations that move around.

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

Was it all our fault that... - - ...Moroni got hit by lightning yesterday? 1) Yup. We were VERY naughty at the party Sat. night. Sorry, Moroni. 2) It's not us swingers who are evil, it's all that gay marriage and war on Christmas stuff. 3) OMG, that's the funniest thing I've seen all day. 4) That does it. We're confessing and going back to church...just as soon as we have the gang bang we're planning for our birthdays. 5) Actually I'm 100% shocked I haven't been struck by lightning yet! 6) (Insert apocalyptic end of the world scripture here) 7) Why couldn't it have hit the capital rotunda...while the legislature was in session? 8) I KNEW I should have given up masturbating for Lent. 9) Oh well, they'll likely put up a statue of Donald Trump there now anyway.

Friend collectors or swingers - - We are real and always meeting and playing with new people

Sanpetesinners - Swingers clubs - Swingers clubs in San Francisco?

Mormons - - We have met a lot of ex mormons on this site that are a blast to party with. Based on what we know of the LDS church it is very restrictive on most matters involving pleasures outside of the teachings of the church. With all that being said we don't feel like religion plays much of a part in swinging. We usually don't discuss it and we are skeptical when others do. Discussing religion on a swingers site just doesn't seem right to us especially when others in your religion may hold it against you. We don't care what religion you are, what your politics are or what ethnic group your from. We just look for those we are attracted to and whom we can make a connection with both mentally and physically. If we all decide to get naked together then that makes things even better.

Going on a Cruise - Not sure what to expect - Post your cruise date and ship to see if you match dates with other like minded peeps. Where your black rings and maybe throw an inside down pineapple shirt in your luggage. But mostly if you go to the bars swingers give off a certain vibe and if you feel that initiate a conversation. We have been on numerous all inclusive vacations and have found other like minded people. Happy hunting

Concerned For A Friend In Utah - Help? - Fresh Home Baked bread and swingers finding something to do on a sunday morning, sounds like a good idea. Hope somebody can help.
