What about the lifestyle didn't meet your expectations? - Preconceptions and disappointment. -
While I agree with your premise in principle, I would argue that by sheer repetition alone swingers would eventually have to get at least a LITTLE better at sex...or succumb to swinger Darwinism and 'de-select' themselves from the lifestyle. LOL
hmmm . . . me thinks thou does't protest too much! πŸ˜‰πŸ€£ I guess we've just been lucky . . . or we are too low in our 'circulation' - but, we've had GREAT experiences (so far)! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰

Slow Dancing in SLC? - Any clubs for that? -
Hmmmm complaining that Salt Lake (okay Sandy) is too far to drive. Yep, you're definitely a geezer. [em]Emo_67[/em]
LOL -- I think the point was that this Club 90 place MAY have music a bit toned down and MIGHT play a few slower song choices? So driving an hour and a half for something that might be available locally seems unnecessary? Given events, let me put it to you this way. This particular swinger enjoys her unicorns with their horns placed a tad further south as compared to male-dominated swingers such as yourself. So lets take that hour and a half and assign it an "Opportunity Cost" as if we're in a basic economics class. Instead of driving, that time could be spent on any of the following: At an establishment of fine dining enjoying a romantic dinner. In a Blues/jazz bar chatting up a few local men, eventually swaying together on a tiny dance floor. Back at home, sunggling naked, sandwiched between two handsome men while Fogerty, Adele, Chili Peppers, and other music too tame for the younger crowd plays in the background. Relaxing with a couple glasses of wine, and a pile of blankets before the fire. Having the fire within sated. Waking the next morning, with no hangover, and remembering. Perma-grin hits. Still plenty of time and energy to make church by 10, and hit the gym by noon. Ah, yes, if this is your definition of geezer, I embrace it. Whole-heartedly, repeatedly, and with great zeal. :)

Playing with \"swingers\" vs \"nonswingers\" - - We prefer not to mix the two sides of our life up! That is, we keep to ourselves that we are swingers with everyone except other swingers. Isn\'t that what \"Discreet\" means? We have only had one couple approach us at a \"non-swinger\" social function and talk to us like we should be getting together with them - all while in front of our real-life friends. When this thoughtless couple left our table, the other 3 couples there asked what that was all about. We actually ignored the question and went right on enjoying our evening -- without any real trouble. We always talk to each other in private when we are out at a night club and wonder between ourselves how this or that person might be in bed -- but we never act on those impulses. It is our belief that most people would be shocked, but not necessarily in awe about our swinging behavior. Therefore, we do not ask non-swingers to play with us. Most of the other responses here are right on target. Those that do not have experience with swinging are not really prepared to handle the social/sexual interactions between 3 or 4 people -- hell, most swingers we know (including us) don\'t do a very good job of handling it! There certainly seem to be alot of very hot swingers to choose from at this website, we wonder why you would have to go outside to find what you are looking for?

Looking to establish a group of safe swingers - - It sounds like a great idea, we too are also looking for people that we can trust and let it all go. Count us in.!

swingin - thought this site was a swingers site - If you get tired of all the non-sex forums, start a thread about sex then :) I think there is room for everybody's interests. Mrs DP

Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - As EdNBrenda said a very good book would be "The Lifestyle." It is a little bit dated but the book is research based and has a lot of interesting information from history to demographics. It is not a book to grab for raw excitement but a very good book for intellectual discussion. What makes it unique is the book seems very objective and was written by a non swinger doing his research as an observer of the lifestyle. For a bit more fun read Dave Barry's article on Swing Conventions - here is a bit of it (email me for all of it). "You don't think of swingers as being the type of people who hold conventions. By ''swingers,'' I mean couples who swing with other couples. By ''swing,'' I mean, ``you know exactly what I mean.''ut my point is that you (and by ''you,'' I mean ''I'') don't think of swingers as being big conventiongoers. You think of them as hanging out at private parties, or exclusive swinger nightclubs, or secluded motels, or the Clinton White House. You don't picture swingers walking around large convention hotels wearing name badges and attending seminars, like executives in the forklift industry." "Attire aside, most of the swingers seemed to be regular people. In fact, according to a story about the convention in The Herald, the two most-common professions for swingers are police officer and teacher. This stunned me, especially the teachers. I mean, remember when you were a kid, and you were shocked whenever you saw a teacher at, say, the supermarket, because you didn't think of teachers as having any existence outside of school, or even necessarily as being food-eating life forms? Well, imagine if you encountered your trigonometry teacher wearing a garment that left absolutely nothing to the imagination regarding the cosine OR the hypotenuse." "I think that, as parents, we should be concerned about the fact this type of individual is being employed in our schools. Maybe we should notify the police." "No, wait."

What about the lifestyle didn't meet your expectations? - Preconceptions and disappointment. - SRO said: "Evil: always good topics you bring to the table. So you think because people like sex they should be good at it? I know a lot of people who love food but suck at cooking. haha. Maybe having too many options on the table can also make people lazy. I don't have to try hard if I know tomorrow is another partner. To some it's the quantity and not the quality. But I can see why the expectation would be there." While I agree with your premise in principle, I would argue that by sheer repetition alone swingers would eventually have to get at least a LITTLE better at sex...or succumb to swinger Darwinism and 'de-select' themselves from the lifestyle. LOL

Friend collectors or swingers - -
We have a great core group of friends in the SLC area that we love to spend time with when we visit the area. In addition, we have a few more on our friends list that we would eventually like to meet. Actually, we have more pending friend requests than profiles on our friends list. We are extremely proficient in meeting others because we are swingers and not friend collectors. We have plenty of vanilla friends on Facebook. Haha!
That sounds like a good system. πŸ‘πŸΌβ˜ΊοΈ
