Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? - We are new to Utah so we are really hoping it's not dying out or that people are only looking for Barbie and Ken....I'd rather not move again ;) Mrs crazyfun Xoxox

Going a new direction! - Let's get some testimonials. - As a single male I can say that Swinguler is the ONLY swingers website that has treated me with respect and I have never gotten negative responses from members.

Hosting a swingers Party - - Why not preceed the lifestyle party with a lingerie party or a toy party. Adam & Eve have an operation with local reps who go out and have house parties. Also several lingerie companies have similar set up where they come out with lingerie. Make sure the rep knows it's a lifestyle event and that if they are in the lifestyle they can bring their SO for after the presentation. Most people now accept parties in the neighborhood like Pampered Chef or Tupperware or lingerie parties...and if a close neighborhood friend finds out and wants to be included all you have to say is that it's a club thing and you are not the hostess... But a party like that is also an ice breaker.. have coffee and softdrinks some cake and or cookies and depending on the group hot wings(which could make for an interesting night....for some lucky souls..We try to keep alcohol to a bare min for several reasons.... People have to drive home... The presentation starts during the afternoon so the swinging starts early... Alcohol also dulls the sex drive... and alcohol can be a reason for the local constabulary to break into the event. If no alcohol is present and noone goes outside then there is very little that the law can do... A way to get a party started and a fun evening for all. make sure that condoms are available... Next time one of the other couples can hold the party.. One couple had a party like this in a 14' X 65 foot single wide with plenty of room for 8 couples... Notmal house should be absolutely great. Black Ring, Right Hand - How to tell if someone's a swinger -
We used to go to the occasional lifestyle takeover/trip and would invariably be issued a wristband upon arrival so that we could get into events at the hotel or resort. It usually took about half a day for word to leak out, first among hotel employees and then later the general public, that swingers were around the area and that they could be identified by their wristbands. I guarantee if the black ring thing took off that very soon there would be multiple internet stories as well as likely regular news outlets that "swingers" wear black rings on their right hands and there goes any anonymity. The VAST majority of swingers would then not dare wear the accessory for fear of being seen/identified in public as a swinger. MUCH easier to just attend private swinging events where you have a reasonable assurance that all or most in attendance are indeed swingers rather than spend a lot of time cruising the bars or whatever looking for people wearing black rings. [em]Emo_67[/em]
Yeah, i point this out every time this is brought up. As soon as the secret hand shake is out, it becomes useless. I heard about the black ring, upside down pine4, flamingo, and white rocks almost twenty years ago, before I ever dreamt of considering swinging. (I keep seeing people say it was created recently, but it has been around for a long time). Thing is, you can think you've got some kind of secret code, or secret meeting place, but the public already knows. But if people want to wear black rings, I say go for it. Unfortunately, I still have to value discretion, so advertising of any kind in public won't be happening any time soon.

Swingers in China - Doh! - - Don't think that this can never happen here. Now that the collective will be paying for the healthcare of the collective, I can see a backlash against what we do. It doesn't matter if their allegations are correct; all that matters is if a majority of voters can be convinced.

courtesy - dates and communication - When we started swinging there was no internet....not like today where it takes a few seconds to find someone you want to fuck and shoot off an email or a friend request. We had to find a magazine with ads for swingers (at an adult book store), write a letter, probably include a Polaroid pic with the letter and mail it and wait for a reply...which didn't always come. So I guess we kind of were conditioned to not really worry about it too much especially once internet swinging happened and it didn't take so much work to reach out. Now it takes so little effort to contact potential playmates that many people often spam out large numbers of emails in a shotgun approach or do the same with friend requests. We've, sadly, gotten to the point in our swinging career where we DON'T respond to blind friend requests or emails that are obviously sent to multiple people (no mention specifically of us or our profile). We used to respond but found that at least half the time we then got no response in return so we assumed the senders got a BBD (bigger, better deal) and were no longer interested. We really don't get our panties in a wad over it. I kind of look at it like an unsolicited spam email from someone wanting to clean my carpets. I really don't feel a great need to respond even though it would be the POLITE thing to do. Although I am seriously considering writing back to that Nigerian prince who wants to give me a million bucks. [em]Emo_67[/em] That said, blowing someone off after making plans to meet is a douchecopter move and (barring a REALLY good excuse proffered in a timely manner) will quckly get someone on our permanent no fly list. Yup, we're assholes that way. [em]Emo_84[/em]

Something to consider - No means no online too. - Our experience has been that they will be even MORE "pushy in the flesh". People who don't take rejection well, no matter how gently or politely it's offered, are a HUGE red flag to us and we will go far out of our way to avoid interacting with them in any way. In the past we grudgingly accepted a few offers to meet someone who repeatedly requested it despite our better judgement and almost immediately regretted it. We now simply ignore repeated Friend Requests from people who we've responded to previously or those who don't take the time to read our profile (okay at least skim it) and know what our preferences are. Almost invariably these repeated FR's are just spammed out anyway. We have yet to meet anyone in person at, say, a party and have them take issue with the fact that we declined a previous offer to meet or didn't respond to their repeated emails. Assholes are assholes no matter whether they're swingers or not.

Looking for Advice - Recently coming back into the LS - Hello! So I just have a question. We were in the LS about two years ago.. and since getting back into it, it seems like what we want is not as accepting ( or that we aren't actual swingers). We aren't a full swap couple and I feel like that hinders us from meeting new people and just getting out there. While I enjoy watching my husband with other women, I have no desire to be with anyone other than my husband. Is this weird? We have talked to a few couples who just question why were are in the LS at all. They have said that what we are looking for is a "tall order" or that "we aren't actual swingers" which I can understand to a point.. but isn't this site for people also looking to explore their sexuality in a safe place with no judgements? I would love some feedback or advice if anyone else in a similar situation because at this point I don't feel welcome. Thank You!
