How has swinging made your marriage better? - - Curious... how many of the previous posters (or anyone on here for that matter) are on their FIRST marriage and have been "successful" swingers for 4-5 years+ ?
Tally those numbers and see if it makes marriages better. Would also be curious about second, third, fourth marriages (but those are harder because a lot have met in the lifestyle and/or came from a marriage that ended in infidelity). Still, have wondered.

Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - It's a numbers game... Less than a tenth of 100th of a percent of the population of Utah is into swinging..... You may wear it for YEARS before someone notices.. (Just like the odds of running into a swinger at the grocery store are ridiculously slim).
Odds go up significantly if you wear them to places where swingers are likely to be (Habits on a Friday night, for example).
Favorite bars in utah - - There are quite a few people that are part of a couple or singles that frequent places like Piper Down that do not have swingers profiles that do decide to have sex with others as a couple or whatever if it just feels right! It will not feel right until a connection is made. Maybe it is the Irish influence (Piper Down is maybe more Scottish than Irish but we love it) As we found it to be in Ireland, if you can relax enough to enjoy people enough to really connect without any expectations or expressions of urgency that you are "after it now" that all sorts of hijinks including sex can happen. Swingers frequent Habits and Club 48 and some frequent Club 90 in our experience. A lot of healthy happy singles and couples here in Utah are at least in the back of their minds a little bit on the sexual prowl when they go out on the town. Swinger are a bit more overt. Having an eye open and maybe even with some hopes that you will find something exciting out there in a world teaming with possibilities is exciting! Entering into a venue where there are more than a few grinding the sex axe that will be disappointed if the sex possibility does not happen can be a downer.

Tact is usually taught by our parents and environment, not geography.
However.........(speaking of Southern Utahans) We live in a "Jack Mormon" area of the "south" people don't shove religious beliefs down our throat, different Mormons in different places (not trying to bag on Mormons, just a using them to make a point) 50 miles south, they are not as tolerant of us "Non-members"
My point is this......TACT is something you have to WANT to learn and apply to your life, where you live usually only decides how far you can run your mouth before getting punched out, some people tolerate others better over different subjects, you might find more racism in a community that has a majority, the more mixed the culture, the more diverse, the less mixed, probably less diverse (that can be a matter of geography.)

It depends on the man, of course. Some men do value personality over body type and some definitely value body type over personality. It's the same for women too. In fact, on average, we've met more women who are extremely picky about body type, etc. than men. And body type isn't the only thing that can be a deal breaker for people. Age is also a line in the sand for many swingers. For others, things like smoking or drug use can be big factors in choosing play partners. And there are MANY quite minor factors that people use to weed out people they may not want to play with.
I think it's probably because swinging is more or less a fantasy activity and people are looking for a certain type that hits most or at least some of their checkmarks for a fantasy partner.Those may be body type, hair color, ethnicity, age, or one of many other criteria.
The really interesting part, to me, is how people are often FAR more forgiving of certain physical characteristics in their own partner than they are in someone they want to have sex with. Yet they often get upset when other people also have that same attitude.
I do think, though, that people kind of get in their own way a little bit and in their search for the perfect swing playmate often overlook someone who is on many levels a good or even great match but not a perfect one. I think they're probably missing out on a lot of fun and a lot of good sex.
