Maybe it is the Irish influence (Piper Down is maybe more Scottish than Irish but we love it) As we found it to be in Ireland, if you can relax enough to enjoy people enough to really connect without any expectations or expressions of urgency that you are "after it now" that all sorts of hijinks including sex can happen. Swingers frequent Habits and Club 48 and some frequent Club 90 in our experience. A lot of healthy happy singles and couples here in Utah are at least in the back of their minds a little bit on the sexual prowl when they go out on the town. Swinger are a bit more overt. They are very nice. It's the Irish in us and she is pretty classic or classical pretty, in a Irish way. Just that simple. We were and are romantics more than swingers, but we enjoy both, and they sometimes blend well with the right sort of people.

If your just hooking up for sex and not friendship as many in the lifestyle are does it matter what the other partners have going on in there lives? Where they work, are they married etc? Everyone swings for there own reason and if all your looking for is pleasure of a third or whatever then so long as they are clean, respectful and discreat it really shouldn\'t concern you (Same goes for females). When you meet at a swingers club do you check everyones credentials, do a background check and call references?

tired of the B>S> - - u know, i don't think we're validated or certified or whatever they call it here on this site. we've been on so many it's hard to keep track. anyway, we're very real and we just don't give a hoot about validations anymore. i guess u could say we've progressed thru maslow's hierarchy of needs for swingers to the self-actualized phase. that's a clever way of saying we no longer give a rat's ass what other people think. ;)
we've been swingers since 2003, and we really only went to a lot of parties and sought out new experiences with regularity for the first 2 years. now it's just another "thang" we dabble in from time to time when the mood hits us...mostly on vacation, weekend getaways, and stuff like that.
and we really have no ego stake in how many unsolicited emails we do or don't get from people asking us to hook up or inviting us to parties. if we get the itch, we'll look around, find something that piques our curiosity, and send them a message.

Why are there so many swingers from Utah? - - personally, we believe that it has something to do with how conservative this state is. it is our belief that ultra-conservative enviroments result in built up tension that is then released in a more risque manner. i think you would find similar type issues in a highly catholic area or the bible belt, etc.
but we consider ourselves lucky. you just never know when that hot little mormon girl is going to decide to live out some fantasies. we have been on the receiving end of a few of those and hopefully will with a few more.
