Let's see, you just said that people confess to their bisbop. How is that any different from what I said? I remember being in college and the bisbop called me in, supposedly a girl I had messed around with concessed to her bishop, that bisbop made her tell him my name, and he turned around and told my bisbop. So that confess and tell name part is somewhat true/sarcasm...the rest is pure sarcasm that me and my other mormon friends would just laugh at... Original humans as swingers? - Provocative theories based on Bonobo sexual behavior - I have actually found this to be true, quite recently in fact. My wife and I were at a rough time in our marriage and simoultaneously happened upon another woman that we both really enjoyed (who is also QUITE gorgeous). After a while of all getting to know each other, we welcomed her into our home and she became our full-time 3rd. Within mere days of her joining us, the conflict between my wife and I just faded. While the 2 ladies love each other dearly, there seems to be between them a friendly sort of competition for my affections at any given moment. Therein, they are both perpetually on their "best behavior". It's a communal, free and open relationship now and everyone gets along even better than what was already a great marriage. There is no guilt and no jealousy, just love and friendship. It's awesome and stands as irrefutable evidence that "civilized, modernized sexuality" is not the natural state of the species. This whole thing brings back a memory...many years ago (please excuse some of the "wording" as it's not meant to offend, it's simply exact quotes of others)...
When I was a young Second Lieutenant, my unit was sent to do "riot control" for a large march by Hosea Williams and his group...as you can guess, the Klan, skinheads and other distasteful groups planned to (and did) show up to "counter protest"...my unit was scheduled to be deployed between the two groups...
The night before, I was talking to my platoon...talking about the possibilities of the next morning when the march/protest...hoping that I might prepare them for the verbal abuse they were sure to endure, we talked about it and how to react...my platoon sergeant (who happened to be black) asked me "So sir...are you saying they might call me Nigger?" Of course, it was said tongue in cheek...he KNEW that is what we were talking about...knew it was going to happen...and simply put us all at ease by just saying it and getting it out in the open...his response was so true:
"Sir, those are just words and I really feel sorry for those people who have so much anger and hate in them that their only outlet is such an ignorant display - if they were really capable of expressing themselves intelligently they wouldn't have to resort to that - when I remember that, I realize just how much I feel sorry for them...and it's hard to get mad at someone you pity" - plus, I'm a soldier and I have sworn to protect their right to call me a Nigger"...
At that, everyone in the room laughed quite loudly...my platoon sergeant was quite the philosopher if you ask me...
