First time flop rule - it happens - i have thought about this. we are newbies and havent even met up with a couple yet (there arent many swingers in our area apparently) we get the 'what if' thoughts. Stainless Steel Kitchens? - Stainless Steel Kitchens? - We are thinking that we want the cabinets themselves to be stainless but the counter top to be some other material because it is more likely that scratches or stains will occur on the counter tops than on the cabinets or the appliances with exception of the stove. Stove tops (like swingers posting in the forums) can take a lot of abuse if you cook a lot. Some wear and maybe even some scaring is bound to happen. We are looking more for low maintenance functionality and dependability than high maintenance glamour that you are afraid to touch or that has a quick break down once you actually start to cook. We just love a kitchen that just screams use me harder, harder, yes please. As I said earlier we are more like an adventure base camp than the Ritz Carlton. The designer we know and trust and so far are planning on using has a team he works with it seems but we can pass anyone's name along to him and yes we will be discrete. So far he has never had a request for a steel kitchen so we are looking mostly for someone that has access to the steel cabinetry and some experience in installing steel kitchens. We are still open to other options so long as the durability might be comparable.

Swingular became a featured part of the story because this woman included the site, as part of her tale of woe. The story was one sided because Heidi Hatch only spoke with one person as a reporter. She may have chatted with a lot of us under false pretenses. Obviously, KUTV news had a lot to do with how badly the story was presented. I would suspect there is at least one intelligent, insightful reporter somewhere with in the state that would be willing to present something less opinionated and in depth. Maybe Doug Fabrizio on KUER radio would be willing to turn his considerable talents toward an insightful investigative report. Mr. Fabrizio would probably read some of the better literature about the lifestyle in preparation and open a profile identifying himself honestly, as a reporter. The catch is he would need to be able to interview quite a few couples and singles within the lifestyle and probably actually attend a meet and greet, with an invitation, so as to have a first hand experience sans the sexual part of it. Well unless he and his wife were so inclined. With radio west being a radio program there would not be any faces revealed, but I think to be interesting the story would require a few couples willing to talk openly on air. That would be hard to find.
Hair Removal Risk/Benefit - Hair removal and increased or decreased susceptibility to some STI/STDs - We have an non-intimate vanilla acquaintance, that caught a strain of HPV and could not clear it, that has had numerous surgeries on her lady parts, and uses chemotherapy cream on a regular basis. It’s unsettling to hear about these sorts of health risk, but to ignore the existence of risk is not at all wise.
There are preventative measures and then there is the luck of the genetic raffle. Most of us in the lifestyle, well most anyone, who has ever been sexually active, even just a little, and probably the majority of adults, sexually active or not, have probably been exposed to some strain of HPV, and most of us never had symptoms and just cleared the virus. Me personally, I’m strep resistant. I actually seem to be able to kill streptococcus through my own secondary immune system. When the kids or the wife would catch it and be symptomatic and start their antibiotics to kill it, I would test positive, without being symptomatic. Go back a day later and I would test negative. Rather than taking antibiotics for no reason I just sort of stayed away from people until they had been on antibiotics for a day. I don’t get sick but I could carry strep until I seem to just kill it. I have maybe been sick three days in the last fifteen years. Mrs. Delicious gets sick maybe four times a year. It’s the luck of the draw. Neither of us have ever had a cold sore, and I doubt we that neither of us have ever been exposed to that virus.
