Have the forums become... - Forum Poll - ...a sad parody of the booty call section? 1) Yes, but how the fuck else do you get people to consider fucking you? I mean it's just TOO HARD to actually read profiles and write a thoughtful, provocative email expressing your interest and reasons why you think you might be a good match with a particular person or couple. 2) No, the forums were actually designed expressly to make it so someone has to expend as little effort as possible searching for and connecting with other like-minded swingers. 3) I didn't know there was any other way to try to connect with other people besides the forum. Besides, I'm spending 3 Gold Dragons per month to be a member and I damn well expect to get my money's worth in easy, free nookie! Dracarys! 4) Fuck you, Evil. You probably only get lucky when the junkies who live under the viaduct need a fix and you have a few bucks leftover from your SSI check to pay them for a BJ. 5) Meh, we just spam out Friend Requests and hope a few of the people we send them to will do all the work and try to convince US to fuck THEM. It's reverse psychology! 6) I'm starting to think this poll is just a tad sarcastic. 7) It's Saturday night and our Dance (Fuck) Card is so full we'll have to visit the ER early tomorrow morning for the severe chaffing from fucking so many people. Who needs forums? 8) That does it! We're going back to AFF and cruising for sex partners at run-down dive bars after last call.

Hotel Check In - - Anyone who works in a hotel for more than a few months will see some pretty freaky shit. Swingers are probably kind of mild compared to some of the things that they encounter.

Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - What would be your ultimate Swing Vacation Getaway spot, and why? Dont be surprised if we steal your idea and go there...lol.

Secret Swingers Club Ogden, UT - Clubs - Dress code for unspoken

The Very Nicest Turndown - Tell US - We have had our share of turn downs, but most we have found people just don't respond. From the few that actually took the time to respond I can't remember anyone doing more than saying no thanks. We did save one response to a rejection letter we sent, the only one ever saved. She wrote an entire 1 page letter about how we should not judge books/people by the cover. It was quite a read. It was in response to one of our nicer rejecting letters where we politely pointed out we had no interest and suggested some swingers groups they might consider exploring (they were just started to explore the lifestyle). oh well.

Public display/playing - Playing in public places -

I really enjoy playing in public places. A lot of people talk about it, but do they actually do it?
By "playing" I assume you mean fucking? Have ya tried Temple Square? DEF a bucket list item for swingers who like to live dangerously! [em]Emo_49[/em]
I live right by temple square, and have unlocked this achievement!

Ways to point out Swingers in public - - ^ all true, but if we see a black ring on a right hand AND a wedding ring on the left hand, we’re going to ask a few subtle questions to see if they are LS or not. It’s just for fun, chances are still low they are LS. As far as picking LS couples out...pre-LS we wouldn’t know what to look for but now it’s not that hard. Watch them at a club and you can often tell. It’s a fun game to play.

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!
