Do you think they're swingers? - - where do you find this stuff?

GB group - Interest -

Straight men are afraid that bi or gay men will treat the straight men the way straight men treat women; it's so obvious when they avoid them at every opportunity, yet delight in a bi or gay woman - they know they're more likely to physically overpower a woman's actions.
That's a mind-cranker there. While I suppose that could sometimes be the case, males who score a zero on the Kinsey Scale may just be creeped out at gay/bi males because they aren't sexually attracted to them and can't relate at all. Not because they fear that some guy will bend them over and rock their anus without permission.
Are these men equally creeped out by females they don't find attractive, so creeped out they refuse to be in a room w/ them when everyone is naked and there for nothing but sex? Of course not. Funny that the thing you imagine immediately is the anal rape of a straight man by a bi/gay man, the standard homophobic trope that it is despite an almost complete lack of it happening comparatively; do you think that's the only way women are treated by men? It's interesting to me that you call my statement a mind-cranker, then mention Kinsey - Kinsey's body of research intending to be a mind-crank all on its own.
I am heterosexual. I am not homophobic. I am not worried that someone might think me bisexual or gay just because I have bisexual or gay friends and or associates. In our profile we only checked no to homosexual males because they would not be interested in Mrs. Delicious sexually and I would not be interested in them sexually. So why would we hook up? Bisexual men are not a problem because they will enjoy playing with the wife and if they get a bit of an extra thrill because there is another man or men in the room good for them. Heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality are all normal and healthy sexual behaviors. Rape or any other form of non consensual force, be it physical or emotional are not in any way shape or form normal or healthy. So having kind and considerate bisexual men, in the room during playtime or even kind and considerate homosexual men in the room enjoying each other would not be offensive to either one of us. It would not excite me but it would not disgust me. Mrs. Delicious is excited by men, so she admits it would be arousing. I am aroused by women so watching two women together excites me. What's the difference? In the end if a man enjoys watching a woman having sex with a man other than himself he is not altogether anti-man. If he prefers watching a woman having sex with a man possessing certain physical attributes he must admit, he has in a way a form of preference, as to the men he enjoys watching pleasuring a woman or in the case of swingers, his wife. Guys think about it the next time you are watching pornography. If a man, all alone, with nobody to judge him, has no desire to watch gay pornography he is either 100% or almost 100% heterosexual. That would be me, I am heterosexual. Mrs. Delicious is bisexual and enjoys the ability to be sexually attracted to and to sometimes sexually enjoy a wider variety of people in this world. We all have to accept who we are before we can accept others for who they are.

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

Can REAL FRIENDSHIPS in the Lifestyle TRULY exist? - More than just meeting and having fun - Hi from Holland. Yes, among our best friends are sure some couples we met in our swinging life. Even a couple that stopped swinging after loosing a child is still very close with us for many years now. Sometimes we are disapointed by those swingers that are only for a one night stand without telling that. Just say it in advance if its only for that, so you know what to expect. You share such an important thing when swinging. Kisses, Bea and Alex

D&D free? - is this an oxymoron? - As I've been pondering all the intriguing aspects of this new world we are entering, something doesn't mesh in my mind. We live in a nation where billions (at least multi-millions) are spent daily to advertise drugs. This is done because it enables the drug companies to make multi-billions selling drugs. You can get prescription drugs for everything from your pecker to your severe depression about your pecker! And this is only the legal/prescription drug industry - I imagine the illegal drug business is even bigger. Just exactly where do all these drugs go? I suppose a lot are consumed by folks who have minimal concerns about engaging in high risk activities? Hmmm..... swingers?nah? Fact is the math would indicate that there is a lot more coursing through the veins of just about everyone we encounter than just the good ol redwhite&blue! Same goes for disease. I don't believe the existence of most of it is caused by long-term monogamous relationships. When you are only as safe as the very last physical contact you have and you deal in a world of relative strangers, well, you get the picture. I hope these are not interpreted to be negative comments. I truly am just trying to figure out the mentality of the profiles I read. It strikes me the whole "d&d free" thing is either a formality/some sort of cover-your-ass disclaimer or just people kidding themselves.

hosting parties - would love to hear from everyone -
I have to echo Sara. People don't know how to RSVP. Put that in your invite. If it is a small house party RSVPing is mandatory. If you plan to fill your house to the rafters with drunken swingers a few couples more or less isn't a problem. One way to force RSVP's is to not give out address until you get an RSVP. There is a book called "Loving More" I don't know if it is available any more. It is a little dated. tells you how to find couples through personal ads! but the info on throwing a party is good.
Good points....We had planned on using the address thing to help solidify the rsvps...We have room for quite a few...as long as they all play nice..LOL But not sure we want to fill the place to the rafters...LOL Knowing at least approximately how many are coming is pretty vital info..we think. Sorta reminds me of that old song.."Four and Twenty Virgins"...LOL
