can we swing and still not be in sin ? - - Since I've been sucked into the swirling vortex of this thread, the only way I can feel like I haven't been robbed of the last 1/2 hr (give or take) of my life is to add my .02 Ok, I know I could just chalk it up to that which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger, but adding my input seems more satisfying.
I'll start off by saying that if you are doing this much research regarding religions and what they allow or don't allow regarding sexual activity it has to make me wonder if you're seriously considering converting to another religion just to save yourself the guilt of sin brought upon by whatever religion you happen to be at the moment. All religions have been formed and molded over the years by people. People who are not perfect, who have their own agendas. A sense of right and wrong doesn't come solely from religion. Many religions would like you to think that in an attempt to keep you in their camp and they'll be more than happy to tell you what is right and wrong for the rest of your life (in case you can't think for yourself).
But if you have to switch religions just so that you can sleep at night after a fun-filled evening of swinging, you have some other things to figure out. Or perhaps you should just start you're own religion, where you can make all the rules. In any case, I think its fairly safe to say that most religions believe quite strongly that those of us engaging in the swinging lifestyle are sinning by engaging in immoral activities, just cuz they don't use the actual word sin, doesn't mean anything. Its just more politically correct these days to say immoral. In any case though, they most certainly believe that we (swingers) will most definitely be going to a very special level of hell, a level reserved for... (sorry, narrowly avoided an obsure pop culture reference)
As for me, yes I believe there is a God. And one of the few things that I think is accurately stated repeatedly in the bible is to love thy neighbor and I'm more than happy to spread the love around in whatever way/shape is available to me.

Single males - Single males - Swingers sites are like a garden with an apple tree (representative of single males) so full of apples that you cannot walk through it with a basket without apples dropping in and yelling eat me, no eat me!! There are always going to be some great apples on the tree if you like an apples. If you really like apples you can pick as many as you want and have pie. The ones all over the ground you have to step around are sometimes rotting. Nobody puts the rotten apples on the ground in their barrel at least intentionally. So really you cannot judge the barrels of good apples by the ones rotting on the ground. If you like an apple every now and again but do not want to deal with them every time you walk through the yard cover your basket when you walk by the apple tree. Mark no in your profile in regards to single men. Then you can go pick the ones you really want when you really want them but you will occasionally still have to deal with the one on the ground that do not understand why nobody wants them in their barrel. There are a lot more ripe apples on the tree than rotten ones on the ground. The down side of the rotten ground apples on the ground only happens because there is a tree full of good apples in the garden.
I Have A Question - Poly vs. Open - We have found we are very flexible but with preferences. If we contact a couple and meet them for a drink or dinner and we have some great conversation and the attraction is there, it opens numerous possibilities. If we get naked the experience can range from OMG to let’s not go there again. Polyamory requires effort and commitment that we are not looking for, we want FWB that we can see when the timing works out. Not getting naked is ok also and sometimes we meet folks in the lifestyle that just become friends and not sexual partners.
We try to keep it simple and never take it seriously and we have been fortunate to have a close group of friends who we enjoy being with. We also enjoy meeting new couples wherever we are. We enjoy events where we can meet other swingers like Naughty in Nawlins. We have had some incredible experiences and again just some so so experiences also.
The point is we do not define ourselves as polyamory but we know what we like and we never consider the specifics of what it is besides swinging.
Swingers of Color - - Thats not been our experience. We have seen many of the ethnicities you listed in the lifestyle. Of course not in the numbers that you see whites, but still plenty.
Just not in our current area......
