Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? - As I state plainly on my profile: "I'm strictly hetero, but there is just ONE thing ... DVP. I have always wanted to try it, and I think the male to male contact required would be more than acceptable (on a ROI basis, LOL!)." (:-)

another club under fire - club in peoria - Slimguy: Hmmm, I know at least as many conservative swingers as liberal swingers... maybe more. This may surprise you. There are conservative versions all of the categories of people that you imply. Conservative "prudes" may be who you are referring to but I'll wager that there are as many liberal "prudes" voting against this club in Peoria as conservative "prudes". Ignorant (to the world of conservative swingers), closed minded and pea brained is frankly how I'd describe your comment.

Original humans as swingers? - Provocative theories based on Bonobo sexual behavior - The author of the CNN article has co-written a book "Sex at dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality" Have not read it yet, but will soon. It is interesting to see that the bonobos engage in sexual practices such as oral sex, anal sex, gay sex, and group sex, as a matter of course. Could this be the way early humans practiced their sexuality? What about pair bonding? If memory serves, from what has been observed in Emperor Penguins, they pair bond for as long as it takes to raise a chick to self-sufficiency. If the egg does not hatch, or the chick dies before then, the bond is dissolved and the two find new mates for the next season, just as when the chick is able to care for itself. Could this be the way early humans pair bonded? Would this explain the "seven year itch"? Or as Dr. Ryan says," An individual male's "parental investment," in other words, tends to be diffuse in societies like those in which we evolved, not directed toward one particular woman -- or harem of women -- and her children, as conventional views of our sexual evolution insist." Could it be that both pair bonding, and communal parenting were practiced? It seems that some societies did in fact practice some form of sexual conflict resolution, while others practiced conflict of arms. Was that an evolutional turning point? Just some questions to ponder.... Myself, I came to the conclusion that the concept of marriage as we have it originated with the agriculture , as at that time it became important to know that your possessions were going to be inherited by your offspring, independent of reading any scholarly works on the subject. So the idea that early humans lived communally and had sex communally doesn't seem too far fetched.

First time? - - Well said by doers...I think its normal for different approaches to this as well. We've been members on here for quite sometime now, but we really havent done anything in this while...I guess we wouldn't call ourselves "swingers" either but we do enjoy going to the occasional party/event from time to time and catching up with old friends...both of you need that communication as one maybe "ready" whereas the other may not be...that being said...the one that feels "ready" should never be pushy...just take it slow...have fun..and in time, things will happen ;)

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
we were kinda getting busy last night when the story aired, and just now watched it on the web. Wanted to add something useful to this thread, but see that it has taken a downward, spiraling turn into some geeky abyss.
You're right. Let's discuss sports. Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Poly ideas - Ethical non-monogamy...I like that label. - We were thinking of starting a gun store for swingers and calling it "Poly Armory". But then we realized we like money too much, and investments based on bad puns are never really a good idea.

OUCH - Anyone caught swinging bu family or friends? - On a boat a boat, fishing, with my boss and his wife when she starts asking Raychel about our swingers profile her daughter saw on the internet. Aside from all the obvious problems like why is their HS aged daughter cruising swinger profiles; the other daughter lives in boston and would not know us from anywhere; why are they talking to each other about this; and can I swim to shore. So that's pretty odd. Bob P.S. We went for the Clintonesque defense of what do you mean by "swinging".

Std and sti testing...? - -
We have a $40.00 co-pay. If physicians are doing their job, they will ask you questions. Whereas our physicians know that we are non-monogamous we always have a non judgmental honest conversation, with our physicians about our sexual activities since our last examinations. Testing does not replace condoms, and that is especially true if you are willing to play with someone who does not get tested on a regular basis. Swinging multiplies the swingers risk. Risk prevention is a choice. We feel less comfortable playing with someone who always uses protection but never gets tested than someone who may have occasionally foregone protection but gets tested regularly so long as they have been tested since the last time they had swing sex without or really even with protection. Which leads into the next paragraph. Sometimes people choose to form relationships involving maybe just two couples, or a small group of people that get tested on a regular basis and remain exclusive, partly so that they can play without condoms. Yes there are still risk, and you have to be really careful about who is in the group, and really who even knows about the group. Yes we have been part of a group like that in the past and it rocks! Oh well, people get new jobs and move away, or go back to monogamy, or want to play the field again and groups disband. We would do it again with the right group of people. We count ourselves lucky that as swingers we have remained healthy. Swinging is risky. Certain types of activities add to the risk. Anything that increases the level anonymity between sex partners, or decreases any participants level of personal choice and control adds to their risk. Testing and condoms reduce the risk but they do not eliminate it. We all make our own risk verses reward choices. Testing at least lets us know that at that point in time we appear to be safe to play without putting our lovers at risk.
Dear Delicious— thank you so much for your thoughtful reply/discussion here. There ARE a lot of factors and risks to consider while in the Lifestyle; we’re all after fun, right? Good to be thinking of ways to avoid negative consequences that would put a big damper on the fun...
