swingin - thought this site was a swingers site - Not everyone goes to a swingers party with sex on the brain.
Many go looking forward to conversation, good food, good wine or other drink, connecting with old friends, making new ones.
If sex happens, great! If not, a great night was still experienced.
There are some though who go expecting sex, are quite crude and crass and then leave the party in a huff because nobody would partner up with them.
Go to any online community that is geared for a specific topic or lifestyle and you will always find off topic conversation. Why is that? Because human beings are multi-faceted beings with a wide variety of interests. We crave knowledge, humor, entertainment, enlightenment, you name it, we want most of it, if not all. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - Much of what has been said I agree with, but I do know poly couples in the lifestyle. Their swinging is a bit more complicated as far as the decision process because I would imagine that such a decision would need to be agreed upon by all partners involved.
The biggest difference I think between regular swingers and those who are involved in poly relationships is while most people who swing would shun the development of emotional ties to other swingers thinking it would be the doom of their spousal (primary) relationship, those who are also involved in or those who are open to the possibility of poly relationships would welcome the development of additional relationships for what they are knowing there is neither a need to replace their spouse or run off with the person they have formed this new relationship with. It does add further complication to their life, but it can also enrich it tremendously.

Hollywood Swingers? - - Discretion is the name of the game. You could go through my trash for last 20 years and never find one scrap of paper showing my wife and I were swingers. New Years Party (1/2 In Pocatello) - Let's celebrate 2015 and welcome 2016!! - Well, it is that time of year for us all to look back on the year that is just about over and reflect upon it as it has been an interesting year for our group of sexy friends. It is also time to look ahead to 2016 in the hopes that it will be an even better year for us all.

La2016 - Need advice - I agree with what lookin4fun369 says, but you also need to be prepared to be approached by couples if you venture out into the event space.
What you're looking for based on your profile is the same thing that the majority of swingers are also keeping an eye out for... The elusive unicorn. Yes these magical creatures do exist, but they are difficult to corral. There are many that can be found behind the lcd of your computer screen, but to actually entice one into a dinner date, followed up with play time can be seemingly impossible at times! In fact... We had one completely disappear after making a dinner date just hours before this very night!!! Yes... We had communicated for several days and she made the arrangements... Only to disappear in a trail of glitter.
Do not be discouraged, as your quest will certainly take you on the adventure of a lifetime... But keep in mind... Sometimes it's the journey, not the destination that the excitement lies.
