Why do they run? - Why do most couples run when you suggest a real full swap? - Like what was said in the post above..we are not looking to replace our mates. It\'s not the fear of replacement for us either. We tried the first time on sepreate beds, and neither of us liked it very much. We both missed each other as we could hear each other but not see. When we all moved into one bed, it was a million times better. I must confess that I get more enjoyment watching my wife get or give then I do getting it most of the time. We prefer to play all together, not as two seperate couples the whole time, such as both guys playing with one wife while the other wife is pleasing her, etc. and when we do pair off, I love to reach over and hold my wifes hand as she is coming and I love to feel her hands in my hair as I please the other wife...It\'s just what we are into. We have zero interest in playing apart. We are very much in love and are so tuned into each other that many times it is hard just to seperate and go to work. I know we might be making some of you sick, but that is the way we are and any of you who have met us will back this up. We are not judging, the last thing anyone needs is more judgement. If you like to split up, more power to you, it\'s not our thing and we have no interest. If this makes us les than swingers, well then, we are less than swingers and happy :) Have fun with what ever your thrill is! Art and Dawn

Friday Hangouts? Moose... Nightshade??? - Looking for Fun Friday Outing - We have been to Moose Lounge a few times but its been a few months. Usually have fun. Definitely more fun with a larger group of "stylers" there. It is an interesting mix of "swingers" and younger gay/bi/straight people but they all mix well and makes things kind of fun and interesting. Just curious if people from here still go to Moose or if there is a new better spot.

Carnival Legend March 29 - April 8 - - Any other swingers out there going on this cruise and would like to meet to meet for a drink or two?? J & L

Why Be In Utah? - -
Actually I've always wondered the same thing about Florida. Substitute the crazy Mormons for the Bibile thumpers from Orlando north into the panhandle, add in the hurricanes, torrential rains, gaters, snakes and mosquitos...besides, I've heard the snow skiing is HORRIBLE there. But I'll bite. 1) No porn. You can buy dirty magazines but (unless you know where to go) hard core x-rate movies are technically illegal to sell. A non-issue in the internet age. If you're still buying dvd's at the local porn emporium you need to maybe update your computer or your media server or something. 2) No real beer. Again a myth. You can only buy 4% (by volume) beer in grocery stores but you can get full strength beer at state liquor stores, restaurants and places like brewery stores. Try getting ANYTHING to drink in some dry towns/counties in the Bible Belt. 3) True to some extent, although Salt Lake City itself is VERY eclectic and quite liberal politically. But at least our LDS lawmakers know basic female anatomy and have somewhat of a grasp of proven basic science. No kooky evangelicals freaking out every time someone mentions birth control or evolution. 4) Most people are afraid of Mormons? Really? I've heard they have horns and the missionaries CAN be a little annoying when you're fucking and they're ringing the doorbell but I don't think people are truly afraid. Besides, contrary to popular belief the swing scene here is alive, active and vibrant. I'd wager that per capita we have more, and more active, swingers than just about any place you can name. All that repressed Mormon sexuality eventually bubbles to the surface and until you've fucked a formerly repressed little Mormon girl who's discovering her sexuality you, my friend, haven't fucked! :-)
Exactly what I was going to say but I would add in that it's more of an out door culture here. So many outdoor adventure activities to do here.

Original humans as swingers? - Provocative theories based on Bonobo sexual behavior -
I'm happy evolution took away our hair and did a lot of other cool stuff to us, but it's too bad we couldn't have latched onto that method of conflict resoultion.
If you read the article in the link above the video, the author postulates that 10,000 years ago a shift in our way of life (agricultural revolution) also shifted the sexual paradigm. And that is why that method of conflict resolution was abandoned, not because of evolutionary pressures, but because of social pressures. Being that it only occurred 10,000 years ago that is why the basic instinct has not changed, and why humans still seek sexual variety, even multiple partners. That theory is so radically different from most other evolution theories it is akin to Copernicus suggesting that the earth was not the center of the universe. History and science have proven Copernicus right, what about this theory?

Disabled Swingers - - The opportunity for me to play with someone who has a physical handicap/disability has never presented itself. And I've never even given it much thought, one way or the other. But I see absolutely NO reason why it would enter into my decision on whether or not to play. There but for the grace of God go I.

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

seniors - why is it so difficult to find senior swingers or single ladies? - I am 52, and considered a senior or close to it, and i have had more pus----y than a lot of these kids who think they are all that. I have my memories of the 20year olds I have been with and they remember me too. though they are now 40. Age isnt that important.I dont feel insulted by the discussion at all.

Hello summer - Swingers couple party - Dick is abundant and low value. If we want an extra, it’s super easy to find. Having a bunch of single males at a party doesn’t really add to the party and can make the dynamics weird. It’s not personal (usually), it’s just the way it is! And frankly, single men attending parties (or demanding to attend) are usually a red flag unless a woman or couple can personally vouch for them.
