We have been around this stuff a good while. Actually we have never tried to meet a couple on this website, we gave that approach to meeting long before this website came to be. (I know my ass doesn't look that old but it is trust me)
Fakes have always plagued these boards, it was FAR WORSE when you didn't have the verification systems in place and while these are good they are still not a guantaree you are dealing with the real deal. The now infamous "Christylynn" was certified as a "real couple" and technically they were a "real couple" just not what you had planned on. You can e-mail someone back & forth till your fingers bleed but your will not truly know what's behind door number two until they walk through the door.
The best way to try and eliminate fakes and flakes is obviously to meet them in person. The only way to hope to be successful is NOT to plan an evening out with ONE COUPLE. We are fortunate enough to have a variety of swingers clubs and organized lifestyle parties in our area to use as a place to meet where we can not only see the couple we can SEE the couples interaction. (This is the part that helps you avoid the flakes) This works great for people like the original poster who lives in West Palm Beach Florida and this is what I recommend.
For those who live in Alta, Utah (Pop.304) this approach is not so good. You fine folks in Alta will probably have to do a little more on-line work to round up some party people. (Just start with real seal at MINIMUM and work it from there...good luck.

We like to think that we're doing what makes both of us happy. If that makes us swingers or polyamorous, or whatever, then that's cool with us. Our label we give ourselves isn't important, nor do we care about it.
We beg to differ. That label is important from certain standpoints. Now, if you meet us and tell us you are a poly couple seeking a poly relationship, we can tell you it won't go far since that is not what we want. That way, you know it isn't going anywhere fast and so do we. No need to drag it out for a while and then "I thought you...." or "I got the impression.....". If I am looking for a certain type of relationship, isn't it better to know up front and not waste anybody's time and get hurt feelings?

Are the two of you, perhaps, being a bit reactionary about this thread? Pebbles I would agree that many if not most everyone involved in someway with the swing scene is mostly trying "to get their fuck on" and I appreciate you honesty, but to offer the guy a rope? Why are people not answering? - - I agree totally. The most aggravating are those who send an email expressing interest, you reply courteously and never hear from them again. Might as well reply to their email with " Take a long walk on a short pier", or "Kiss my ass" for all the good it does. And those who do it know who they are...even more disgusting are those who do answer emails, schedule a meet and then disappear, never to be seen or heard from again....or they do schedule a meeting and never show up....(how many cups of coffee is a realistic amount of time to wait? ) then you realize you have been "had again". Seems to me there is an inordinate number of voyeurs vs. swingers. Jim
