Travel and first time - - I completely understand how she feels. And just for what it's worth, you two are at an age where a lot of couples head for divorce court anyway. There's no sense in driving in that direction if you don't have to. So, in my opinion, if you communicate really well, and are just looking for a little bedroom spice once in a while, going where you're unlikely to build a relationship isn't a bad idea. There are bunches of swinger sites all over the country. I'd suggest looking up a few swingers clubs in the area you want to visit and ask them what the predominant swing sites are in their area. Once you get comfortable with the lifestyle, and feel like the risk is less, doing it closer to home is fun, and more convenient. Mr. Sexperimentors

Why did you join Swingular? - Wondering what brings people here - lol..everyone here started out as "We joined....." well, I joined because I am looking to enrichen my life with new friends, new people, and have fun in the meantime. There are so many people out there who are stuffy individuals; swingers just let loose and whatever happens, happens! (Not to mention a friend of mine reccommended this site and convinced me to join.....)

Party Etiquette - How do people manage risks? - Mr here. So, the party that we went to before Halloween was a good party. It seemed much like another orgy that I participated in a few years ago, except this time I had Ms. Honeybunny with me :) That made me a little more aware of how people were interacting with each other, and I have a few questions about etiquette in those situations. Obviously, protection is important for a number of reasons, and pretty much everybody there was using condoms, cleaning toys after use, etc. However, one thing that I did not notice anybody using was dental dams or any kind of protection for oral sex. In a world where 70% of Americans have some form of herpes, for example, how do you deal with the risk of contracting it if you don't? Or what if you have other STDs? I would hope that if you have a temporary STD like chlamydia you would avoid lifestyles events until it cleared up, but nobody was talking about it. What if you have a more permanent STD, like the herpes mentioned above? Or AIDS? Or HPV? Two of those are really common, but also relatively harmless; do people just assume that other swingers do/don't have them or that the risk in not meaningful? I didn't really hear anybody talking about it, but I"m not sure if that's unusual or not. What's the typical protocol for situations like that? Also, now that I'm thinking about it. What would be the protocol if you DID pick something up from an event?

Polyamory - polyanorous couples. -
By general definition all swingers are polyamorous. Polyamory (from Greek ???? [poly, meaning many or several] and Latin amor [love]) is the practice, desire, or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. Polyamory is a less specific term than polygamy, the practice or condition of having more than one spouse. The majority of polygamous cultures are traditionally polygynous, where one husband has multiple wives. Polyandrous societies, in which one wife has multiple husbands, are less common but do exist. Marriage is not a requirement in polyamorous relationships.
That is the wikipedia definition and is not correct.

What is up with Utah?! - Swingers in Utah and nowhere else? - There are some here in OHIO! Go Bucks!

Single Females/couples. What makes another couple stand out? - -
What makes a couple stand out to you? We are new and VERY inexperienced. We aren't sure how to be noticed. How to connect with like minded individuals. What draws you to someone's profile? What makes you message them? What keeps you interested?
The situation in Utah is different than many other localities because there is not much of a club scene. By that I mean swingers clubs, most large cities have at least one or more. These are places where you can meet friends to have sex or fool around or even make new friends. They are very popular in Houston, we have 5 clubs. While its not what we like many younger people do like them. You probably will not meet a single girl but you could meet a couple or single guy. Some couples prefer swinger resorts or cruises for sexual activity with others. We prefer dating other couples and getting to know one another over drinks and if everyone agrees then getting naked and exploring our boundaries. Of course attraction is the first thing we notice but how a couple expresses themselves in their profile really makes a difference for us. Parties are also a great way to meet people and meet and greets are also. We have no problem emailing couples we are interested in or think we might be attracted to and we probably get a response 10% of the time and maybe end up meeting less than half the time. Usually if we meet something happens sexually if everyone agrees and is having fun. Your profile reads well and you are young and attractive. You need more pictures of the both of you even if they are just fully are partially clothed. One pic is unlikely to get the attention you seek. If you want to start with a single lady your chances go down significantly because there are few of them out there and they get to be particular on who they choose to meet. With single men its just the opposite, there are many and they will mostly meet anyone. Look at some of the other profiles and see what you like and try to incorporate that into your profile. If you decide to be really particular on who you meet then you will probably meet fewer people. Patience and a sense of humor about the whole thing will go a long way in helping you have fun times in the lifestyle.

Male on male - Not sure if this is where this goes, but male on male tonight only. - i'm obviously supportive. i'm amazed that so many supposedly free thinking male swingers on Swingular project such a homophobic attitude. and i'm sure every bi guy on here has been contacted by the male half of a supposedly str8 couple looking to get some MM action on the side. one of the best things about being bi is to learn how much fun it is to GIVE a blow job. i used to think that women were doing me a favor by going down on me. know i know why so many women love it. i've also met women who just wanted me to invite a second guy so they could watch two guys go at it. and women who thought they were dating a str8 guy until he undressed and saw that he was wearing women's underwear. i guess what i've learned is there is a lot more variation in human sexual behavior than i thought when i was younger. obviously the majority of people are more comfortable with the opposite sex...but that doesn't make MM or FF play wrong or ever the slightest bit unusual. imho.

Interracial Sex - Would you? - Hi All~ Being new to this forum, but a veteran of other forums, I'd just like to add my humble opinion on the subject of bias & prejudice. Why it surprises anyone that it still exists in this lifestyle mystifies me. After all, we are a microcosm of society, and just because someone enters this lifestyle, it doesn't mean they leave a lifetime of learned prejudice at the door. I don't agree with it, and I'll never accept it, but I'm not surprised by it. If those with a bias do last in this lifestyle, they will eventually learn to accept all people for who they are. The alternative is that they don't last, because the majority of us will not accept them! If we as swingers can help just one other couple or person to become enlightened, then we've done far more than society as a whole. We are by far a marvelous bunch of people. J

What about the lifestyle didn't meet your expectations? - Preconceptions and disappointment. -
While I agree with your premise in principle, I would argue that by sheer repetition alone swingers would eventually have to get at least a LITTLE better at sex...or succumb to swinger Darwinism and 'de-select' themselves from the lifestyle. LOL
hmmm . . . me thinks thou does't protest too much! 😉🤣 I guess we've just been lucky . . . or we are too low in our 'circulation' - but, we've had GREAT experiences (so far)! 😊😉

Single male in this lifestyle.. - I have questions for couples and single females. -
Hey, bucko. Polaroid cameras didn't grow on trees ya know. And our P.O. box was like 10 bucks a month! Then there was the HUGE cost of depilatory creams, gaudy gold jewelry and Nehru jackets.
Well, that was the ONLY advantage to being a single male in the lifestyle back then. NOBODY was going to ever answer any ad you put in the mag, so there wasn't any point in spending the big bucks on a Polaroid, and they didn't come out with cheaper ones that most people could afford until what, late '70s I think it was? (I wonder how many people on the site ever even saw one of those) Anyway,no need for a camera or a PO box for replies, there wouldn't ever be any replies. That "advantage" was offset big time by the fact that the only way you ever even knew about any gatherings, let alone got into them, was if someone knew you and asked you. Which hardly ever happened even if you knew a couple dozen swingers, like I did, because it WAS essentially wife swapping back then. Or if not full swapping, a sort of swapping with everyone in the same room So if you didn't have a lady with you, you had nothing to offer. I was incredibly lucky 'cause I was really good friends with a few couples, friends to the point that I once in a great while got to got with the mrs. to a party. If it weren't for that I doubt I'd have ever gotten into anything. I'm not certain, because it was something that never came up with me personally, but as far as I knew, back then single guys weren't even welcome if a couple brought them. It was all one guy and one girl, or forget about it. I don't really know what went on through the few mags, because, knowing it'd be a waste of time, I never bothered. And I never had to buy disco clothes, I grew up with Hippie rock and folk, and always hated disco as what destroyed rock and roll as well as folk. Hell, the only difference in my clothes now is that the jeans aren't flares or bells and the shirts aren't either flowered of psychedelic 'cause nobody makes them anymore. But I do still have Frye harness boots, same as in the '70s.
