Several apps like that HAVE been developed. One was actually offered to members of another swing site we're on. It failed miserably because people wouldn't, for various reasons, use it. We never used it personally. Some people apparently thought the potential for being outed as swingers was too great to risk using it. Another app was written by a friend of ours and it supposedly had some safeguards in it that he had designed but Apple wouldn't allow it in their app store...I guess because it's purpose was to help people swap spouses. \_(ツ)_/¯

This story is no different than car accidents during a NASCAR race or sex scenes on the Game of Thrones. The public gets a little look at something titillating and taboo wrapped up in a way to make it consumable without feeling guilt. It was not about the woman who called the station, she was just the excuse to work sex into a news story.

It's kind of two sided. Short term we think would be mostly bad. Long term continual exposure would eventually breed a level of tolerance from some of the vanilla community. Unless you wanted to be maryter no it's not a good idea. We wouldn't do an interview. Frankly for most of us swinging is not at all what defines us nor occupies very much of our time.

1) Ucouple - you did a FANTASTIC job of calling out all the things I was thinking about rude3050's profile and you weren't rude or condescending. You were sincere and helpful and that is AWESOME! 2) rude3050 - you took the constructive criticism and advice you were given and acted on it right away, very effectively and without getting defensive. Good on you man! Your profile just improved by leaps and bounds today. I don't have any idea what the lifestyle scene is like in Kansas but the changes definitely improve your odds. Kansas swingers take note of this guy!
3) All the other thoughtful, encouraging and kind words in this thread...kudos all around!
We all tend to get hung up on the bad behavior - sometimes it seems like there is an awful lot of it. I think the majority of the real people on this site value kindness, honesty, inclusion, etc. I'm going to make an effort to focus on and call out the positive more often - starting now. Burnt out from searching - - Keep in mind that a lot of profiles on here are entirely fabricated, or inactive. You can't trust the "Last Visit" date on their profile because swingular puts inactive profiles online to give the feel of more activity than there really is. We know this because we have an old profile on here that we abandoned a long time ago and we don't even remember the password. We see it showing up on the "Members Online" page sometimes. I can assure you, that member is NOT online.
Anybody else notice that so many of of the new members, almost always from outside of Utah, have their profile pictures posted sideways. Bots can't see when that happens, they're just populating empty fields. There are three of them showing up in the new members list as we type this.
Swingular is a Utah centric site. We moved to South Carolina for a while and we sent out maybe 100 messages to members that "were online" at the time, and never got a single response. We never got a message from any of the "active" members on our area. Nobody ever accepted a single friend request. But there were plenty of active swingers showing up on the site. Weird.
