But a party like that is also an ice breaker.. have coffee and softdrinks some cake and or cookies and depending on the group hot wings(which could make for an interesting night....for some lucky souls..We try to keep alcohol to a bare min for several reasons.... People have to drive home... The presentation starts during the afternoon so the swinging starts early... Alcohol also dulls the sex drive... and alcohol can be a reason for the local constabulary to break into the event. If no alcohol is present and noone goes outside then there is very little that the law can do... A way to get a party started and a fun evening for all. make sure that condoms are available... This whole thing brings back a memory...many years ago (please excuse some of the "wording" as it's not meant to offend, it's simply exact quotes of others)...
When I was a young Second Lieutenant, my unit was sent to do "riot control" for a large march by Hosea Williams and his group...as you can guess, the Klan, skinheads and other distasteful groups planned to (and did) show up to "counter protest"...my unit was scheduled to be deployed between the two groups...
The night before, I was talking to my platoon...talking about the possibilities of the next morning when the march/protest...hoping that I might prepare them for the verbal abuse they were sure to endure, we talked about it and how to react...my platoon sergeant (who happened to be black) asked me "So sir...are you saying they might call me Nigger?" Of course, it was said tongue in cheek...he KNEW that is what we were talking about...knew it was going to happen...and simply put us all at ease by just saying it and getting it out in the open...his response was so true:
"Sir, those are just words and I really feel sorry for those people who have so much anger and hate in them that their only outlet is such an ignorant display - if they were really capable of expressing themselves intelligently they wouldn't have to resort to that - when I remember that, I realize just how much I feel sorry for them...and it's hard to get mad at someone you pity" - plus, I'm a soldier and I have sworn to protect their right to call me a Nigger"...
At that, everyone in the room laughed quite loudly...my platoon sergeant was quite the philosopher if you ask me...
SO, Don Juan...free free to make all the comments you want...no matter how ignorant, angry or uninformed they may be...I will continue to defend your right to do so...if you ever come to realize just why you are allowed to say those things without fear of persecution, maybe you'll change your mind...

No not at all. Wearing a black ring is really subtle. Flaunting would be doing something you know is making someone uncomfortable personally and or socially. Doing a lap dance in the middle of Taco Bell in front of a bunch of kids would be flaunting it in our opinion. Not the right place or time. Doing a lap dance for someone at a swingers event is probably cool so flaunting is also probably cool in the right place. Maybe we should say we avoid expressing our sexuality when it might offend someone.

We\'ll be the first to answer..
So far our swinging experience has been with 4 people, one long term friend who before and after we continued to meet for drinking, meals, bowling, cinema, fire\'s in the desert and just hanging out (no sex). The next we meet a couple of times for drinks and dinner before getting sexual and haven\'t had chance to re-meet yet. Following that it was definatly a one time only (not our intention, but we were lied too) and the verdict is still out on the 4th. Of course we we like #2 & #4 to become friends to hangout with benifits when they happen, but we\'ll have to wait and see.
Does anyone else wonder about this stuff?

All I was saying is that a few bad experiences can make people NEVER want to try something.
Also, there is the issue that if they are not really interested in it from square one, and there are a few bad experiences, the question people like that ask is "Why am I bothering?" Take our case for instance. We don't really desire for single males or females. Those we have played with in the past have come with baggage. So, why would we be interested in venturing into that territory? Baggage + lack of interest makes it a hard sell should some single male or female come looking.
