Certainly. We're just not inclined to ask unless we suspect something. The Mrs. was wondering whether a question like "Did we see you at Casino Royale?" might be enlightening. The reasoning is that only someone in the lifestyle will be familiar with the that event while others will take it to be a reference to the James Bond movie.

Meeting other swingers is definitely part of the motivation but we also like to dance. Our preference would be a swingers club with a dance floor. As far as we can tell that doesn't exist here so we're in search of the best approximation.

Does anyone even read the botty call list ?? - booty call - I read it every couple days, but alas there are no posts from anyone in the Los Angeles area. I posted there and got zero response, so I wonder if there are any living swingers in Los Angeles. Even when I search who is online I get listings from New Jersey, CT, ME all coming up as 14 to 18 miles from me in Los Angeles but when I write I get told they are across the country from me, so either my profile is messed in the database or the search doesn't work right. Don't worry. Not gonna slam ya. Just curious what state(s) you're talking about. We've lived and 'swung' :-) in a number of different states. Additionally we're on another, older swing site that is FAR larger than this one and people on that site often complain about how closed, cliquish and inhospitable swinging is in their particular area (most notably Minnesota where the site originated and especially in California where there is ostensibly a much larger population of swingers than in most areas). Personally we've found the swinging community here to be much more open than many areas we've visited. Of course openness is relative when it comes to an activity that most people tend to hide, like swinging.
Where to start? - So many options, so little time! - Sorry but people’s advice here is waaay to complicated. And honestly not really specific for these times.
Make a promise to each other that no matter what happens you will be honest with each other. This is the key! And you will be respectful and honest with whom you meet.
Then find a meet and greet style of party, show up, meet people and ASK QUESTIONS! Swingers love to help newbs. Use the car ride there and home to have honest discussions of the wants and why and then after you meet people positives and whom you might wanna ask out for a date.
