real members? - - I think you need to grow a new sense about people. Do you feel confortable with them over the net before you do anything. Do they seem to be real.. Can they spell simple words, is their grammer adult, how do they phrase things. Many times one can ascertain quite a lot by how and what someone says. Then we have kind of an unwritten rules:
1. Talk with people via the medium .. IM... the site we're on email and give no personal info until you feel that the people are at least stable.
2. Don't meet people or find people over an hour or so driving time
3 Meet very informally... We've found that a mall with a food court is a great place to meet. If the other couple fail to show take the misses shopping...
4. Once you meet you can exchange phone numbers or addresses as you feel comfortable doing. Maybe after the informal meeting meet at a local swingers club or dinner or bowling...what ever works to make sure they are a good match....and trustworthy.
5. The fun is open and go for the gold...
As for certifying couples... what does it mean other than there are really 2 people on the other end of that computer unless it is done by your peers who have met and or played with you. Thanks for the advice where to buy them. But about wearing a swingers identification... We presume you don't wear them on a birthday party with the family. But its a good idea to show you are swingers on vacation, public party's or elsewhere. These are the places to meet like minded people and how can you otherwise find them. If they like you, they will get in contact and if others recognise you as swinger without being a swinger themself, who cares!

Again, your experience is unique to you. It's been our experience that very few single men have been "pushy" or disrespectful. It's different for all of us and doesn't justify anyone trying to foil every single males swinging life by campaigning against them as a whole. Intolerance is never justified.
If you choose individually not to play with singles, then that is ok. We all have our preference. However, why try and bad mouth the entire group, in an attempt to demonize them to everyone else or to exclude them from social gatherings.
If you invite people that are interested in single males to your parties, it will even things out. I think a lot of it has to do with insecurity. I have yet to see a married woman fuck a single male at a party without the her and husband's consent.

Sorry you seem to be having problems but sometimes things just go with the territory. There may be a few times where someone may send a mail before completely reading a profile. We don't do it often but have had it happen a time or two and we are pretty sure we aren't the only ones who have made that mistake at least once.
Secondly, while your profile does state what you are looking for, please try and remember what type of site this is. While not completely uncommon, it is rare to find a couple "just looking to be social friends". Usually there is a desire to at least have some sort of "soft swing" , " girl on girl" etc.......
We don't see anything wrong with your reply to the other couple, there are times when a reply can lead to offense taken by the other couple no matter how well worded it may have been. No need to worry always, as it is impossible to please everyone everytime : ) Just do your best to be polite.
If you and your husband are not on the same level here, ie: one looking for more or less than the other, it might be a wonderful idea to take a step back, talk openly and honestly with one another and make sure you are both heading in the same direction before jumping in. If you truly love each other, it isn't worth losing a marraige over of course, and if either of you have any reservations regarding the other, this certainly wouldn't be the place to find those answers.
