Polyamory - polyanorous couples. - By general definition all swingers are polyamorous. Polyamory (from Greek ???? [poly, meaning many or several] and Latin amor [love]) is the practice, desire, or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. Polyamory is a less specific term than polygamy, the practice or condition of having more than one spouse. The majority of polygamous cultures are traditionally polygynous, where one husband has multiple wives. Polyandrous societies, in which one wife has multiple husbands, are less common but do exist. Marriage is not a requirement in polyamorous relationships.

Scorez - Bar - Anyone ever played poker there on Wednesday nights? Black ring on right middle finger can mean swingers. Not always...

Question - do you talk about other swingers? - good point HRNYLTLTART00 and WOLFMAJESTIC :)

Help With Wife - Wife has fantasies but is super hesitant to experiment. - Personally I think you might be a little too eager (can't blame you, we all were when we started) and pushing just a little too hard to make her fantasy a reality. Rather than trying to find a way to get around the "Catch 22" of her fantasy maybe just explore it more verbally and see if it evolves into some kind of scenario that she is comfortable with that more easily can happen in the real world. The most successful swingers we know, ourselves included, arrived at where they are by being open and supportive of each other's fantasies and desires without forcing them in any way. In other words, be patient, explore your fantasies verbally and maybe role play, a LOT, with each other before you jump into anything that either of you isn't quite ready for. You might be surprised as you fantasize openly and honestly how your fantasies might evolve and become something that you eventually can and will make a reality. You know your wife better than anyone and maybe she does need a little nudge but most of the swingers we've known over the years who've crashed and burned did so because one partner pushed the limits too fast and didn't wait for the more hesitant partner to catch up. In our case we were quite surprised and what our fantasies morphed into when we really dug deep and talked about the truly deviant (by local standards anyway-lol) aspects of our fantasies. Sorry, I know that's probably not the kind of advice you were hoping for but it's been our observation over a rather lengthy swinging career. Another thought, if you're bound and determined to make your first swinging experience a MFM, is to find a guy who is okay with just watching you two play or maybe getting involved in some soft swinging...i.e. back rubs and or touching but no intercourse. We were soft swap for the first year or two of our swinging life and it was great fun and took the pressure off until we were ready to take the next step. Best of luck! edit- Sorry about what now seems like a long rambling response. In my defense it was pre-coffee. [em]Emo_79[/em]

Bi-Sexual - lifestyle questions - Heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality are all normal and healthy sexual behaviors. Perhaps the majority of men are in fact heterosexual. Majorities don't define normal or healthy but they certainly do affect what some people openly accept and or embrace. More main stream studio pornography, early on, not only accepted but glorified bisexuality in women. Straight men, who may be in the majority, are excited by women, and therefore watching two women sexually excited together, having orgasms would most probably be exciting. I think so. Most of us, perhaps, tend to accept what we enjoy, and therefore, perhaps main stream studio pornography opened the door for a larger segment of the population to accept bisexuality in women. If some straight men endorsed it and that allowed any woman with a straight significant male other, that might know that she has bisexual interest, to go ahead and admit it then it might have become more openly practiced. Bisexual female behavior perhaps became more openly common within the more sexually exploratory non-monogamous communities. In the case of swingers perhaps the "trend" even began, and perhaps still does, just a bit, to socially penalize heterosexual women.

Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - heard about this on the radio this morning. I almost pissed myself. Not cool what the hotel did, but rather funny to have a soccer tournament stuck in a swinger hotel...

Sex vs. Guilt - Atheists have 'better sex lives than followers of religion who are plagued with guilt' - I hope the Admin doesn't mind this. If so, delete it. I found this interesting; a swingers site in Utah for Mormons. http://www.sdc.com/utah-swingers/church-of-jesus-christ_lds-swingers-utah.html Mr. Seperimentors

Seems Pointless - Seems Pointless -

Great responses. But my point is, that IF users aren’t allowing single males to message… why does the site even show the users who won’t allow them to communicate? Why not limit the search results to users who are able to be communicated with?
Because it’s a Swinger site … not designed for single males. But who knows, that might change given the number of single guys trolling on Singular.
Interesting. Hadn’t thought about it in those terms. Decided to look up the literal term. Swingers: a person who takes part in group sex or exchanging sexual partners.

Geocaching - - We are keen geocachers. We were wondering if there any other swingers into this hobby. Anyone up for a Meet & Greet & Cache?

Lack of Communication - Is it really that hard? - I've been thinking about this thread (and other's like it...they seem to come along every few months or so, along with the ones about whether or not condoms are a good idea or whether we're just caving to the big latex conglomerates) and I have a few additional thoughts. First, many (most?) emails we receive seem to have about as much thought put into them as one might put into which side of their hamburger to start eating on. If they aren't spammed out to multiple people the senders, at very least, don't seem to have the verbal capacity to write anything beyond, "We seen yer add and wanna put our naughty bits in yer naughty bits." [SIC] Is it that hard to include a little tidbit or two about WHY you think we might be a good match for you and why we would want to take time out of our busy lives to meet with you? And the few that DO contain more than a generic greeting or poorly thought out pick up line have obviously not read our profile (don't necessarily blame them...takes a minimum of a couple of hours to slog through) and don't know what we are and are not looking for. For Christ's sake, give us at least ONE compelling reason why you think we'd like to meet you such as, "We love fisting out stuffed ferrets too and also worship Satan as our lord and master. Let's have coffee." Second, when did we all become such Tender Heart Care Bears? And why do we necessarily feel entitled to a response to a more often than not spammed out email from people wanting to perv our locked pics? I've only written back to that nice Nigerian prince like ten or fifteen times before I finally got tired of him asking for my checking account number. Do you call back every carpet cleaning company that leaves a message on your voice mail? Do you send a nice polite note back the the guy who's running for president for the Violent Tyrannical Dictator Party and wants you to donate to his campaign fund? I mean, he was even nice enough to send you a self addressed stamped envelope. So maybe put a little thought into your solicitations. Give people a compelling reason to write you back beyond, "OMG, you're swingers? We're swingers too. We should totally fuck!". This goes double for single guys. Read the profile...even if you have to do it over two or three nights and use a dictionary to look up the big words. Take note of what people are and aren't looking for and especially if they mention your particular demographic. And last but not least, Don't worry about it if someone doesn't write you back. For all you know they've just survived a horrific bumper car accident at Lagoon or maybe they're 2 days in to binge watching all nine seasons of Matlock and haven't eaten or slept for two days. If you're consistently not getting any responses to your emails maybe you're fishin' in the wrong pond. Take a good long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly if Angelina Jolie REALLY would like to fuck you or if you're more likely to hit it off with Steve Buscemi or Nick Nolte.
