Policing Ourselves - Can it be done? - Recently a suggestion was made that we as a group need to educate and police ourselves as a group in this our chosen lifestyle (thats swinging for all us simple folk) .
In order to do this effectively wouldnt there have to be some set of rules that everyone would be expected to adhere to? What would those rules be? how would they be created and ratified? would swingers from their respective states send represntatives to a central location to vote on these rules(oops now we get into politics) ? If you were teaching a new person (regarless of marital status or gender) the rules about swinging what would you teach them first?
I really would love to hear as much as possible from you guys.

Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - As EdNBrenda said a very good book would be "The Lifestyle." It is a little bit dated but the book is research based and has a lot of interesting information from history to demographics. It is not a book to grab for raw excitement but a very good book for intellectual discussion. What makes it unique is the book seems very objective and was written by a non swinger doing his research as an observer of the lifestyle. For a bit more fun read Dave Barry's article on Swing Conventions - here is a bit of it (email me for all of it).

Other activities? - Do you only meet swingers for sex? - With some of the folks we have met it was sex only and the relationships didn\'t last. The couples we have met with recently have also gotten with us for other activities. They have helped us put up Christmas lights, had dinner and done a lot of other things that don\'t revolve around sex. Of course we don\'t pass up on the sex either. :-)

Some history and info that was very interesting to me.
My Dad, who has been a swinger for over 30 years, said that back in the early 70's (back when all they had to hook up with was a couple of magazines!) the 2 hot spots for swingers were California - Duh! and Utah - What?

I'll say, I've never been approached whether I've been wearing a black ring, polyam symbol, pineapple, buying the store out of unicorn cereal/merch, or otherwise, unless I've been at a lifestyle event. 🤷♀️ Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
