How do I go about getting a couples-only event approved and posted to the site? I am interested in inviting Utah Swingers to a Moulin Masquerade Meet-and-Greet Burlesque Show to be held on February 14th in Salt Lake City.

The format was superior to AFF as it was a one time fee and the quality of members was and still is far superior. Had it not been for that party we wouldn't know about this site. Now if you are looking to grow the site so that you have more $$ I think the best way is by search engine.
Here is why I suggest that. Back in 2001 when I did my looking it was all by the internet. I found AFF and made a profile and away we went. At that time I didn't know any swingers... and all the swingers I do know are already here. So really I wouldn't have anyone to bring to this site. I think your new customers will come from hosted parties and events.... Internet search (you have little presence there) and then friend referrals.
Now if you just want the base to grow and keep it quality then the word of mouth friend referral is the only way. Just my .02 Euro.
again this web site - profiles - First off your attitude would certainly deter us from wanting to meet you. As addressed in another post, a lot of people told you to post pictures and to get validated, it appears you have not done either, which is probably why you have not had any luck meeting anyone. Another thing to consider is that no swingers website guarantees you to hook up if you join, they give you the tools to meet others but in the end it is up to you. So before you place blame on swingular for your problem, you should take a look in the mirror first.
Met someone you know at a lifestyle event - - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. There's really no easy way to explain, deflect, lie, or otherwise extricate yourself from that situation. Counting, just now in my head, it's happened to us no less than half a dozen times. Everyone from family members (Ms. Evil's cousin), friends of friends (BFF's of our former next door neighbors), business acquaintances/clients, you name it. It's always such an unexpected shock that we invariably handle it poorly. LOL
ps- Happened again last night at a wedding, of all things! Not really a lifestyle event/party but plenty of swingers there and the implications were probably fairly obvious to anyone really paying attention.

What is up with Swingular and Drama? - - OK let me start off by saying this is an IN GENERAL post. Swingular was the first swingers site we joined. We only come around here now pretty much to be amused. The reason for this is that we can't read more than 3 threads on the home page with out encountering MAJOR DRAMA. The people on here (in general) seem to have a favorite past time of arguing with each other and inciting others to join in the mary fun. We repeatedly have come to the conclusion that this is the one aspect of our lives were the sole purpose is FUN and RELAXATION. I don't know about anyone else but arguing and drama and and anything else negative in the LS is just utterly ridiculous and reading the first four post on the thread labeled "porn mail" today just reminded me why we only come here for amusement.
We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - I think alot of people would agree that it can be difficult to find a good, solid 4-way connection when swapping with couples, and sometimes you don't know things aren't clicking until you're already playing. The best thing to do is put it behind you and move on to the next. When you finally do make that awesome connection with another couple, it makes the "not so good" experiences worth it.

People like that are not good "swingers" for lack of a better term. They are foolishly wagering their relationships to be self indulgant (sp?). The Lifestyle is about TRUST. It is about HONESTY. and believe it or not, supreme COMMITTMENT. I dont even really see how your situation has anything to do with swinging. The rules were set. The rules were broken. It is simply CHEATING.
Anyone who would enter in to a committed relationship, whatever type it is, only to break the rules that you two have agreed on as a couple is selfish in my book. This means you had NO respect for your partner. NO respect for thier feelings. And absolutely NO respect for the relationship. So why bother!?
Cheating is NOT a tennis ball to be whacked back and forth between courts, or awarded as some kind of concellation prize to the victim when one is caught. I think that behavior is just sick.
But thats just my little tiny .02 cents.
