Profiles, desires and diversity - Profiles, desires and diversity - this thought is a bit too removed from another post that was it's inspiration to be part of that post so I decided to start another. Positive personal declarations on our profiles in forums or anywhere about our relationships our physical bodies our hobbies, interest, our friends, etc., etc., are always reflections of inner self talk. Just because someone makes an affirmative statement does it mean that they are the bearer of absolute certainty at all time in all places and in all situations in regards to the person, place, activity, etc., etc., for which they are speaking? Certainly not, but that does not mean they are not still positive. Even though they have some doubts and fears they still may be extremely encouraged that the positive greatly out weights the negative. If you consider the ying yang nature of existence you cannot have faith without doubt or courage without fear. Personally I enjoy associations with people pursuing the positive. Why? I like to be happy. I will never be perfect and my life will always include a share of successes and failures in that not everything I hope to accomplish will go well. Never-the-less in spite of my inability to predict everything or control anything I am happy to be alive afloat in a sea of infinite possibilities. It has been said that life is a journey and not a destination. I am pretty positive about the journey. Negative statements or negative thoughts about others require some cynicism. Cynicism most certainly can be a personal defense system. Expressions of cynicism about those who mean to use us, con us, rule over us or repress us in some manner or unjustly exclude us are understandable and healthy. Expressions of cynicism especially when anger is included, without a good measure of open minded critical thinking and research are in my mind often quite counterproductive. Cynicism directed toward people in pursuit of wealth and greed or to find a scapegoat for our own mistakes is horribly dark. Racism perpetuated slavery for centuries and far too much violence and injustice in the modern world. Armies roll forth to this day in the name of ethnic cleansing. Armies cannot roll, legislation cannot be passed and supported in support of injustice and repression without the support of soldiers and voters. Our freedom to swing without fear of discrimination requires that non swingers not become to cynical about our life choice. Are we to often a house divided? As for life here at home and on the web, and on Swingular we can participate in 1000 cynical conversations, blogs, and forums, chats and so on and so forth and get 1000,000 affirmations reaffirming our cynicism and we can still be wrong. Wrong about a scientific theory just means you go back to the drawing board and keep searching and experimenting. Wrong about economic management means economic hardship and we can learn from experience. Wrong about people leading to attacks small or large, verbal or otherwise is part of the dark wind that takes our journey toward rough seas. Fear without reason represses everyone and everyone to some degree becomes a victim. Could not a single moment of introspection do more for us? If we look inside our own minds and honestly ask ourselves why we are cynics it might just take the dark wind out of our sails. A painful episode of introspection just might help us to see that the real monster in the closet is not the people we are condemning but in reality our own self doubt. What

Is this one of your rules? What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? -

242,

We (Tami and I) have never ran across anyone that said they didn't want to have sex and only wanted to make friends. We have ran across those that want to be friends (have trust established), first. The latter I can totally understand, as we are two people that require trust in people we play with. We also find attraction in the personality and minds of the individual. Have there been exceptions for us? Yes, however, we have found that "spur of the moment" play was unsatisfying and regrettable. We try not to label people. We just avoid those that are into something we are not. Just as a couple not into anal sex would avoid sexual contact with those seeking anal. We avoid those that want to hook-up on first meetings without inhibition. Why? There are forceful individuals, there are deviants, there are bi-sexual males that think they can touch without permission, there are people who drug others, there are people that smoke pot and others that can't be around it due to their profession. The latter doesn't have to end a friendship as we happen to be in professions that don't allow exposure, we just had to perfect a little dance with our pot smoking friends. Many people view this as a "lifestyle". We certainly view the "free thought and expression" as a "lifestyle" but the "sex with others", is a recreational thing that we can turn on and off like a switch. Sometimes we feel like playin with our swingers buddies and sometimes we just like talking, drink and having other types of fun with them. Swingers or "Libertines", as I like to refer to them, are mostly "free thinker" types so I like to interact with them on other levels as well. Though there are still those types that only swing for the sex and still have closed minds in regard to everything else. Those are the types I find strange. How you can be a conservative swinger is beyond me. However, I respect anyone's desire to fuck. So I do not judge. I just decide who fucks me and my wife. That's all. We all can't be compatible with everyone on all levels, all the time. It's impossible. Whether it's fucking or writing in the forum, there is always gonna be someone that doesn't like you. Trust me, I know this first hand. So, like ole Rick Nelson once said... You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself. That's a rule to fuckin live by.

Mormons - -

PICTUREDICK,

Before you do what a lot of individuals do on this site and make presumptuous comments, get to know the history of the website a little. The site was called something else when it started in FL. Rob, the founder of "Swingular" seperated from the co-founder of the original site. He moved to Utah and began marketing it here. That is why it is more prevelant in the two states. Polygamy in the local history has nothing to do with the amount of swingers on this site. It has everything to do with localized marketing efforts. The only people involved in polygamy in Utah are now mainly extreme minority offshoots of the LDS religion, like the FLDS or "Fundementalist Latter Day Saints" Church. They are shunned by the mainstream LDS church. They are the very reason many people today, still attach the word "polygamy" with mormons. I too, once presumed such things about them. After living amongst the mainstream members, I was quickly educated. I wasn't slamming you, it's just that we have a lot of individuals here that would rather presume or assume than take the time to research. It's kinda like people thinking most Texans are ignorant racist rednecks. While there will always be those that are true to the stereotype, it hardly means we should make such presumptions about the majority, when visiting. Hell they still hold KKK rallies in the south. There are lots of pitchforks and torches on swingular LOL!

Swinger & 🦄 Bait - An experiment to attract swingers and unicorns. - This is what I just happened to wear to the gym today and I went to the bank with my daughter. The manager had to come over and assist the teller where we were she commented on my shirt and said nice shirt and said thank you she went away came back very friendly talking about our transaction and then said nice black ring we both smiled at each other with an extra Sparkle in our eyes. So it does work sometimes we're just in a situation where we couldn't take it anywhere from there.🤔

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
So, Heidi has been stalking this thread... Sweet, please friend us :) We can share stories about how your other "news" friends chose to partake, but not publicize. Your story portrayed a woman forced into the lifestyle. Anyone forced should get out immediately. That is just wrong. The woman "shown" was not a willing participant and was being abused. It's sad that this was not the focus. Abuse in any form is wrong. She could have just as easily been sold on craigslist to spice it up. This was a very poor excuse for journalism. Good luck with your next "story." I'm sure this site thanks you for the free publicity though. Bring in the new recruits, as long as they are adults and making their own decisions...
There's little journalism here in Utah; it's about driving views whose numbers can be used for ad revenue. Titillation drives views. The curiosity gap ("You won't believe what happens next!") drives views. Informing is never considered necessary, only attracting views and/or clicks. There are hungry children in every county of this state but a salacious and sexxxay story is what they choose to put on the news? Useless entertainment masquerading as a higher purpose.

Host/hostess Party Rules? - - We have not been to a house party with more than 6 people attending (those were really more dinner parties followed by sex or just a play date) for probably more than two years. Some of the aforementioned social events were in our home. We prefer candle light having a nice meal and just a bit of alcohol as in no body getting really drunk and then moving into the bedroom. We have been to a number of larger house parties in the past but really stopped going to them years and years ago with exception of an occasional party held in Happy Valley by a host that has mastered the art of keeping his (Oh my gosh he is a single male) guest happy and for some reason at his parties nothing ever seems to happen that would make you feel like not coming back. What does happen makes you feel like cumming and cumming and cumming which we and others do when we attend. He should be charging at least a nominal laundry fee. Here again we have never ever had to contend with anyone either pushy or obnoxiously drunk (The two often do go hand in hand) in his home. He is a busy guy so he does not hold parties very often. The dude, who knows who he is can speak up if he likes. We are not going to reveal his name but he perhaps should write a booklet or maybe it would be a book on the art of throwing a successful swingers house party and or preparing a guest list. We would suggest he sell it online for $19.95 until Oprah endorses it and Random House makes an offer.
