What really defines a TRUE swinger? - - My definition of "Swingers" is a couple in which both partners have agreed to allow the other to have an intimate relationship with another person. There are lots of situations that fit that description and lots of emotional states that occur as a result of swinging but that description works for me. So as a single male I don't think of myself as swinger but as someone who enjoys hanging out with swingers!

asking your swinger friend if you can join them. - - Well, I have a co-worker that I have been friends with for a while and recently found they are a swingers, it wasn't shocking to me or anything just thought it was interesting. So some time has passed and I thought I wonder if I could join them sexually.
To me it would just be awkward to as him that. Obviously I'm not going to ask him "hey can I bang your wife?"
I don't care if it was both of them or just her, I've always thought she was hot and I consider my co-worker a good friend.

Christain Swingers? - - If your interpretation of the scriptures is very literal, then the answer is of course that swinging and christianity can not co exsist.
I am not a believer in the INSTITUTION of Christianity as a whole, I do not beleive that ANYBODY who has taken the time to educate themselves about the origins of Christianity (particularly the Roman Catholic Church) and organized religeon (sp?) could be a true believer, however that in no way means that I do not believe in GOD.
In both of our opinions, swinging is morally fine as long as both partners agree on the context, the rules, and always respect one another. If you do not keep these very sacred simple truths in any relationship, let alone a swinging relationship, it is doomed to fail.

Who in the relationship initiated the idea of joining the lifest - And why? - I lost my virginity to my hubby, and had no other partners Before we married. We were fortunately able to befriend an older (25's) couple in college who were swingers. When I started having all the usual "what am I missing" emotions, he suggested that we pursue the lifestyle. We were rather young for it... started at age 21... but it has become an integral part of our lives. Now we have been married over 17 years and have a better relationship and sex lives than ever.
Where are the Midwest Swingers? - - Actually, I gather that since this site administrator is from Utah, well, it goes without saying that it would be more 'focused' on that particular region, and more popular--if we DID live in Utah, this site would provide us with the time of our lives, hehehe! However, we are from Des Moines, Iowa, where Swingular has very very little impact....the [b]dominant[/b] site in the Midwest would be (and by a huge margin) Swing Village. It is based in central Iowa and the membership primarily spans IA, MN, NE, MO, IL, SD and KS. There are a few outside of this area, but not many.....
